The Lost City of Altheim seems to be a dream city where any human would love to stay. A place where Elves and Dragons stayed could never take in human society. The discrimination between humans and other races was bad. Rio felt interested but he kept his curiosity hidden due to Daniel staring at his reaction each time Rio picked up a book and read the summary.
Rio then put the book to one side from the rest and read the last book that was on the table, however, this book had a brown bland cover on each side with no writing. Rio looked through the pages and saw no writing either. Rio looked at Daniel and he looked equally confused.
"I don't remember this book when I packed. It must be one of the books my father gave to me when I was leaving my mansion" he said trying to find out the origin of the book. "Anyway it seems useless anyway, there's nothing written in it. You put the lost city of Altheim to a different side from the rest. Did it catch your attention".
"Yes, it seems quite interesting, A city where mages dream of living and learning the roots and language of the city could make a mage's growth skyrocket". Rio said calmly as if he didn't care whether he gave him the book or not.
"That's good, I'll give you this book as a token of the start of a new friendship," he said happily. "Since I will take this book, I might as well take the useless book as well, since you do not need for it". Rio said realizing this book could be a treasure. We talked for a couple of minutes before taking my leave.
Rio then commanded the system to analyze the book.
[Ding!]
[History of Altheim City, Hidden Content due to Secret Rune]
'I heard of the secret rune, but don't have much knowledge on it, the basic use is to, as its name says' make something secret. I think the contract that we signed, works on the same rune. The level of the person who set this rune shouldn't be low either since nobody has been able to see through it' Rio thought. It seems to keep Daniel as an ally could reap rewards, for him to possess something like this would mean his backing is really not small.
'I wonder if this would work' Rio thought before attempting to absorb the book.
[Ding! Absorbing History of Altheim City...Failed]
[Re-attempting to absorb... Failed]
[Unable to absorb History of Altheim City due to interference]
The interference should be the secret rune. Mastering artificing should help me break the rune of the book. Since it was like 4 in the afternoon, Rio went back to his room and absorbed the knowledge of the Alchemy book. After the dizziness vanished, Rio closed his eyes, making sure he got everything down from the book.
Rio also went through the knowledge he received from the library as there was so much to go through in a single night. He found out the skill levels of spells and martial arts books.

· Human Level - Silver (Level 2)
· Human Level- Gold (Level 3)

· Heaven Level - Silver (Level 12)
· Heaven Level - Gold (Level 13)
· Heaven Level - Platinum (Level 14)
· Heaven Level - Diamond (Level 15)
Rio also found out that there are four sets of spirit stones:
· Low-grade Spirit Stones
· Medium Grade Spirit Stones
· High-Grade Spirit Stone
· Superior Grade Spirit Stones
All of them have a 1:1000 Conversion between them, so if had a hundred Low-grade spirit stones Rio could convert them to 1 Medium Grade Spirit stone and vice versa.
Whilst looking through the Spirit Stone section, Rio came across the phrase 'Vagabond'. It seems to be traveling Cultivators that are not in a sect, Academy, or school. These types of people seem to be looked down upon since they rely on plundering and stealing to sustain themselves and see if anything could progress their cultivation.
Rio then went through the Alchemic knowledge he had and found the easiest elixir to make since he had to take it one step at a time while doing something as complex and refining with no experience. The elixir was called the fiery flower potion which increases the male vitality for a prolonged period of time; however, Rio wasn't going to refine it since it had no use even If he created it. Rio found something that was relatively easy to refine. It was a Blood-clotting potion in which blood from leaking from your body. For example, if you were to lose a limb, while your blood would be gushing around the area, taking a blood-clotting potion would minimize bleeding.
If Rio could refine this potion, he could probably make a profit from this, now to get the materials. Rio has 25 spirit stones from what his father left in the ring. Since he'd probably make mistakes and would need as many batches as possible. The first ingredient was the Bacopa stem, Cerdeman petals, and the gingok's root. With the amount of spirit stone, with what Rio he could probably buy around 4 batches at the Academy's store.
Rio went to buy the needed ingredients and went to find an alchemy lab he could use. Rio then found one free and went into it, locked the door, and began to lay out the materials.
First, we squeezed out as much juice from the gingok's root into the flask, however, since they grew around lush areas the roots were always filled with bountiful juices. Heat it slightly with the Bunsen burner, under low heat it will gradually change color from clear to slightly foggy, when that changes happen, ground the cerdeman petals and put them into the flask, while heating the flask the petals will slowly dissolve and change the color from foggy to pure white, once the process is done, we also ground the Becopa stem, but you need to put the exact amount required, if even a bit too much the flask could explode and if even a bit too little it would end up a failed product.
Rio made sure to prepare everything and measure the amounts needed at least 5 times before starting the experiment. When he put the crushed stem into the flask, it started reacting and bubbling. here comes the tricky part, we put the cover on the flask and use mana to stabilize the potion. Precise control over mana was needed and he didn't train in that, so the flask ended up exploding, Rio would quickly move and use shadow shift to avoid the chemicals from spilling on him.
Rio continued to try and try until he had no ingredients left, however, he did manage to concoct one Blood-clotting potion, however from the color, you can tell its purity was basically dog shit, However, he could probably sell it.
Rio went to the Academy store to see how much this potion was worth, the clerk told me 2 low-grade spirit stones since the purity of the potion was terrible. Rio sold it and collected the money, he started with 25 and ended up with 2. Well, experiencing failure is also part of the process.
Rio was in need of money and it seems his only option for earning money right now is job-hunting, tasks are provided by the academy or an individual to asked carry out the task needed and the spirit stone listener would be rewarded.
However, since it was already night and Rio had artificing class tomorrow he should rest early, don't want the same mistake to happen twice in two different courses. Rio headed to his room, took a quick bath, and slumped on his bed before closing his eyes and falling deep into sleep.
