Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1

'I have to credit Louis, his style is unique.', the new Louis thought to himself as the damsels finished his outfit. 'Funny how men in the past wore corsets and now if you wear one, you're a sorry excuse of one', he continued to think. "Young master, we're done with your clothing. Are we excused?", the head damsel asked and then did a curtsy. "Yes, thank you, have a nice day". He returned and gave the award-winning smile that makes women of all ages swoon, the damsels left in a hurry after that and shut the door *click*. He looked into the large cheval mirror and admired his looks, in the past as Noah he was the normal average American Malaysian. He got his mother's genes with her small eyes and flat nose but his father's fair skin, his hair was jet black and was always sleeked back. Currently, though, he had back-length mauve hair and was wearing a white shirt with ruffled sleeves, a waistcoat with a stylized corset (just there for design) and black pants.

"Looking good~", he said to himself before exiting his room; the shock he felt after exiting his room was too much to be shown on his face. Inside the palace was like the entire town he lived in plus the police station outside the town, 'Project walk down the stairs has been commenced.', he thought to himself and walked down the stairs trying to channel all the dignity from kindergarten beauty pageants {which he failed by the way}. The attempt to walk with dignity as a young master did not work well; while walking on the last step, he tripped and landed on his face alerting all the damsels waiting for him by the door to the dining room. "Young master- are you okay?", one of the women he recognized said to him: Miss Sheelah Doigan- a former pure noble blood but on the day her brother was becoming king of their territory, a blood bath occurred and she and her mother were the only survivors though the elder woman died on their way to a neighboring kingdom to seek refuge. That neighboring kingdom ended up being their own and the protagonist's mother felt pity and let them in.

The damsels helped him up and he smiled at them and then continued his painful journey to the dining room with a limp {he is dramatic if you ask me}.

Louis opened the door *screak*, all five pairs of eyes were on him. 'This is terrifying, how does he deal with this!', he thought to himself as he smiled at them and walked to the empty seat near one of his siblings as he assessed. "Good morning, everyone", he announced, and his mother answered, "Good morning, Louis, I hope you slept well." He smiled as an answer then looked at the elderly man sitting at the dining table, they met each other's eyes and the man scowled and looked down at his half-eaten food. Louis looked around at everyone's plates, their plates all looked almost finished except for the boy right beside him; "You all were pretty hungry it seems; you didn't wait for me. It is fine.", he said, and he looked at the boy beside him. 'Ryan Bragi-eldest son of the Bragi territory directly under the emperor. The only male child of the family who is not jealous of the lovely Prince Louis and learned proper manners from their mother, not their power-hungry father.' The silence in the dining room was uncomfortable for such a broken family, it did not bother Louis much, but it bothered the boy, Ryan beside him. He continued eating with a smile on his face until someone broke the silence; he would not have been affected if the statement or better yet- the question had not been directed at him. "So, Louis, your brother's coronation is near, how are you going to announce it to the common folks this time like you always do", the Count said and looked up from his food staring straight at the directed person. "Coun- Father, I don't have any plans to tell the people of our territory the events of that blessed day to come-", Louis stopped for a period then continued, "Except you want me to~". He had a menacing air around him, one that made the uncomfortable one disappear in a matter of seconds before it was replaced yet again with Louis' smile, this time it was not the one that would make the women abandon their betrothed but the one that could shake fear into the biggest troll. Everyone's eyes were focused on him: in a daze. *BANG*, Louis' hands hit the table and the daze everyone was in was lost. "I'm leaving, thank you for the food.", he said and left the room quietly but behind him scurrying was the future count of their territory, Ryan.

"LOUIS! LOUIS!", the voice sounded outside the dining room and Louis faced back to meet eyes with Ryan, "Yes, Louis", he answered. Ryan was quick to question him, "Are you okay? you don't seem fine or in the mood today. You do not usually let their comments get to you-" and he went on and on about if he needed help, he could talk to him. 'It's amusing, hah- no one cared about me back then and now I have someone who cares about me enough to lecture me about coming to meet him when I have a problem.', Louis thought to himself but then got slapped out of his consciousness when he got a hit on his head. "Ah-da! woah, Ryan. I was listening.", he said as he held his stomach in pain,' such a drama queen', Ryan thought as he put on a menacing face and said in a supposed-to-be scary manner, "What did I say last then? Answer Louis." Louis chuckled then opened his mouth in the 'I-want-to-speak-manner' and then made a run for it, he dashed upstairs and already felt the steps of someone following close behind him. He increased his speed and ran towards the east, the 'Louis' calls quickly faded into the wind as he ran further and further. Many would have said that the sight of their cute angel prince was an ethereal set and that is true, but it is not when the cute prince in question stops abruptly and ends up on the floor panting. "Louis, finally caught up to you", Ryan said between pants and then he looked up, "Louis-", he repeated to ask the other to come out of hiding then he saw the young adult on the floor. "Ryan-", Louise breathed out as he touched his neck, he was struggling to breathe; he felt something coming up his throat. He knew what it was as he tasted it in his mouth: blood, it came out in a gush staining the white marble floor. He felt the arms of his elder brother on him as his consciousness faded from him, the last thing he saw was a must-have portrait of the newly coronated emperor.

"AH! What is with it and my dumb dreams", Louis said as he got up from the floor where he lay, 'Then again, where am I?', he thought to himself. His answer was quickly answered when a man in a white toga appeared and disappeared as soon as he was seen. Louis knew he was not alone, so he did not dare move, he felt something on his left near his ear, so he stretched his left arm from the back and grabbed onto whatever he could pull, and it just so happened to be the thing's cheek {thankfully}. The man as he assessed screamed in his ear, "OW! LET GO OF MY CHEEK," the man said with sass. Louis let go of the man's cheek but only after he dragged the man in front of him to see him. 'He he's-''beautiful,' the mauve-haired one thought as he stared at the sight before him, the man in front of him wore a white toga that draped down his body showing slight chest and his hair draped down his body, the man's hair was white with a few black strands in the front. "Answer my question, who are you?" Louis asked the man. The man in the toga held his cheek and rubbed it, "Thats now how you should treat your pride.," Louis looked at him up and down then remembered, 'Oh this is a fantasy novel, it follows the original plot because no one knows I'm in his body.' "I can hear you; you know..." ... The silence after that statement was deadly, it was like none of them were breathing in fact. "Soo... can you send me back?", Louis asked to break the silence but then was meant with another lecture about how he should do this and that to empower his weak body and what not, he stopped listening halfway, but he did get things like, 'Don't listen to your siblings and the king, their only power is jealousy; eat enough food.' The man continued ranting and there was no need for Louis to listen until he heard the name 'Ryan,' he tuned back in his hearing, "OHHH- so now you listen when I call your brother's name- hmph." The man tried to pout, key word: attempt. Although the man is beautiful, he looks better doing manly things and not looking like a baby. "I don't even know your name and yes, I only listen when you say my brother's name.," the mauve haired teen said with a stern voice. "OK, my name is Braize. I am here for your guidance and yes, your brother that Ryan, will continue to protect you, but you must not rely too much on his power or the expected normally will not be expected.," "Except you do want something to happen to him.," he said that last part with a smirk. "Shut up Braid- or whatever you call yourself, take me back. I have heard your warning so let me go.," Louis said and stood up, Braize stood up too but even as he wore no shoes, he was still taller than the young man by a shot. Louis blushed in embarrassment as he noticed it, trying not to think of it was hard but his mind got the best of him as he thought to himself, 'Why is everyone taller than me, what id this guy's parents feed him as a child; a tree.' Braize snickered at the comment then flicked the other male's forehead, "Get your head out of the gutter," he said as Louise rubbed his forehead and scowled at the taller one. "It's time to go, short stack," Braize said but before Louis could retort, the dream-like dimension shifted and then he was back in his own room. His eyes fluttered open slowly, he looked around and saw Ryan, their mother, and the youngest daughter in the room along with one of the castles most trusted doctor and some damsels, the one closest being Miss. Sheelah of course since she is the countesses most trusted damsel.

"LOUIS!" He heard someone scream and he turned his head to meet Ryan jumping on him and the youngest daughter of the family close behind him.

Caspian Bragi, the youngest daughter of the Bragi household. She is still a naive child and one of the two children that loves Louis. 'Ow, that hurts,' he winced at the pressure of two people on him. "Get down from him," his mother's caring voice sounded, and he could only thank the gods in his mind that such a nice woman was his mother. His mother walked towards him taking her sweet time and then she stopped at the bed he laid down on and felt his head, "The healer said there's not enough food in your system for a growing boy of your age. All the time, you stayed in your room instead of coming out to eat with us, what happened?" she asked with a pitiful face and her voice held worry. Louis held her hand in place on his face and spoke in a reassuring tone, "Don't worry mother, I am okay. The food is enough, my stomach does not want to alert me when I am a little hungrier.," he smiled at her, and she smiled back at him. She hugged him and the little girl's mind clicked to a group hug, so she pulled Ryan and then hugged her mother from the back while Ryan tried to enter the main hug. They spent more time in his room, which entailed his mother forcing him to eat more food, Caspian and Ryan putting on a magic show and Louis trying to sleep which made them leave in the end much to Caspians' displeasure. No one was in the room other than Louis himself now, he breathed out in relief. 'Finally, alone,' he thought. *THUD*, he opened his eyes and sat up fast at the sound, he was about to get off the bed when he finally looked at the person who caused the sound, it was Braize. "Now, you can become solid, what cannot you do now!" he screamed at the man and then fell backwards onto the bed. Braize, the man the question was directed at was on the floor because he fell on his butt, "You won't at least say sorry to me, I FELL!" He screamed and was only met with a snicker then a howl of laughter from the one on the bed. He could only sulk on the floor before he heard Louis' voice again, "Sorry, now get up, we need to talk about something important.," he got up and sat on the bed like he owned it with his bare feet on the bed too. "Get your feet off my bed", Louis said annoyed and Braize just batted his eyelashes and began his ranting again. The 'important' talk they were supposed to have, was reduced to a chat between a male and his pride, a very funny chat.

They both heard a knock at the door and their eyes met, Braize vanished at once. "Come in!" Louis answered and Sheelah came in, "Young master, you're requested to come for dinner, please," she announced, "Thank you, you may go", he replied to her. She turned around and left but before she shut the door, she did a hand sign and then left. He stared at the door expectantly waiting for something interesting to happen but then when a vortex like shape with words around it appeared Infront of his bed and a sword fell out of it, his mouth curved into a smile and then he got down from the bed. He picked up the blade and looked at it, 'just like the novel', he thought then he hid it under his bed. With that he had a new weapon, he put on the clothes he previously wore in the morning and left feeling accomplished that the plot hadn't changed so far. He had a quiet dinner with his family then he went to bed.
