"Where is this?" Naruto looked around and immediately cheered, "In a flash, we're back in Konoha! Dad, you're amazing!"
"Let's go, time to get some Ichiraku Ramen!" Minato stepped onto the familiar yet slightly changed street.
"Ramen, ramen!" Naruto charged ahead towards their destination.
"Naruto? Why are you back?" Kakashi looked surprised as Naruto came running by.
"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto called out excitedly.
Just then, Kakashi spotted the figure behind Naruto, and his shock intensified.
"Teach... Teacher?"
"It's Kakashi. You've grown up." Minato walked over, patting Kakashi's stiff shoulder.
"I'm taking Naruto to get some ramen. Come join us."
Minato patted Kakashi's shoulder again and followed Naruto.
"Yes." It took a few seconds for Kakashi to gather himself and turn to watch Minato walk away.
The Hokage robe with flame patterns had "Fourth Hokage" clearly written on it.
He was stunned for a moment, then mechanically started following them.
It was the time when most of the Konoha ninjas were heading home for dinner. Minato Namikaze, with a smile, walked through Konoha's streets. People who recognized him were all stunned.
"How... How is this possible..."
"Lord Hokage!"
"Lord Fourth!"
"Lord Minato!"
Shiranui Genma, who had once been part of the Fourth Hokage's guard, was so shocked he stumbled off a rooftop.
He quickly regained his balance mid-air and landed in front of Minato, looking at him excitedly.
"Fourth Hokage-sama?"
"It's Genma. Come, join us for some ramen." Minato naturally patted his shoulder and walked ahead.
"Hey! What's going on, Kakashi?" Genma signaled to Kakashi, who was a few steps behind.
"Ah, I don't know either." Kakashi looked equally bewildered.
"This is huge!" Genma said, troubled. "I'll go notify the Fifth Hokage. You stick with the Fourth."
"Huh?" Kakashi still seemed out of it. "Oh, alright."
"Keep your spirits up." Genma lightly punched Kakashi's shoulder. "We don't know the situation yet, but let's hope it's not something bad."
"Alright, I'm off."
He then used the Body Flicker Technique and disappeared.
"Ah."
Kakashi finally calmed down and caught up to Minato.
As Minato and Naruto enjoyed their ramen at Ichiraku, the news of the supposed resurrection of the Fourth Hokage had already spread among most of Konoha's ninjas.
Inside Ichiraku Ramen, Naruto was the only one happily slurping his noodles.
Being dead, Minato couldn't eat, and Kakashi had no appetite.
"Minato-sensei, what's going on?"
"Don't worry, Kakashi," Minato reassured with a smile. "I am indeed dead."
Kakashi's eyes widened. "Then?"
"It's like this." Minato whispered, "I made a deal with Kaito."
He quietly explained the details of the deal and looked at Naruto, who was eating heartily.
"I agreed to the deal because I wanted to see Naruto grow up."
"Kaito again." Kakashi sighed, relaxing a bit. "That guy has his own unresolved issues."
He then quietly told Minato about Kaito's recent actions.
"I see. Kaito has been up to some big things." Minato nodded. "So, Kakashi, you've had your chakra sealed? Why didn't you go to Kusagakure?"
"I figured he wouldn't show up, so I didn't bother going."
"Kaito doesn't seem like the type to attend such meetings." Minato agreed.
Kakashi suddenly laughed, relaxing. "It's a good chance to rest, even without chakra."
He pulled out a copy of "Make-Out Paradise" from his tool pouch.
"With Minato-sensei back, maybe it's time to retire."
Minato looked at the lazy young man in front of him, speechless for a moment.
What happened?!
Time is cruel!
How did my once promising student turn into this slacker!
"Make-Out Paradise"!
This is all Jiraiya-sensei's fault!
I'll definitely keep an eye on Naruto from now on!
"Dad! I'm done!!"
Naruto put down his chopsticks, pulled out his frog wallet, and placed money on the counter before hopping off his stool.
Minato quickly stood up.
"Alright, let's go see where you live."
"Sure!" Naruto nodded excitedly, grabbing Minato's hand and pulling him outside. "Kakashi-sensei eats too slowly. Let's go, Dad!"
Minato let Naruto pull him a few steps, then turned back.
"Alright, we're off, Kakashi. Oh, please inform Lady Tsunade that I'm back just for Naruto and won't be involved in village affairs."
"Got it." Kakashi nodded. "Minato-sensei, take that dirty kid for a bath."
"Hmph! Goodbye, Kakashi-sensei!"
Naruto said goodbye with a smug look, pulling Minato out of the shop.
Kakashi watched and suddenly laughed.
Naruto, having a parent around, was livelier.
As Kakashi finished his ramen and prepared to leave, Tsunade walked in alone.
"Kakashi, why are you alone?"
"Lady Tsunade, Minato-sensei went to Naruto's apartment." Kakashi stood up.
"Is that so? Do you know what's going on?"
Tsunade sat down and loudly called, "Teuchi, one chashu ramen!"
"Got it, one chashu ramen!"
Kakashi sat back down and quietly explained Minato's situation.
"This is good for Naruto."
Tsunade's expression was complex, remembering her deceased brother and lover.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade, don't worry. Minato-sensei's condition won't harm Konoha." Kakashi stood up again. "I'll take my leave now."
"Go ahead." Tsunade waved him off.
"Your chashu ramen, Lady Hokage." Teuchi served the ramen.
Tsunade broke her chopsticks and started eating, but her mind was uneasy.
With Kaito's increasing actions, his impact on the ninja world was growing. Who knew what monumental thing he would do next?
And now, with Minato's sudden return, Konoha wouldn't be peaceful either.
These were matters she had to consider as Hokage.
She felt Kaito had unknown motives.
Good or bad, it would ultimately affect the entire ninja world.
