"I told you, you won't be able to stop me."
Neji said to the three of them, then flashed again, standing next to Sasuke.
"Sasuke, let's go."
"Fine, if we keep dragging this out, more troublesome people might come." Sasuke stood up, turned, and jumped off the cliff.
"Stop!" Kiba desperately rushed forward.
"Goodbye." Neji turned, glanced back, and then jumped off as well.
"Damn it!"
Kiba looked down, seeing Sasuke and Neji had already disappeared into the dense forest, once again losing their trail.
"Woof! Woof! Woof!"
Akamaru barked a few times, then pounced, and Kiba jumped onto his back.
"Akamaru, follow them!"
Kiba pointed forward, and Akamaru crouched slightly before leaping down the cliff.
"After them!" Shikamaru and Choji hurriedly followed as well.
In the forest, Sasuke once again took out a suppression talisman and placed it on both himself and Neji.
"Quick, we need to move!" Neji quickened his pace. "More people are coming!"
"Who?" Sasuke asked.
"Guy-sensei, Kakashi, Lee, Tenten, Naruto, Sakura, and Shino," Neji's voice was slightly rushed, "And also the head of the Hyuga clan."
"Tsk, this is getting serious," Sasuke frowned. "All the troublesome people have arrived."
Neji suddenly smiled excitedly.
"The fact that the Hyuga clan head, my uncle, is here proves that your uncle wasn't lying. He can no longer control me with the Caged Bird Seal!"
Sasuke reminded him, "If you've spotted them, it means the head of the Hyuga clan has seen us too."
But Neji didn't panic. Instead, he said, "If you dare to act, you must have considered the consequences. I don't believe you don't have a way to get us out of this."
"Ah, but don't forget one other possibility," Sasuke's tone was not as relaxed, "The Fourth Hokage. If he suddenly intervenes, I might not be able to take you away."
"Don't try to scare me," Neji said calmly. "The Fourth Hokage's resurrection is definitely connected to your uncle!"
"I'm just preparing for the worst," Sasuke suddenly stopped walking. "Let's stop here. Continuing like this will only waste chakra without achieving anything."
"True." Neji turned and jumped onto the tree where Sasuke stood. "Let me say goodbye to Guy-sensei and the others."
"To my knowledge, your teacher is quite a dangerous person," Sasuke frowned slightly. "If he really tries to stop us, we'll be in trouble."
"That's up to you," Neji said. "I don't have any way to deal with Guy-sensei."
"Tsk, always giving me the hard tasks," Sasuke grumbled, rubbing his lower eyelid. "If I have to seriously injure him, you won't agree, right?"
Neji nodded. "Yes, even though I chose freedom, I can't stand to see them seriously hurt."
"Fine, I respect your opinion," Sasuke muttered.
"Hmph, would you hurt Kakashi, Naruto, or Sakura?" Neji shot back.
Sasuke stayed silent.
If he hadn't met his uncle back then, maybe he really would have. But after gaining more, he no longer pursued his goals ruthlessly.
"They're here," Neji warned.
"Sasuke!!! Neji!!!"
Before the people arrived, Naruto's angry shout echoed through the sky.
"Tsk," Sasuke frowned in irritation. "That guy's so loud!"
In the next moment, all the Konoha pursuers appeared in Sasuke's line of sight.
"Sasuke!!! Neji!!!"
Naruto appeared on a large tree opposite Sasuke, glaring angrily at the two.
"Why?! Why are you doing this?!"
"Naruto, quiet down," Kakashi appeared behind him, pressing down on his shoulder.
"Neji!"
"Neji, you bastard!"
Guy and Lee stood on the ground, staring at Neji in confusion.
Tenten leaned against a tree, panting, her eyes already red.
"Guy-sensei, Lee, Tenten," Neji's gaze swept across them and finally landed on the middle-aged man with long hair standing in the center, "Uncle."
"Neji!" Hyuga Hiashi looked sternly at the boy in the tree. "Do you truly know what you're doing?!"
"Of course I know, Uncle," Neji met his gaze fearlessly.
"Ridiculous! Betraying the village without cause. You're going to drag the Hyuga clan's reputation through the mud!" Hiashi scolded harshly.
"Hahaha…" Neji suddenly found it amusing, so he laughed out loud. "Reputation?"
He pointed at his forehead, his voice filled with hatred: "What a grand reputation. A reputation built by harming family members, it would be better off destroyed!"
"You!!!" Hiashi's face turned ashen. "The Hyuga clan has always operated this way. It's a safeguard our ancestors set up for the clan's continuation!"
"Hmph! Easy for you to say since it's not carved on your forehead!" Neji remained unmoved. "You're just scared because you can no longer control me through the curse mark!"
"Stop this nonsense, Neji." Hiashi's tone suddenly calmed. "You won't be able to leave here today."
"Heh, if I can't leave, you'll kill me, won't you?" Neji stared coldly at Hiashi. "Once the other branch members learn that the Caged Bird Seal can be blocked, the Hyuga clan might fall apart instantly."
"You're talking nonsense, Neji!"
Before Hiashi could react, Might Guy stepped forward.
"Come back with me, Neji. I swear on my title as Hot-Blooded Teacher Might Guy, I won't let anything happen to you!"
'You don't have such a title!!!' Everyone present thought that at the same time.
Except Lee.
"Neji! Guy-sensei is right! Come back with us now!" Lee shouted.
"Neji, you jerk!" Tenten suddenly burst into tears, sobbing as tears streamed down her face. "Is this some sort of rebellious phase?!"
"Guy-sensei, Lee, Tenten, stop saying such foolish things," Neji clenched his fist tightly, though his expression remained calm. "At this point, there's no going back for me."
"Neji, my dear student," Guy's expression suddenly turned serious, "Even if I have to break your arms and legs, I'll take you back!"
"And you! Sasuke!!!" On the other side, Naruto pointed at Sasuke. "You jerk! Look what you've done!!!"
"You're so noisy, Naruto," Sasuke covered one ear with his hand. "This was Neji's choice, I didn't force him."
"You clearly seduced him!" Naruto yelled, unrelenting.
"It's 'enticed'!" Kakashi, a literature lover, quickly corrected Naruto's word choice.
Sasuke covered his face, the blood-red of his Sharingan gleaming coldly through his fingers as he glared at Naruto.
His voice turned dark. "Naruto, you idiot. Say one more word, and I'll cut you down."
"I-I just used the wrong word…" Naruto, startled, muttered a few words, and quickly shut his mouth under Sasuke's murderous gaze.
"What are you doing?" Neji asked, exasperated.
"Nothing."
Sasuke took a deep breath, then calmly lowered his hand, his expression returning to its usual calm.
"Do you have a way to escape? If Guy-sensei makes a move, it'll be too late."
Neji asked in a hushed voice, doubting several times whether he had boarded a sinking ship.
"Don't worry."
The patterns in Sasuke's eyes grew more intricate as he weaved signs with his hands.
"Susanoo."
Sasuke grabbed Neji's arm, and the two of them landed on the ground together. At the same time, a massive purple half-skeleton appeared from thin air, enveloping them both.
