Chapter 77 - let's get going.

Ram became a little afraid when he saw Rajeev turning into furious and quickly closed his lips.

Rajeev couldn't help the pang of jealousy that gnawed at him as he watched Gowthami embrace Vyaaghra. The sight of her arms wrapped around the tiger, the affection in her eyes, stirred something deep within him that he wasn't used to feeling. He tried to push it aside, keeping his focus resolutely forward, his expression carefully neutral. But Gowthami, ever perceptive, noticed the slight stiffness in his posture, the way he avoided looking in her direction.

Sensing his jealousy, Gowthami couldn't resist a playful tease. She called his name softly, "Rajeev," drawing out the syllables with a hint of mischief. When he didn't respond, her smile grew, and she decided to push him a little further. Rajeev, however, remained silent, his gaze fixed straight ahead as he instructed the group to keep moving, his voice firm and just a bit too controlled.

Undeterred, Gowthami approached him, her steps light and graceful. She slipped her arms around his neck, leaning in close so that he couldn't ignore her presence. "Rajeev...?" she repeated, her voice filled with affection and that unmistakable note of teasing. Her eyes sparkled with amusement as she looked into his, waiting for him to acknowledge her.

Rajeev's resolve faltered the moment he met her gaze. His heart skipped a beat, and he instinctively closed his eyes for a brief second, trying to regain his composure. He opened them again just as quickly, his face a mix of exasperation and fondness. "Absolutely not," he replied, though his tone lacked conviction. "And I'm not sure why I would be envious."

He shrugged away from her touch, but the warmth of her hands lingered, making it difficult for him to maintain his earlier resolve. Gowthami's sincerity and the playful challenge in her eyes made it clear she wasn't going to let him off the hook so easily. Rajeev hesitated, then quickly changed the subject, trying to regain control of the situation. "Let's move on," he said, his voice a bit gruff. "Or else we'll have to spend more time in the forest."

Before Gowthami could respond, Ram, who had been observing the exchange with a smirk, decided to chime in. He dramatically closed his eyes and raised a hand, his voice dripping with mock seriousness. "Alright, lovebirds, let's remember we have an audience," he said with a grin, gesturing toward himself, Vyaaghra, and the surrounding forest. "Some of us bachelors need to keep our wits about us."

Gowthami burst out laughing, her hands still resting on Rajeev's neck. She shot Ram a playful look, her laughter contagious in the otherwise tense atmosphere. "Oh, Ram, stop that!" she exclaimed, her voice full of warmth.

Rajeev finally allowed himself to smile, the tension easing from his shoulders as he took in the lighthearted banter between his companions. He gently removed Gowthami's hands from his neck, but he didn't let go immediately. Instead, he held onto one of her hands for a moment longer, his grip firm but gentle, as if he was reluctant to break the connection.

"Alright, let's get moving," he said, his voice softer now, the earlier edge gone. "We have a journey ahead."

Ram, eager to keep the momentum going and perhaps to steer the conversation away from the romantic tension he was clearly enjoying, spoke up immediately. "Yes, we need to make our way and get there before it gets dark."

Gowthami, her curiosity about her past and her family rekindled, nodded in agreement. The playful moment had passed, but the bond between the three of them felt stronger, more connected. They had a long journey ahead, and each step would bring them closer to answers, to safety, and perhaps to something more profound.

"Alright, let's get going."

With renewed determination, they continued their trek, leaving behind the cave that had witnessed their battles and their laughter ,the camaraderie and light-hearted banter lifting their spirits. The jungle was still full of dangers, but with each other by their side, they felt ready to face whatever lay ahead.

The forest around them was alive with the sounds of birds and rustling leaves, the air fresh and invigorating after the previous night's rain.

Vyaaghra led the way, its massive form moving gracefully through the underbrush. Gowthami walked beside Rajeev, their earlier moment of tension forgotten. Ram trailed behind, occasionally glancing around, his expression a mix of alertness and amusement.

Gowthami noticed Ram's pallor, his face showing signs of weakness. She turned to him with concern. "Ram, you need to get on Vyaaghra," she insisted, her tone brooking no argument.

Rajeev comprehended why Gowthami had brought up that, as she was concerned about Ram since he had been hurt the night before and had forfeited some blood.

Ram hesitated, looking between Vyaaghra and the rest of the group. "I'm fine, really," he started, but his voice lacked conviction.

Rajeev, observing the exchange, felt a pang of guilt. He had been so caught up in the chaos and his own emotions that he hadn't paid enough attention to Ram's condition. Ram, who treated him like a brother, deserved better care and consideration. He was grateful to Gowthami for noticing and caring for his friend, further deepening his affection for her.

"Yes, Ram. Simply ascend on Vyaaghra, and we shall trail after you two."

Ram didn't want Gowthami and Rajeev strolling, therefore he was quite excited to climb atop Vyaaghra.

"Ram," Rajeev said firmly, "Gowthami's right. You're injured and have lost a lot of blood. You need to rest." He met Ram's eyes, his expression earnest. "Please, for all our sakes."

Ram, seeing the seriousness in Rajeev's eyes and feeling the genuine concern from both of them, finally relented. "Alright, alright," he said, trying to muster a lighthearted tone despite his fatigue. "I guess I could use a little help."

Unwillingly, With a mixture of reluctance and relief, Ram climbed onto Vyaaghra's back

Since it was his first time hopping on a tiger this size, he was really excited and joyful.

As he settled in, he couldn't help but marvel at the unexpected turn of events. The great tiger beneath him moved with a strength and grace that was both comforting and awe-inspiring. "Well," he said with a faint smile, "this is certainly a story to tell."

Gowthami and Rajeev shared a look, their eyes conveying mutual relief and a deeper connection forged through shared concern. Vyaaghra, sensing its new rider's unease, moved carefully, leading the way with an almost protective demeanor.

As they continued their journey, the forest around them seemed to hum with life. Sunlight filtered through the canopy, casting a golden glow on the path ahead. Birds chirped in the distance, and the scent of rain-soaked earth and blooming flowers filled the air.

Ram, despite his initial hesitation, began to relax. He marveled at the surreal experience of riding a tiger, a creature that now felt more like a guardian than a predator. The warmth of Vyaaghra's body against his aching muscles brought a soothing comfort he hadn't expected.

Rajeev walked beside them, his thoughts a mix of gratitude and determination. He silently vowed to take better care of Ram and everyone he held dear. Seeing Gowthami's compassion and strength in action only deepened his resolve to be worthy of their trust and love.

Ram and Vyaaghra became buddies shortly after.

Gowthami and Rajeev cherished their time together following their was back.

The journey ahead was still uncertain, but with Vyaaghra leading the way and their bond strengthened by shared trials, they felt ready to face whatever lay ahead. Each step was a testament to their resilience and the unspoken promise of better days to come.
