Chapter 222 - bloodstains on the ground

In pursuit of the blood, the two Veer police officers entered the woodland.

They were able to locate Guhya with ease since they knew he had been hurt while trying to flee. The policeman found him by tracing the bloodstains on the ground, which eventually led them to a dark jungle.

They almost made it to the center of the jungle.

The blood strain ceased until that point, at which point it stopped. The ground where their tree is located is similarly green, and the neighboring trees are growing abnormally. They glanced about and saw no one else, only the large trees of the forest and well-grown plants. The grass around them seemed to belong to someone else rather than the typical valley grass.

Unbeknownst to them, all the noises that had been around them, such as the sounds of animals moving, abruptly ceased. They didn't feel as if they were in the midst of a forest.

While searching for the injured individual, one of them inquired, "Where did he vanish abruptly?"

In addition to looking around, the other individual stated, "What do I are aware of? I was constantly with you." He became agitated at his colleague remarks, became a little afraid, and spotted the dark woodland. He was not able to find the offender, which left him feeling disappointed and furious.

Since they were anxious about Venya, they really trailed him last. Following transporting Venya to the healthcare facility, they went back into the wilderness to find that individual. They followed them mindlessly and arrived in the center of the woodland after realizing that Mark was visible from the blood on the ground.

"Okay, okay, let's stop fighting and consider our next course of action. Where can we locate him?", the first person replied, scanning the area.

.The other one pulled out his mobile device and said, "What can we do now? We need to alert our superior of and anticipate for his instructions."

His tone was frustrated as he exclaimed, "Holy sh*t, there are no signals nearby! What ought to we do?"

"Alright, let's abandon here firs"t, the first one replied, surveying his surroundings.

They peered about, and everything in the forest seemed foreign to them.

Apprehensive that they had gotten disoriented, the initial individual inquired, "Do you recall the way back?"

His pulse raced, part dread and part resolve, as the thick vegetation closed in around him. Despite his knowledge of survival strategies, nothing could have prepared him for the innate fear of being lost in the merciless forest.

Initially, he got chills from every sound of leaves rustling and twigs snapping. The menacing cries of shadowy beings resounded among the foliage, intensifying his feeling of seclusion. Predators lying in the shadows, waiting for the right opportunity to attack, ran through his head.

The second individual similarly lost track of their route and responded, "I have no idea either; let's return in the direction we entered."

The first one became even more terrified after hearing the second person's comments, and he exclaimed, "What?" with panic in his voice."You overlooked it."

"Stop frightening yourselves; we can find a way out," the second one said indignantly. Though he was considering his escape route, he remained calm.

The first individual reasoned, "Why am I afraid? I am accompanied in this jungle, and we even have weapons with us." He explained that he were not alone in the jungle. He risked it everything.

The second person saw the area where there was blood strain in the ground, but to his surprise, there was no blood mark there. He replied, "Where are the blood marks?" in disbelief.

He believed that by following the blood marks on the ground, they might escape, but to their surprise, the blood has disappeared.

The first one, seeing that the blood had disappeared, enquired as to where the markings were.

The second one said, drawing his weapon and assuming an attacking stance, "Why does it seem like a trap?" Ever since he walked the forest, he felt as if something was unfolding around. He saw that the blood had disappeared and that everything was quiet. Taking everything into consideration, he thought it was a trap since even the grass around them seems to be someone else's grass rather than the typical grass that grows in the valley.

As soon as he saw his colleague drawing his weapon, the second individual did the same and began scanning the area. He had a strange feeling too.

The second one demanded, "Where are you? Acquire an exit immediately; failing that, you will pay with your life."

An abrupt laughter was heard from a male voice, who said, "Okay, boy, I thought you were a moron as your subordinate; it appears you have one on your side."

They surveyed their surroundings in an attempt to pinpoint the source of the sound, but they were unable as the speakers were positioned in four directions.

They were immersed in their thoughts when two arrows suddenly appeared in their way from someplace.

The first one was struck by the arrow, but the second one was able to move fast and to the side. The gentleman instantly lost his life as the arrow struck him squarely in the center of the skull.

He was devastated and furious to see his buddy and subordinate murdered. He got something out of his pocket right away and was going to push the button when three arrows suddenly appeared in his direction just as the second person was about to move forward. This time, he was unable to dodge the arrows; he took one to the neck, another to the heart, and a third to the stomach.

He exerted his utmost effort to press the button during his final moments of life.
