Black Zetsu was mentally prepared for Nagato's enhanced strength.
After all, when Nagato was on the brink of death, Obito used White Zetsu's body tissue to repair Nagato's broken body.
Nagato endured the rejection reaction through the Rinnegan, so his physical fitness must have improved significantly.
However, he was certain that Obito hadn't been fully dedicated to helping Nagato, and the amount of White Zetsu's body tissue Nagato received wasn't much.
Logically, it shouldn't have reached this level.
Could something have happened that he was unaware of?
Black Zetsu's eyes darkened again.
He knew very well that both Obito and Nagato were becoming increasingly difficult to control.
However, as a seasoned conspirator who had been plotting for thousands of years to resurrect his mother, Black Zetsu didn't find this situation too troublesome.
Whether it was Nagato or Obito.
As long as their obsessions remained, they would inevitably walk the path Black Zetsu had arranged for them, becoming his pawns without realizing it.
But everything started to change after that person appeared out of nowhere!
Black Zetsu felt a burning hatred toward Uchiha Kaito.
Just wait!
Once Mother successfully reappears in the world, Kaito and those Yokai remnants will all be wiped out!
All the power and strength in this world will belong to Mother!
Konan, standing next to Pain, began assigning tasks.
According to Akatsuki's plan, the current task was to act as mercenaries in wars, earning enough money for the organization.
Unfortunately, Kakuzu, the money-grabbing expert, had already died.
Konan thought with some regret.
The rest of the members weren't particularly motivated by money.
Especially Sasori, who even needed the organization to subsidize him!
No wonder he came from Sunagakure.
As she assigned tasks to everyone, she also observed their reactions.
That guy, Obito!
It's amazing how he can shamelessly act so ungracefully!
So shameless! And he dares to call himself Uchiha Madara!
Why hasn't Uchiha Madara been angered back to life by this despicable person?
Her gaze remained locked on the theatrically performing Obito, wanting to see who in Akatsuki would be swayed by him.
'I hope Nagato can become stronger soon so that we won't be so constrained by others.'
After finishing the task distribution, Konan nodded to Pain with a calm expression and took a step back.
"While carrying out the tasks, try to gather information about the Jinchuriki," Pain finally spoke, "Once we complete the current objectives, we'll begin capturing the Tailed Beasts and start the final war."
Deidara raised his head proudly again: "Let's start sooner! These tasks are too boring now, yeah!"
"Deidara-senpai~" Tobi covered his mouth with his hand, lowering his voice, though still loud enough for everyone to hear, "The Tailed Beasts are terrifying, so maybe we should do some easier tasks first?"
"Don't compare me to trash like you!" Deidara glared at him.
"Eh? I was just being considerate." Tobi looked aggrieved.
"Idiot! You'd better worry about yourself! Yeah!" Deidara shouted angrily.
"Is Deidara-senpai concerned about me? How nice!" Tobi started squirming again.
"Shut up!!" Deidara's face turned pale.
"Deidara-senpai is so heartless~"
"Enough!" Sasori's tail shot out again, piercing through Tobi's chest.
"Scorpion-san?" Deidara blinked, "Did you take care of that annoying guy?"
"Hmph!" Sasori snorted coldly, retracting his tail.
"So lucky! Not a scratch!" Tobi was still bouncing around, with his clothes completely intact.
"What's going on?" Deidara was a little surprised.
"His body dematerialized," Sasori's voice had a hint of excitement, "It's a space-time ninjutsu!"
"How rare!" His tail swayed restlessly, "Make sure you don't die where I can't find you, Tobi."
"Wow! Sasori-senpai cares about me too?" Tobi approached him again.
"That's right," Sasori confirmed.
"Sniff sniff... I'm so touched." Tobi started wiping his "tears."
Deidara looked at Sasori in disbelief: "Sasori-san!"
"Don't misunderstand," Sasori spoke again, "I'm just worried about your body..."
"Sniff sniff... Sasori-senpai really cares about me!" Tobi wept like a storm.
Deidara's eyes widened.
"If you die where I can't find you," Sasori's tail pierced through Tobi's body again, "Wouldn't it waste a good piece of material!"
Tobi was stunned, his entire body turning colorless: "How could this happen..."
"Hahahahahahaha..." Deidara laughed happily again.
"Deidara too," Sasori's merciless voice continued, "Idiots like you usually die early, so your bodies are already reserved by me."
"Hahaha... *cough cough*..."
Deidara quickly patted his chest, glaring at Sasori in anger.
"You bastard! Don't insult my art with your puppetry!"
"Hahahahaha..." Obito laughed happily too, "Deidara-senpai, you're so pitiful."
"You!!"
"Hmph, what's wrong with becoming eternal with my art?" Sasori said righteously.
"I want to duel you!!" Deidara began reaching for the clay.
The others watched silently, interested in the commotion.
"Enough!" Pain's oppressive gaze swept over them again, "Start your tasks as soon as possible!"
After speaking, he and Konan disappeared into the shadows of the building.
"Hey! Are you guys going to fight or not?" Kisame asked Deidara and Sasori, "If not, we're leaving."
"Hmph!" Sasori ignored him and walked straight towards the exit.
"Damn it! Don't think you can watch a good show!" Deidara glared at Kisame and followed Sasori.
"How boring." Kisame said helplessly, "Let's go too, Itachi-san."
Itachi nodded, and the two quickly left the hall.
Zetsu had already vanished without a sound.
The hall was left with only Tobi and Terai.
"I've seen you before." Terai looked at Tobi with a complex expression.
"Eh? When? Did you admire me from the start?" Tobi danced with joy.
Terai spoke in a slightly uncomfortable tone: "You've met with Danzo-sama, haven't you?"
Tobi quieted down, and the Sharingan under his mask emitted a sharp gaze.
"I see," his voice deepened, "You're one of Danzo's trusted men. No wonder you have no place in Konoha anymore."
Terai's expression darkened, filled with deep hatred: "Danzo-sama worked tirelessly for Konoha, but the Fifth Hokage, because of Kaito, allowed those ignorant people to slander Danzo-sama!"
Obito sneered: "So, you want revenge on Konoha?"
"I've lost my faith," Terai said coldly, "It doesn't matter anymore; I just want to clear Danzo-sama's name."
