Venya felt an excruciating ache and quickly withdrew her hand. Her eyes were welling with tears that she couldn't see.

Playing the part of an actress, Gowthami also asked, "What happened, Venya?" in a tone that hinted at slight rage.
"No worries", Venya retracted her fingers and replied, "it's only a mosquito bite."
Venya became a little afraid when she saw Gowthami's irate expression. She is well aware of the reason for Gowthami's firm handshake. She was even more afraid of what Gowthami may do to her if she told Rajeev that Gowthami had injured her.
