"Lord Mo."
Kaito bowed slightly to the giant tree.
"Kaito, you've arrived."
The old man's figure emerged from the giant tree.
"Yes," Kaito smiled, "I'm here to collect the divine tree branch you brought back, Lord Mo."
"I understand." Mo nodded and waved his hand.
A branch of the divine tree, covered with talismans, emerged from the trunk of Mo's native giant tree, neatly stacking into a pile.
Kaito looked up at the massive pile of wood, feeling a bit troubled. These seemed to take up too much space.
"Thanks to you, I carefully examined the structure of the Divine Tree."
Mo's aged voice drew Kaito's attention.
"Did you discover something, Lord Mo?" Kaito asked curiously.
Mo nodded. "The Divine Tree fundamentally differs from the creatures on this planet. It is neither an animal nor a plant and may even be an artificial life form."
Kaito's expression turned serious at these words.
"If such a creature was created by the Ōtsutsuki clan, we can't overestimate the mysterious Ōtsutsuki clan enough."
"The legendary gods are probably nothing more." Mo's tone was heavy, and the lines on his face seemed to deepen.
He looked up, seemingly gazing through the overlapping leaves toward the sky.
"Just Kaguya Ōtsutsuki and her partner have influenced us for a thousand years. If we face her clan, this planet is still too fragile."
Kaito was silent for a moment, then smiled.
"It's just about doing our best and leaving the rest to fate," he said with a carefree tone. "No matter what, we must keep struggling."
He touched the divine tree branch and continued, "Let's deal with Kaguya first, then see if the Ōtsutsuki clan will send others."
"That's all we can do." Mo also looked at the branches. "I'll continue to research and see if we can find a weakness in this creature."
He reminisced, "Actually, when Kaguya and her partner first descended, they weren't as terrifying as they later became. It wasn't until Kaguya consumed the fruit that she gained the power to break the Underworld."
This was all orchestrated by Seimei.
Kaito's expression was complex.
But he also understood that Seimei's choice was actually the right one.
He used the power of Ryūmyaku's sacrifice to lure Kaguya into consuming the fruit alone, severing her ties with the Ōtsutsuki clan.
And behind the Hagoromo brothers' sealing of their mother, it's hard to say if this lord had a hand in it.
He sacrificed countless people but also bought the planet a thousand years of respite.
"I'll study this carefully too," Kaito said. "The Ōtsutsuki clan extracts the planet's energy for their use through the divine tree. Judging by their actions, this creature is definitely not the only one."
"I'm glad you understand." Mo said, "In the face of the potential threat from the Ōtsutsuki clan, relying on just us won't work. All the forces on the planet must come together."
"That's why I so easily let those ninjas who offended me go."
Kaito said somewhat helplessly.
"The traditions inherited by ninjas over many years are not easily changed. They are used to serving their own masters. Even if I tell them the true history, most will express doubt."
"So, I planned a grand stage." His expression was somewhat cold. "To put Kaguya Ōtsutsuki in front of everyone."
"If the plan goes well, with the final act of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, the true history can finally be faced by all." He continued, "After all, I don't want to be a forgotten hero."
Mo suddenly laughed. He said, "Kaito, you are a genius rarely seen in a thousand years. We will always support you, even if you want to become the Emperor."
"Emperor?" Kaito shook his head.
He didn't want to be an emperor. Ruling the world, worrying about this and that, what's the fun in that? Is it better than the current him?
...
"I will rebuild the Underworld and take the position of Lord of the Underworld through the legacy of King Enma."
In the secret room of the Uchiha residence on Ōeyama, Kaito said firmly.
"The deceased Uchiha will become prison guards, and the living Uchiha will become clergy, completely surpassing ninjas."
Izuna clearly knew about Kaito's plan long ago. He only smiled at his words.
"The clergy do not participate in politics; their status is above all. By then, even the nobles must be respectful."
Chiri continued to smile gently, encouragingly saying, "I believe in you, Kaito."
"Thank you, Chiri-senpai," Kaito said. "Rebuilding the Underworld will rely heavily on your unique Mangekyō Sharingan."
"I will do my best," Chiri nodded.
At this moment, Sasuke, who had been brought into the secret room to listen in, was wide-eyed, stunned by what he heard. He looked at Kaito in amazement.
As expected, his ambitions couldn't match his uncle's!
Are ambition and strength proportional?
Then I should set an even more dazzling goal.
Sasuke's eyes sparkled as he fell into deep thought.
Kaito laughed, "Finally, I hope that when Sasuke grows up and gets married, he can have many children."
Huh?
Sasuke snapped out of his thoughts, hearing his name.
Married? Children?
What's that?
Those girls are so annoying!
Isn't training fun? Isn't fighting exciting?
"I don't want to!" He blushed, loudly refusing.
Kaito looked at him with a smile, "Sasuke, don't you want to restore the glory of the Uchiha clan?"
"I...," Sasuke said, embarrassed, "What does that have to do with getting married?"
"Only if you have many children can the Uchiha clan flourish." Izuna patted his head.
Chiri smiled and nodded.
"Why not have Uncle have kids! After all... isn't he already with that women Yūrei!" Sasuke pointed angrily at Kaito.
"I can't." Kaito sighed dramatically, "It's hard for humans and Yokai to produce offspring."
"Hmph!" Sasuke continued to shift the responsibility, "Then you should marry more women!"
Kaito swiftly opened his fan to cover half his face.
"No way, I'm just that kind of loyal man."
He swiftly closed the fan, then placed both hands on Sasuke's shoulders.
"But since Sasuke suggested it, you shouldn't mind marrying a few more girls in the future."
He looked at Sasuke with hopeful eyes.
"Sasuke, I'll leave the great mission of reviving the Uchiha clan to you!"
"Hmph!"
Sasuke, embarrassed and angry, shrugged off Kaito's hands and turned his head away from the three adults.
After a few seconds, he suddenly turned back with a surprised expression and said, "Isn't there still Itachi? Let him have kids instead!"
