Chapter 5 - Consulting with Mebius

"You're simply a genius!" This was Sem's assessment of Diga after they arrived at the telekinesis training classroom. Sem had only explained the basics, and Diga had already mastered them completely. Now, he had gone from not knowing Ultra Will at all, as Ace had said, to being able to manipulate stones weighing around a hundred pounds with Ultra Will. This was a milestone that many Ultramen usually took about half a year to achieve during their childhood, yet Diga had grasped it just from the theory.

Concentrate the mind, attach to objects, and that's the entry to Ultra Will?

[Sem's Favorability +10]

No teacher dislikes a genius student!

Diga felt a bit guilty internally; after all, he had just "borrowed" or rather, learned these skills from Sem. How could it be considered stealing when he had earned the closeness through diligent learning?

Outwardly, he showed no embarrassment, instead politely saying, "It's all thanks to your excellent teaching!"

"Don't mention it," Sem shook his head. "I've taught many, but you're the first with such talent. Let's move on to the next lesson, manipulating energy bodies with Ultra Will!"

A minute later...

[Sem's Favorability +10]

Sem exclaimed, "You've already mastered it! Next time, you can directly control the Light Rings, that's incredible. In just a short while, you've made significant progress!"

[Sem's Favorability reached 50, upgraded to a cordial relationship, acquiring the skill: Advanced Ultra Will]

[Skill Description]: Advanced Ultra Will allows direct influence on the enemy, shaking their willpower, sealing their skills, etc. It consumes a lot of physical strength and can be used in human form.

My goodness, isn't this the Ultra Intention that Seven frequently used on TV to help Leo defeat powerful enemies while in human form? Despite some side effects, it's powerful!

If he were to return to Earth now, Diga wouldn't just be an Ultraman newbie who could only offer moral support to his brother Tiga during monster battles.

Looking at Sem, Diga inwardly marveled at the Sem family's renowned control over telekinesis.

Sem felt teaching too much at once wasn't advisable, even for someone as capable as Diga, and decided to end the lesson to allow for consolidation.

As Diga stepped out of the classroom, he saw Mebius waiting outside.

"Teacher Sem, I was looking for Diga," Mebius stated his purpose.

Sem nodded, "Then you two chat. I'll be off. Diga, if you have any questions about Ultra Will, feel free to come to me!"

"Sure!"

After Sem left, Mebius extended his hand, "Let's properly introduce ourselves. I'm Ultraman Mebius!"

"Ultraman Diga!"

After the handshake, Diga looked at Mebius curiously, wondering what he wanted.

Mebius got straight to the point, "Instructor Taro mentioned you just enrolled and aren't familiar with the dorms. He asked me to take you there and see if you need anything."

So it was about showing him the way. Diga nodded slightly, "Thanks, classmate!"

"No problem. I also have some questions to consult you about while we walk," Mebius said.

As they walked deeper into the academy, Mebius shared his questions. As the most outstanding student of this term at the Land of Light Academy, he was about to join the Ultra Guard for an internship and might later be dispatched to Earth for a mission to protect it. However, he knew very little about Earth, and those Ultramen who had been there were too busy to share much about its culture and people.

Meeting Diga, a classmate from Earth, was a perfect opportunity, so he volunteered to guide Diga to the dorm.

Diga was pleased; someone needing his help meant a chance to boost favorability. He immediately thought of the biggest difference between Earth and the Land of Light: the food culture.

"Earth is great, there's so much delicious food!" Diga enthusiastically began his introduction to Mebius.

Mebius was puzzled, "Delicious food?"

Ultramen from the Land of Light don't need to eat; they sustain themselves with light energy, so those who haven't been to Earth in human form are unaware of the deliciousness of Earth's cuisine. Remember, the Ultraman brothers even traveled far just for Taro's barbecue invitation.

Mebius would surely remember Diga's recommendation once he experienced Earth's cuisine, boosting his favorability.

Diga explained, "We Ultramen sustain ourselves with light energy, but humans are different. Water, air, and food are all essential for their survival. Earth has a thick atmosphere, so we can only act for three minutes under normal conditions. That's why we usually take human form or possess humans to live according to human needs. So, food is key!"

[Mebius's Favorability +2]

Hearing the system notification in his mind, Diga was pleased; it was working!

Mebius nodded thoughtfully, "I know about Ultramen possessing humans, but why describe sustenance as 'delicious'?"

Ah, that question came from a different angle. Diga responded, "Why limit ourselves to just one kind of food? Humans have discovered various spices and ingredients to create a rich variety of foods to satisfy everyone. I especially recommend trying Chinese cuisine, which is incredibly diverse. Just in Sichuan province alone, you could eat different dishes every day for a year without repeating!"

Mebius nodded slowly, then realized, "Wait, I'm going there for a mission, to protect Earth!"

"Earth isn't constantly under monster attack. Between battles, we should enjoy good food and drink!" Diga said earnestly.

[Mebius's Favorability +2]

"Understood. Regarding combat, any advice?"

"I'm also a newbie in combat..." Remembering how Tiga faced monsters while he could only offer moral support, Diga felt a bit embarrassed.

Then he thought of Mebius's first battle on Earth, using buildings as cover, defeating the monster but leaving the city in ruins. Criticized by humans for what he had "protected," Diga solemnly advised Mebius, "You're going to Earth to protect, so remember that word. Don't endanger Earth's inhabitants in your fight. That's not protection but harm. On Earth, monsters sometimes appear in cities, quickly dealt with by Ultramen, but humans take months or even a year to rebuild. So, minimize disaster during battles!"

Mebius pondered deeply, then bowed slightly to Diga, "Thank you, Diga. I hadn't considered that."

[Mebius's Favorability +10] [Seven's Favorability +10]

Seeing the notification, Diga was surprised. Seven? Was he nearby?
