It took Kiana two days to get used to when Luo Lin helped her cook. Now, she woke up in the morning like a sleepwalker, instinctively dressing and grooming herself only becoming fully awake when she sat at the table and was enveloped by the tantalizing aroma of the steaming food.
Then Kiana nodded approvingly, "Mmm, delicious!"
Luo Lin herself savored a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg, nodding in satisfaction. She hadn't actually cooked much before, but her keen Valkyrie senses allowed her to quickly progress in this regard.
"Kiana, you've almost finished all the food in the fridge. Can you buy some groceries on your way back from work tonight?"
"Mmm, mmm, mmm!!" The Tuna nodded dramatically.
Luo Lin sighed and said, "Finish chewing before you speak..."
"No problem! I can talk to the manager at the supermarket where I work and get some cheap meat, eggs, and vegetables on my way back!"
Kiana proudly raised her finger. "You know, I'm really good at dealing with people!"
"I can tell."
Luo Lin finished her breakfast, then followed Kiana out, riding their bicycles leisurely towards school.
Behind them, Fu Hua also got herself a bike and trailed after them.
"Isn't that K423?" Fu Hua adjusted her glasses, starting to understand why Otto had directly found her to confirm Luo Lin's identity—it wasn't just where she appeared, but also the people she came into contact with that seemed too coincidental.
K423... now known as Kiana Kaslana. According to Bishop Otto's information to Fu Hua, K423 was a clone created using Kiana and Sirin's DNA, who gained Sentience by chance, making her a successful experiment. So Fu Hua needed to focus on her in the coming years to ensure the success of future plans.
"What kind of plan?" Fu Hua had asked Otto at the time, to which the blond man responded with a meaningful smile.
"Do we have the possibility of creating another one, similar to the First Herrscher Welt, who is loyal to humanity?"
Although Fu Hua felt this plan sounded somewhat unreliable, Otto's confident demeanor made her swallow back some words of caution, merely warning Otto, "You'd better have many contingency plans. Don't let things get out of control."
"I won't, my old friend. Don't you know that I'm best at manipulating schemes and devising plans? Rest assured, you just need to keep an eye on her..."
Fu Hua stopped reminiscing and watched as Kiana and Luo Lin entered the Senba Academy. She hid in a secluded corner and pressed a button, her clothes gradually changed under the influence of Honkai energy, turning into the Senba Academy uniform.
Then, Fu Hua casually pushed her bike into the Senba Academy. She looked young, and wearing the school uniform, so she didn't attract the attention of the security guards or anyone else.
She quickly caught up with Kiana and Luo Lin strolling through the school, watching them enter the classroom and take their seats, starting another mundane day.
Fu Hua surveyed her surroundings and found a spot on the rooftop of a teaching building where she could monitor their movements during class.
"Recording: K423 and Luo Lin attend classes at Senba Academy. K423 seems disinterested in the courses, while Luo Lin doodles on her notebook, also seemingly disconnected from the current lesson."
As for what she was drawing...
Fu Hua raised her binoculars, but due to the angle, she couldn't see very clearly, but it seemed to be a... map?
"Ding ding dong, ding ding dong~"
Unbeknownst to her, the morning passed swiftly, and the rooftop where Fu Hua was stationed was opened by students with keys who were seemingly a couple, whispering sweet nothings.
Fu Hua stood beside the couple as she pushed her glasses up, and the red feather in her hand emitted a faint glow—[Key of Sentience: Fenghuang Down] was in effect, causing others to ignore her presence.
She continued to observe Kiana and Luo Lin's movements, watching as they went to the cafeteria for lunch, ate four meals, three of which went into Kiana's stomach. Then, they strolled along the shaded areas before returning to the classroom.
Other students noticed Luo Lin's return to the classroom and began to gather around to try and befriend her. Luo Lin, of course, was amiable and chatted happily with them.
Interestingly, Raiden Mei also came over to chat with Luo Lin today, seemingly interested in where she had previously studied—Luo Lin naturally responded fluently, having actually spent some time in the Shenzou education system.
After a chat, everyone was in good spirits.
However, Raiden Mei's attention to Luo Lin seemed to provoke some dissatisfaction among her followers.
They exchanged glances, and with their means, they naturally couldn't fail to discover Luo Lin's prepared identity. It seemed there was nothing they couldn't provoke, so they decided to arrange a small "warning" for Luo Lin.
Listening to their seemingly 'covert' conversation, Luo Lin couldn't help but roll her eyes.
The afternoon classes were uneventful. Both Kiana and Luo Lin were inattentive, but Kiana's antics were slightly less discreet and she was caught by the teacher for not paying attention and was called upon to answer a question.
Fortunately, Luo Lin came to her rescue in time, allowing Kiana to pass through this ordeal with a cold sweat. The teacher emphasized the need to pay attention in class, and Kiana adjusted her attitude, starting to listen attentively.
After saving the day, Luo Lin turned her gaze out the window. Since this morning, she had felt something was slightly off, as if someone was watching her, watching Kiana.
Who could it be?
Soon, due to the unique educational system of the Far East, the afternoon classes ended early.
Kiana ran off to the bike shed, ready to ride her beloved bicycle to work... and to get some exercise, of course. She couldn't let her Kaslana combat skills rust.
As for Luo Lin, she planned to stroll around on the streets at the same time trying to lure out whoever was tailing her, to see what exactly they were up to.
Little did she know, before she could bait out her tail, a group of thugs came running towards her.
"Hey! That's... damn, a girl from Shenzou. Get over here!" The one in front, looking like a typical street thug, shouted arrogantly, hands in his pockets. "Come here, I've got something to talk about with you."
Since Luo Lin was planning to fish, she naturally didn't walk in crowded places with a lot of people. So the appearance of these thugs only made the few onlookers hasten their steps and quickly leave the area.
The girl walked confidently towards the thugs.
Fu Hua, who had been following Luo Lin, couldn't help but feel sorry for the thugs. They might not know who they had provoked, but the outcome was entirely predictable...
"Hmph, quite sensible... Wowowowow!"
In less than ten seconds, Luo Lin had knocked down all of them effortlessly, flowing like water, crisscrossing smoothly and seamlessly, a result of her deliberately restraining her speed and strength.
However, Fu Hua, who was watching, widened her eyes in disbelief!
"Inch Fist - Rock Breaker?! And even Edge of Taixuan!?"
