"Obito, why?!" Kakashi pulled out a kunai, staring intently at Obito.
"There's no why, you useless fool!" Obito's voice became deep and low. He ignored Kakashi and turned to look at Naruto. "Consider yourself lucky this time. Next time we meet, it will be your death, Naruto."
As he spoke, his body began to fade into the air.
"You bastard! Don't think you can escape!" Naruto's eyes turned red as he roared, "I will avenge my parents!"
'Swish!'
Several red chains shot out from behind Naruto, rapidly attacking Obito.
'He's awakened!' Kakashi thought, astonished as he watched Naruto.
Unfortunately, the chains only passed through the air, and Obito's figure completely disappeared.
"Damn it! Damn it!!" Naruto knelt on the ground, pounding it fiercely as red chakra surged around him.
"Naruto! Calm down!"
Kakashi flashed to Naruto's side and placed a talisman on his forehead.
"So, this is the Nine-Tails?"
Sasuke silently appeared next to Kakashi, his eyes with strange patterns staring at Naruto.
"Sasuke, your eyes!" Kakashi stepped in front of Naruto protectively.
"Sasuke?"
Naruto, now clear-headed, raised his head.
Sasuke closed his eyes briefly, his eyes returning to black as he looked at the still-wary Kakashi.
"Don't worry, Kakashi. I won't do anything to this idiot."
"Heh..." Kakashi laughed awkwardly.
"But it's not wrong to be on guard against me," Sasuke added with a smile, "After all, I'm no longer a ninja of Konoha."
"What are you talking about, Sasuke!" Naruto shouted, standing up excitedly. "Sakura, Kakashi-sensei, and I have all been waiting for you to come back!"
Sasuke looked seriously into Naruto's eyes and said, "Don't be foolish, Naruto. You know it's impossible."
"But, but..." Naruto clenched his fists tightly. "Damn it! What is this?!"
"Sasuke-kun, can't you really come back?!" Sakura walked over, holding back her tears.
"Sorry, ever since that time, I've only been Uchiha Sasuke of the Uchiha clan."
Sasuke emphasized again and then said, "Well, I have things to do, so I'll be going now."
"Stop right there!"
Chains shot out from Naruto's back, suddenly binding Sasuke.
"You idiot, what do you think you're doing?"
Sasuke looked down at the chains around him, displeased as he turned his gaze to Naruto.
"I'm taking you back!" Naruto insisted stubbornly.
"Heh, I figured as much," Sasuke chuckled, "But even if you bring me back to Konoha, what then? Aside from you three, no one else will accept me."
"I'll ask Granny Tsunade for help!"
Naruto stared at Sasuke with burning eyes and said loudly, "And those classmates from our year, too. They all got seriously hurt trying to save you from the Sound Ninja back then, don't forget that, you jerk!"
"I... I'll ask Master Tsunade too," Sakura quickly chimed in.
"You're too naive," Sasuke shook his head. "Even if she's the Hokage, there are some things that can't be decided by her alone. As for those classmates, I'm sorry. Please pass along my apology, Naruto."
"Goodbye."
'Poof!'
A puff of white smoke appeared, and Sasuke vanished in front of them.
"Damn it, it was a shadow clone!"
"Sasuke-kun!"
"Let him go," Kakashi sighed, patting Naruto and Sakura on the shoulders.
"Why..." Naruto lowered his head, "Kakashi-sensei, you didn't try to persuade Sasuke earlier, even though you encouraged me to bring him back."
"Naruto, you need to grow up," Kakashi said helplessly. "Too much has happened, and some things aren't as simple as you think."
"Damn it! Why! Why am I still so useless!" Naruto finally cried, "Even though I've gained the same power as my mom, Sasuke still slipped away right in front of me! Just like before, I couldn't even save Gaara!"
"Naruto, even if Sasuke isn't in Konoha anymore, you can still be friends," Kakashi turned and walked toward the cave's exit. "Let's go check on Gaara."

At the outskirts of Amegakure.
Obito's figure appeared from the void as a space-time vortex swirled, and Deidara dropped from mid-air.
"Damn it!" Deidara quickly adjusted his posture as he landed, glaring at "Obito." "Where's Sasori?"
"Are you sure you want Sasori to hear our conversation, Deidara-senpai?"
"Don't act all high and mighty in front of me, Tobi!" Deidara straightened his disheveled robe. "I just made a deal with you, that's all, hmph."
"Hehe, indeed," "Obito" said with a playful tone, "While Sasori-senpai was busy intercepting the Suna shinobi, Deidara-senpai made a little deal with Tobi in secret. That's our little secret!"
"You bastard, what are you trying to say?" Deidara glared at "Obito." "Hurry up and release Sasori, or he'll get suspicious."
"Nothing much, just letting Deidara-senpai know that Tobi will come looking for you for another deal in the future."
"Hmph, I've already got what I wanted," Deidara touched the special device covering his left eye. "Don't bother me again!"
"Hehe, who knows what the future holds."
"Obito" released Sasori, and he disappeared instantly.
"What are you two up to!" Sasori missed grabbing "Obito" and could only glare at Deidara. "How dare you keep me waiting this long! You know I hate waiting the most!"
Unfortunately, without Hiruko, the once-intimidating Sasori in his youthful appearance seemed to have lost his threatening aura.
"How would I know," Deidara replied in an annoyed tone, "Tobi, that idiot, always does weird things!"
Sasori stared intently at Deidara for a few seconds before looking away.
"It better be that way!" He turned and led the way into Amegakure.

In a dense forest in the Land of Rivers, Sasuke sat on a tree branch, catching a crow that flew down from above.
"Caw! Lord Sasuke!" Jin landed on Sasuke's hand, folding its wings. "That old lady from Suna revived Gaara!"
"Revived? How did she do that?" Sasuke's interest was piqued.
"No idea, caw. But after Gaara was revived, she herself died!" Jin continued.
"So that's how it is." Sasuke lost interest instantly.
"Caw caw, Lord Sasuke, what are your orders now?"
"Jin, I need you to gather information on Uchiha Itachi," Sasuke said as he raised his hand, releasing the crow. "He also keeps some crows by his side, so make sure your crows are careful."
"I understand, caw, no need to worry."
With a puff of smoke, Jin disappeared from Sasuke's hand.
Sasuke's face displayed the markings of Sage Mode as he took out a small paper doll from his ninja pouch, infusing it with some natural energy.
The paper doll twitched, freeing itself from Sasuke's fingers, and began moving in his palm, its scribbled face coming to life.
"Do you need something, Sasuke?"
As the mouth drawn on the paper doll opened and closed, Kaito's voice could be heard.
