Carson Flores's gaze fell upon the ground and the distant peaks, all mere black rocks with no sign of greenery or any trace of life.
Looking into the distance, one could not see the edge.
Carson retracted his gaze and turned to Finlay Murphy, which gave him quite a start.
Finlay was covered in blood, looking very miserable indeed.
Carson was well aware that this was the consequence of being torn by the Void Force. If they had left earlier, it might not have been so bad, but he had endured until the last moment, for "her" to no longer be sensed by the Immortal's Primordial Spirit Incarnation before his body finally gave out and he collapsed out of the Void Path.
"Senior Murphy, are you alright?"
Finlay answered with a feeble breath, "We've escaped far enough now. There shouldn't be any problems. Let's find a place to rest."
"Alright!"
Carson helped Finlay up, found a sheltered spot, and assisted him to sit down against the wall.
