Chapter 239 - gut-wrenching wail

nand was devastated as Venya exited the room, and the idea that Venya would abandon Dharmagiri hit him like a ton of bricks.

They had just recently begun their voyage, yet they had to part ways since he had no idea how to stop her.

Nand gazed at Rudra through sad eyes, and Rudra could see the anguish that Nand was experiencing at the moment.

He took a step toward nand and spoke softly enough for them to both hear at the same time." Rest certain that she won't be leaving."

Nand was delighted to hear Rudra's remarks, but he remained silent since he thought Rudra might have planned something.

After Venya and Veer had vacated the room, Gurdeep addressed Rajeev and advised him to return home, while Ram and he would handle all matters in the medical facility.

" But uncle, Baladitya is kept under monitoring, I believe I ought to keep back at the hospital till this evening" , Rajeev responded right away.

Rajeev fulfilled his obligation as a physician by putting his patients' needs first.

Regarding Rajeev, Gurdeep stated, "I believe you have lost track of that I, too, am a physician; I am able to attend to his needs."

Although it concerned Rajeev to learn that Gurdeep was also a physician, he was more concerned with Baladitya himself.

Gurdeep spoke up right away when he spotted Rajeev mulling over something. "Rajeev, don't let Gowthami down; she could potentially be anxiously awaiting you tonight on your wedding night."

Rajeev felt bashful as he listened to Gurdeep's comments; in fact, he forgot about it entirely.

Upon observing that his son, the timid Rudra, was amused, he approached Rajeev and, in a low voice, mockingly said, "Come on, my boy, feel free to enjoy the evening; I am looking forward to soon holding my grandchildren."

When Rudra made remarks, Rajeev became more bashful.

Additionally, Ram approached Rajeev nearer and teased him by whispering in his ears. "Unfortunate elders are mistakenly believing that this is your first wedding night; however, they are unaware that you have previously tested Gowthami's virginity; the exact number of nights you and Gowthami have shared is unknown to even you" . Ram stated, "Only God knows."

Rajeev instantly planted an elbow kick into Ram's gut after hearing his comments.

Ram released a gut-wrenching wail." Ho god it's hurt"

The folks in the vicinity knew that Ram would constantly make fun of Rajeev and torment him, so instead of saying anything more, they laughed at Ram being beaten.

.....

During a sudsy stroll down a pitch-black tunnel, the enigmatic figure responsible for Baladitya's death discovered a chamber where a middle-aged man, maybe in his forties, had formerly been shackled.

"Greetings, Guru . I hope everything is going well for you. I just returned from a wedding, and it was an amazing event" , Guhya remarked as she entered the room.

The middle-aged guy in shackles who saw Guhya glanced at him angrily, but he remained silent.

Guhya continued talking, "You know that even though the bride looks stunning, I can't force myself to look at her. Don't worry, however; I'll surely get her.Would you want to know her label? "

The middle-aged guy was very weak and unable to move or speak. His face seemed gaunt, as if he hadn't eaten in days.

Guhya continued, "You should know that she goes by two identities, and her present title is Gowthami," as she moved closer to him.

Guhya watched to see how the middle-aged guy would respond, but it seemed as if he was uninterested in what Guhya had to say.

Upon receiving no response whatsoever, Guhya pretended to be disheartened and stated, "Come on, Guru Ji, I was so excited to share a happy story with you but your lack of interest prevents me from doing so. I believe your enthusiasm will return once I disclose you the name of that beautiful bride."

Guhya took a moment to observe the middle-aged guy's response. This time, the man seemed uninterested and continued to stare at Guhya, waiting to hear what he had to say. Nevertheless, an evil smirk came on Guhya's face as he said loudly, "Her old name was....Saki.."

The bats that were sleeping on the roof of the cave fled as the guy laughed aloud. "I suppose now you got her right," he said.

Upon hearing her name, the middle-aged man's eyes lit up with a fleeting spark of hope, though his expression swiftly gave way to shock and dread. His body trembled as he fell to his knees before Guhya, his hands clasped tightly in supplication, tears streaming down his weathered face. Desperation choked his voice as he pleaded, "Please, spare her! I beg you, don't harm her any further!"

Guhya, unmoved by the display, tilted his head, his lips curling into a sly, almost malevolent grin. He watched the man grovel with an air of cruel amusement, his laughter reverberating through the room, cold and mocking.

"Guruji," Guhya drawled, his tone dripping with feigned respect, "you are my mentor. How could you even think of lowering yourself to touch the feet of your own pupil?" He chuckled darkly, his voice laced with mockery as he added, "Please, don't degrade yourself like this. It's... unbecoming."

As he spoke, his laughter grew louder, his mocking glee filling the space, echoing like a sinister melody. The man remained on his knees, his sobs only deepening in the face of Guhya's taunting demeanor.

A middle-aged man pleaded with Guhya while supporting himself by saying, "Prayerlessly, I beg you to leave her alone and allow her to maintain her own life."

Guhya responded, "Please, Guru Ji, refrain from doing that. I admire you a lot." He then slightly shifted away from the middle-aged guy and left the dimly illuminated room.

He finally arrived after a while with a plate for nutrition and placed it next to the middle-aged guy. With a plate of nutrition in front of him, he said, "You have to be alive and witness her anguish over her rejection of me ha...ha...ha."
