Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 : Arjun meet hunter agent

A week passes when Arjun receives his traveler's license card. Since getting the travel license card, he has been trying for a job but hasn't been hired because everyone rejects his E-rank. The mentality among travelers is that he's too weak, inexperienced in combat, and gets injured quickly.

Arjun was sitting in the café area of the Adventure Guild, a place bustling with people. Some travelers had returned after completing their missions while others were preparing to leave.

When the monster slayer charges arrived at the Adventure Guild after completing their mission, everyone was having a party, and all the food was free.

"I wish my people would look at me with the same respect," Arjun thought sadly to himself. He was sitting quite despondently.

"Hey kid, your glass is empty," a person's voice comes.

When Arjun looked towards the person, he ignored them.

"What's wrong? Why are you upset?" the person asked, laughing.

"Go away, I don't want to talk," Arjun replied curtly.

The person was quite persistent and shameless. Despite hearing Arjun's cold response, he didn't leave and sat down on the chair next to Arjun.

"Tommy, please fill my friend's glass," the person said to the waitress working at the Adventure Guild.

"Okay," Tommy replied and filled Arjun's glass with juice.

"I told you, I don't want to talk about anything," Arjun said sternly, placing his head on the table.

When Arjun lifted his head after 10 minutes, he was surprised to see the same person still sitting there, enjoying his juice and eating monster chicken legs.

"Oh, you're awake now," the person asked.

"By the way, who are you and why are you sitting next to me, when everyone else runs away from me?" Arjun asked, looking at the person.

"These people are foolish, they don't appreciate any talent," the person said, glancing towards the café area.

"I saw you fighting with the primary master in the mountain area... You fought well," the person praised Arjun.

Upon hearing the person's words, Arjun looked at him without expression, then suddenly it clicked, and he said, "Oh, so you're talking about that day."

About 2 days ago, when Arjun was feeling disappointed because he couldn't find a job and there was nothing to eat at home. Although Auntie usually provides food, but still, basic things like soap, toothbrush, clothes, and some other things were running out.

In the town near the golden hill, where basic and primary tier monsters lurked, Arjun, a determined young adventurer, faced his greatest challenge yet: the Antbullet monster.

Standing at an imposing height of nearly four feet, with a body that resembled an ant and scorpion-like stingers for arms, the Antbullet was a fearsome adversary. Its venom possessed a deadly potency, capable of paralyzing half the body upon contact, leaving victims in agonizing pain.

Undeterred by the threat, Arjun wielded the power of Agnipath, unleashing his first fireball in a determined bid to vanquish the monstrous foe. But victory did not come easily, and Arjun soon found himself locked in a fierce battle for survival.

Fortunately, aid arrived in the form of the Adventure Girls, a group of skilled warriors who bestowed upon Arjun powerful weapons through the E-rank event travel license. Armed with newfound strength, Arjun pressed on, facing further trials and tribulations in his quest to emerge victorious.

After a grueling confrontation, Arjun emerged triumphant, clutching the core of the defeated Antbullet. With his prize in hand, he made his way to the town's outpost and local shop, where he exchanged the creature's remains for valuable bronze credits.

As the shopkeeper counted out Arjun's earnings, the young adventurer couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. With two silver credits and an additional bronze credit to his name, he knew he had more than enough to provide for himself and his beloved sister.

With a grateful smile, Arjun turned to his sister, who had stood by his side throughout his journey. "We can finally take a break," he said, his voice filled with relief and gratitude. "Thank you for always believing in me."

And so, amidst the fantastical landscapes and challenges of their world, Arjun and his sister embarked on a well-deserved retreat, their bond stronger than ever as they reveled in the warmth of home credits and the promise of a brighter future.

"Where did those boys disappear?" a person said, snapping his fingers in front of Arjun.

"Yeah," Arjun replied, flustered.

"Okay, show the card," the person took out a card from his pocket and placed it near Arjun, winking at him, then attempted to leave.

Arjun looked at him strangely, unable to comprehend what was going on in his mind.

"I didn't take the guy's card," Arjun said as Tommy looked at him, "Do you know who he is?"

Tommy's question made Arjun gaze at him questioningly.

"He's Singhania," Tommy continued, "Varun Singhania, who runs the White Tiger Hunter Agency. They're quite famous in the nearby five towns, and their headquarters is established in Blue City. Blue is listed as the fifth on the hunter's list," Tommy explained to Arjun. Just as he was explaining, a traveler called him, and he walked towards him.

Arjun was taken aback and looked at the card, where the name of the White Tiger Hunter Agency was written along with a paw print.

"Why would someone from the White Tiger Agency want to take me when I'm just an E-rank traveler?" Arjun said to himself, trying to make sense of it.

Apart from Blue City, the White Tiger Hunter Agency has branches in other places. Every month, they interview travelers nearby, but only five of them get selected.

Arjun quickly put the card in his pocket after making a bronze credit payment and left the cafe area.
