Chapter 27 - Chapter 27  She Can't Transform (꒪⌓꒪)

When the three beast leaders arrived, Happiness pretended to be seriously ill and lay on the bed. Abyssyus couldn't help but rush over and massage her affectionately. Damian was disappointed, but he was very pleased with Happiness's improvement in language. Alexander, being the most practical one, went to Eliot to confirm that Happiness's illness was not serious. After that, he gave a large amount of raw meat and specially prepared cooked food for Happiness to Ben, asking him to organize it properly. Then he stayed by Happiness's side.

Happiness coughed a few times, sneakily glanced at Alexander, and felt guilty. She wasn't actually sick or in pain, but she used this behavior to avoid the consequences of enjoying the benefits they provided. It was a bit embarrassing. Although Happiness appeared silly and cute, she was actually very clever. From the actions of the beast men, she could see that what they wanted was her body. Putting aside the fact that it was immoral to take advantage of others, even if they forced themselves on her, it would be in vain since she had no family or connections!

But now? The rogue beast she despised the most presented her with several storybooks, all colorful and cartoon-like. Among them was a simple history book that she wanted the most. If it weren't for her "bedridden" condition, she would have immediately wanted to read it by the light of a lamp at night.

The money leopard named Abyssyus casually handed her a large box of snacks, saying that he made them himself. These delicate and exquisite sweets couldn't be found in supermarkets. Happiness opened the box and saw that it was divided into four layers, each containing a different type of snack. The white ones were square-shaped, the purple ones were made into five-petal flowers by Abyssyus, the pink ones were diamond-shaped, and the last layer looked soft and chewy, with a yellowish sheen and a sprinkle of crispy nuts. They were made into small round balls.

Happiness rubbed her eyes and found herself annoying. She clearly was a very practical person, but she always got moved to the point where she couldn't speak, and she had the urge to cry or even burst into tears. When her mother was alive, she would often make small snacks for her to make her happy. Happiness thought that no one would treat her like that again... Why were these beastly men so good to her? Was it just for her body? If she ignored her fear of the huge dick, she would see that their smiles were sincere and pure, filled with infinite enthusiasm for her.

Happiness picked up a small ball and put it in her mouth. Abyssyus must have put a lot of sugar in it. It tasted more to her liking than the tasteless pastries in the supermarket. Happiness choked and tried her best to swallow the pastry, whispering, "It's delicious, thank you, Abyssyus." Then she patted the book with her little hand and said, "Damian, thank you for the book."

The leopard and the wolf were not as complicated as ancient human males. When they heard the soft voice of the little female beast saying thank you and saw Happiness's deeply moved look, they immediately became shy. One waved his hand and the other shook his head, both at a loss.

"This is what I should do! Hehe, besides, I really like making snacks. Actually, I just conveniently made some for you, haha!"

"As long as you like it, Happiness!"

Perhaps one day, even if Happiness really had to face all three of them, judging by their level of love for her, they would definitely not be willing to let her make headlines in the social version...

However, she had already pretended to be ill, so she had to continue pretending. Happiness ate some of the pastries and put the rest back in the box, then put it in the refrigerator.

If she couldn't do it, then she wouldn't do it. The three leaders quickly adjusted their mentality. Even if they couldn't mate, there was still one big thing to look forward to - the racial affiliation of the little female beast would be revealed tonight.

Happiness was carried by the bedding to the spacious hall on the first floor, feeling a bit confused.

"I think Happiness must be a cute little white leopard." Abyssyus touched his chin and said.

"I think she is a member of the wolf tribe." Damian said, and Lus and Andy echoed.

"When Happiness was choosing an avatar online, she chose the dog tribe." Ben proudly said, the faces of the other two beastly men immediately darkened, and Alexander smiled satisfiedly, "Even if it's the dog tribe, I think Happiness's original form is also very small."

As Happiness listened to these conversations, she became more and more confused. What did they mean? Didn't they realize that they were humans themselves? And why didn't they go back to their own rooms to sleep in the middle of the night? They hugged her and kissed her, shouldn't they let her rest?

Fortunately, Eliot was attentive and explained the latest important news to Happiness in simple and understandable language. Happiness felt a little frightened in her heart. Although she understood what Eliot said, she couldn't digest the meaning behind it. What did it mean that everyone was eager to see her transform after she rested well? What was she going to use to transform? A magic wand?

"But I..." Before Happiness could finish speaking, several mountains suddenly appeared in front of her, and the originally spacious living room suddenly became crowded. Damn it! Happiness smacked her lips and saw that these beastly men had all transformed into their animal forms at the same time! Did that news mean that they would maintain this for a whole week?!

"But... I can't transform, that transformation..." Happiness finished speaking with a dry laugh, but suddenly she was bumped by a big nose and fell on the sofa. She saw a giant wolf baring its teeth, sniffing her vigorously with its nose.

"Damian, what, what's wrong?" Happiness was a little scared. She tightly held onto the bedding and looked fearfully into the eyes of the giant wolf. She looked around and saw that all the giant beasts were staring at her, each with a different expression - confusion, contemplation, anxiety, and even a cold killing intent.

Happiness was about to cry, "What's wrong with you? I, I won't really change..."

The gazes of the beasts exchanged, conveying the same message - mutated ancient species?! Was she being manipulated by someone? If someone was manipulating her, what was her purpose in approaching the Fifth District and integrating into the group of beasts?

The golden retriever quickly stepped forward and forcefully pushed away the gray wolf. He gently licked the frightened Happiness and positioned his huge light golden body in front of her. The deep brown eyes were resolute and fearless. Ben was the first one to step forward and protect Happiness. Although his claws were not sharp enough to defeat the wolf, he was willing to guard Happiness with his life.

Alexander, walking with steady steps, also came to Happiness side and licked her cheek with his tongue, indicating his stance. After a short standoff, the beasts calmed down and found a place to lie down. In fact, Damian never had the intention of biting Happiness. He turned around and used his paw to turn on the television. The pre-recorded commentary echoed in the living room. The beasts seemed to no longer pay attention to Happiness and instead focused on watching the television.

Coincidentally, the television was discussing the issue of mutations in ancient species. The ancient species, which were dirty and mutated, had recently been continuously evolving. The highly evolved males had become very similar to humanoid beasts. The scientific department called on the beasts to kill their evolution in the cradle. The expert's words were impassioned, "Unfortunately, we are already too late to kill the ancient species in the cradle! At least we cannot allow them to grow up!"

Cannot grow up? The beasts present couldn't help but think of Happiness, their self-proclaimed humanoid female beast. She was so cute, her body was so warm. How could she be a mutated ancient species? If the ancient species evolved into such a living female, what would the future be like?

The door on the second floor creaked open. A fully shiny, silky black panther slowly descended the stairs. Alexander locked his gaze on the panther, highly alert to his sudden attack on Happiness.

The raised paw was forgotten and the panther stared blankly at the still small humanoid Happiness. However, Lionel didn't react much. He nodded at Alexander and silently went downstairs, entering the kitchen. After rummaging around, he dragged out a large piece of bloody raw meat and lay down in the corner of the hall, eating it to his heart's content.

Happiness curled up in Alexander's belly pocket. What on earth was going on? She hadn't done anything at all, she just couldn't transform. Why did she feel that everyone's gaze towards her had changed? Happiness tried to cover her mouth and cough a few times, but it didn't attract the expected attention. They clearly heard it, but no one paid attention to her.

Alexander lowered his head and licked Happiness's lips, indicating that she should not make a sound. The atmosphere was unusually heavy and eerie. Happiness became truly uneasy. She knew that the misunderstanding had finally been revealed to the beasts. She could feel their change in emotions. Perhaps from now on, her life would completely change and reverse... However, even though her life was worthless, she didn't want to die at all. In the terrifying catastrophe back then, her parents sacrificed their lives to save her. No matter what, she must survive, even if she has to withstand the attacks of three or more wild beasts, even if they forever view her as an anomaly and no longer spoil her with good food and drink, all she wanted was for them to let her live.

With her hand tightly covering her mouth and tears streaming down her eyes, Happiness hugged her furry belly. She didn't understand why this was happening, but she desperately wanted to tell them that she was innocent. She couldn't transform, and she begged them not to kill her. She was willing to live even if it meant eating leftover food and living in the basement. She was willing to do anything for them!

Happiness's tears quickly soaked a small patch of Alexander's fur. His body trembled like a tree leaf on the verge of falling in the autumn wind. The pastries made by Abyssyus and the history book written by Damian kept flashing in front of his eyes. Thinking about their various kindnesses towards him, Happiness's tears fell even more fiercely...
