Elle fed the porridge to Daphne as she opened her mouth wide enough to swallow the food. She did this continuously till the porridge got finished
"I want more"
"No …you've eaten three servings of this, maybe in the next two hours you'll have more"
"That's not fair!" she childishly pouted her small lips and rolled her eyes
"I want more". Elle mimicked , she packed the disposable plates and threw them into the trash can.she headed for the sink turned on the faucet and washed her hands
" …..this soap smells like vanilla…!" She exclaimed bringing her palms close to her nose
"Yeah, and a bit of disinfectant …. !" daphne pinned her nose with two of her fingers trying to block the smell and tried fanning herself with her other hand. Elle couldn't help but laugh
"Hahaha…you look so funny" she rinsed her hands and walked towards Daphne's things on the table and got a paper towel to dry her hand .
"This is a hospital, what other smell are you expecting to perceive?"she said and sat on the bed .Daphne looked admiringly at her friend and hugged her, Elle hugged her back .
" Thank you Elle…I really appreciate,I don't know what I would've done without you_" she said with teary eyes and released her grip
"It's okay ,I know you'll do same if I were to be in your shoes" elle replied softly as she took her hand
"That's what best friends are for , right?"
Daphne nodded affirmatively.
"I think you should cut ties with the Adams family now that it's still early…"
"Why do you say that?"Daphne's expression changed immediately.
"Haven't you suffered enough?. . . aren't you tired?. . .if you don't cut ties with them you might die sooner …who knows if they won't take it from you ?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"The both of us know that they've been taking organs from you without your permission,who knows, they might decide to take your life and they won't need permission for that."

"Family indeed! " Elle scuffed , readjusting her sitting position.
"That lady is venomous !"
"She's not Elle !. . . I don't think you know what you are talking about" .
"How else can I make you see the Truth?"
"The accident happened and she married your dad 2 weeks later…10 years later she made your dad a vegetable after poisoning him multiple times . . . . who does that?. . . Unless she caused the accident. . .you know?"
"I don't know !" Daphne replied totally cutting her off
"She killed your mum and made your dad vegetable _"
"She didn't!" Daphne screamed and crossed her arms .
" I know you won't believe me" Elle said and tried to grab and rub Daphne's hands , Daphne shrugged her hands off her's and sighed .
"She was just a mere maid who had an affair with the master . . . and . . . and. . . she killed your mom because she knew your mum was going to get shares and she would get none when your dad died . . . Right now your dad is a living dead , she did that too . Do you think she would spare you?...if you don't sever ties with them you'd end up dead too!"

The door swung open and Georgia walked in aggressively
"You fool!!" she screamed at the top of her lungs
"Speaking of the devil" Elle whispered

The nurses that had walked in couldn't help their giggles but composed themselves when Georgia gave them a dark stare.
Georgia stood up and charged towards Elle this time, Elle didn't flinch rather she folded her arms and watched as she approached

"Your . . . third . . . cousin!" Georgia couldn't believe it , if Elle's third cousin knew she hit her, her whole life and existence would be ruined , she stood transfixed at the spot.
"Yeah my third. . . cousin." Elle said and picked up her phone , pretending to make a call
"I'm leaving already _" Georgia said and walked out of the hospital ward reluctantly without turning back.
Elle signaled to the nurses who stood as if they were glued and were glaring at her to come and do what they came for.
The nurses changed the finished drip , put in a new one and left.
"You have a third cousin?"Daphne asked in amazement
"Yeah…you didn't know?"
"You've never mentioned him . . . Who is he? And why did Georgia leave in fear?"

"Why?_" Daphne asked with curiosity written all over her face

"A god!" Elle exclaimed holding her cheeks like she was terrified and sat on the chair next to the bed , a chill ran down her spine and Goosebumps started appearing
" Can we stop talking about him, I've got goosebumps all-over,."she said, wiping her arms that were full of goosebumps.
"Me too…''Daphne replied, hugging herself.
"I need to call my mum, you are coming home with me and you'll not return to that dungeon ever again."
"Are you serious?…. Thanks Elle".
"You can go to the company from there, right?"
"Sure, why not?"
Elle nodded and dialed a number on her phone.
"She said you can stay as long as you want"elle said excitedly, daphne smiled happily and grabbed her to hugged her but stopped midway
"There's a little problem" Daphne said
"My clothes are not with_"
"That's not a problem, you can wear mine or we'll get you new ones on our way home."
"Oh thank you very much Elle….I love you so much ."

"Unless you are going to see him and I'll always go with you …."
