Chapter 10: Rumors of the Lich
Having become accustomed to the filming process, Zat and Aya's performance this time was even better than when they were filming in the castle. With various funny expressions and contrasting cuteness, this scene quickly came to an end.
Their enthusiastic acting naturally caught the attention of the surrounding crowd. Faced with the eerie scene, most of the people on the street stepped back with expressions of avoidance. Some curious onlookers wanted to approach, but they were dispersed by Winry, who was prepared in advance.
As filming progressed, more and more curious people gathered around, forming a small crowd of spectators. Anticipating this, Durin had Winry divert them with an excuse about magical research, lest they attract the attention of the guards.
However, this scene also revealed how deprived the people of this world were of entertainment, as they were drawn to the unusual sight on the streets, craving some excitement in their otherwise mundane lives.
"It's quite lively here," Durin remarked.
Winry, unable to stop the curious onlookers, sighed, "Lord Edward, do you really plan to continue filming the entire plot under these circumstances? Honestly, I don't think I can handle this curious crowd on my own."
Smiling knowingly, Durin replied, "Of course. I already have a plan for filming under the curious gaze of the public. Just remind Zat and Aya that we're done filming for today. They're addicted to acting now, so we need to find a way to get them to stop."

Around two or three in the afternoon, after wrapping up filming, Durin led the group of adventurers who had never ventured this far to the Adventurers Guild. "Next, let's take a look at the Adventurers Guild here. Although we've canceled the first scene, we might still need it for future filming."
"The Adventurers Guild? It's my first time here, to be honest, Lord Durin. When I was young, I had dreams of becoming an adventurer, but my family refused because it was too dangerous," Zat remarked.
Surprised, Durin asked, "Dangerous? But I haven't heard any rumors about it being dangerous?"

There are fewer monsters compared to other regions, and even goblins are rare. So, the adventurer profession was once booming. However, due to a baseless rumor about a powerful lich appearing, most people in the Southern Region now avoid the adventurer profession like the plague."
"What rumor?" Durin inquired, his curiosity piqued at the mention of something new.
Winry didn't beat around the bush and answered, "It's a rumor about a lich. It's said that a terrifying lich appeared in our Southern Region, single-handedly defeating the knights sent by the church and the empire. Not only was its strength terrifying, but it also killed indiscriminately, causing a large number of adventurers to perish at its hands. Since then, most residents of the Southern Region are unwilling to let their children become adventurers. After all, sending one's children to become adventurers is akin to sending them to their deaths."
"A lich..."
Surprised to hear this term, Durin furrowed his brow. As a seasoned mage who had studied at the Mage Tower, he naturally knew what a lich was. These undead creatures, formed from living beings through special magic, possessed terrifying power. Even a great sage might not be a match for a powerful lich. Therefore, when rumors of a fearsome lich spread in the Southern Region, the number of aspiring adventurers naturally declined.
"Humph, just because of a lich? Those cowards who are afraid and dare not become adventurers are nothing but timid and useless trash!" Aya scoffed, interrupting Durin and Winry before they could respond.
Before Durin and Winry could reply, Zat delivered a solid blow to Aya's head and exclaimed loudly, "Do you think you're a goddess or something, Aya? Don't expect me to come back and rescue you when you get captured by the lich!"
"Ow, ow, ow! You damn Zat, you jerk!"
Seeing the two about to start arguing again, Durin didn't wait to intervene. Instead, in front of everyone appeared a place that looked completely out of place compared to the surrounding buildings.
"So fast? The Adventurers Guild?"
Seeing the place clearly labeled 'Adventurers Guild' in front of him, Durin thought for a moment before setting up the magic camera. He then turned to Zat and Aya beside him and said, "Get ready. Although it's just a transitional scene, you'll still need to register at the Adventurers Guild later. Don't worry, this time there won't be any acting pressure. I just want to capture the real moment of you becoming adventurers."

"Welcome."
A waitress holding two glasses smiled at the nervous Zat and the blue-haired goddess as they entered from outside. "If you want to eat, just find a seat anywhere. If you need information about jobs, go to the reception room inside."
During this process, Durin's magic camera had already captured various scenes inside the Adventurers Guild from different angles.
Scattered adventurers sat at the slightly deserted tables, with monster bones as decorations hanging on the side, giving the place a wild atmosphere. At the back, where the adventurer registration was, there was a very attractive receptionist sitting behind the counter.

For various reasons, this scene was briefly skipped over. Ultimately, the main reason was the subtle differences between the Adventurers Guild in this world and the one in 'KonoSuba: God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!'. Rather than wasting time resolving these issues, it was better to simply ignore them and focus on filming more enjoyable scenes.
Therefore, when Zat and Aya finished filling out the adventurer registration form at the Adventurers Guild, Durin and Winry were already seated at the tavern.
