I was mind blown to say the least at what IAS was saying or writing to be exact. The RPG like system, which on its own was something out of this world.
But the one thousand bonus, now that, that was something I needed in my life. Well, now that my left leg has been fixed.
But before I start thinking too far into the functions of IAS, I should try properly walking first.
Picking myself up from the ground, I relaxed my body onto the crutch, making my way to my room.
I entered my room for the third time today, running my fingers through my hair that had grown in the past year.
My beard had also taken the race of which of them was going to be the longest after a year of no cuts.
'Now, 1000x bonus…'
Even if I focused on just doing my job, based on what IAS wrote, it meant I would have twenty million credits at the end of the month.
Honestly, as long as I don't lose my job, I should be able to easily quit and retire once the month is over.
But the next question for me was if I wanted to give those loan sharks the money. I could easily hide for a month in a run-down motel in another city, waiting the month out.
The problem with that plan was easy to spot. I hadn't gotten used to my leg being fine yet. The whole month might be enough, but by then they might be back asking for their money.
But most importantly, I need to give them a taste of their medicine, they broke my leg, its fine to break theirs as well.
I made an overexaggerated motion of flinging my arms towards my sides, as I slump down harder on my seat.
Grabbing the crutch, I throw it a few feet away, "I should start."
Using the seat as a hold, I began to rise up. Slowly releasing my hold on the chair. I began slowly moving towards where the crutch landed.
[Goodluck master, you can do it.], my eyelids twitched at the message, but a slight smirk came through.
It was what I needed to keep moving, as slow as I thought it was. 'Progress takes time', a saying that I had been told many times over.
*Thud*
I slid and fell unto the wall, catching myself with it. The strawberry scent of the cleaning agent I used for my room, still going strong.
Pushing myself off the wall I continued to move towards the crutch, it took me a few seconds while trying to walk normally. Or at least what I thought was normal.
I soon reached the crutch, the relief bringing a wry smile to my face. It wasn't going to be easy to get back to regular motor functions.
I plopped myself unto the bed, I was going to return to my seat without the crutch, but first I needed to reorient myself.
A normal, mundane, usual walk to my chair, felt like a daunting task to me now. Where I had to completely tell myself the journey wasn't going to be easy.
"Yeah, I'm breaking their legs.", with that said I began.
~~~
Two weeks has passed, I haven't done much but practice walking. Well I've gone past practicing walking, now I'm putting it into practice.
The task that signaled my qualifications was the stairs. I used this as the benchmark to show how much I had grown, and I had.
It was my go-to morning routine, but it was mostly because I was still on a high of getting my leg back.
One I thought I had lost forever, because I didn't have remotely enough money for the surgery.
Traces of sweat, evident on my brow as I speed walked up and down the stairs for the thirtieth time.
"IAS, stats."
[Strength : 4.5]
[Agility : 5.6]
[Stamina : 5.8]
"Hmm they haven't grown that much."
I started with a strength value of 4.4, two weeks ago, so that hadn't really changed much. The most change was in both agility and stamina.
Agility growing by 1, and stamina by 1.2. I hadn't been moving around much till these two weeks, but I still wondered why they grew so much in these last weeks.
The only answer I got from IAS was that my body worked differently now, that it had fused with him or her, it, fused with it.
Simply meaning, I grew at a faster rate because it was now a part of my life. I'm not complaining though. Who knows how long getting those stats would have taken normally.
Missions though, I hadn't even seen a sniff. I don't even know how common they should be in the first place. So I can't draw parallels to my situation.
But for now, I still have two weeks till those bastards come back.
"Again!"
~~~
My strength stat has finally reached five, a beautiful feeling. With the amalgamation of all my stats reaching five, IAS gave me a mission.
"Reach ten in all stats before the end of the month. I wanted missions but not like this."
But it was very tempting. The physique points I would gain was 30. A lot for a mission for this, if you asked me.
[You can do it, you just need to up your workouts. Your leg is fine now, so throw yourself into the workouts. You can do it.]
This guy has been sounding more and more like a motivational speaker every single day. But he, yes he, was right. I hadn't really been doing as much as I knew I could.
That was going to change now, if I want to get the thirty points. The plan was simple, work until you drop, ten keep working.

[Mission Passed!]
[Strength : 10]
[Agility : 10.5]
[Stamina : 10.2]
"HA, FINALLY."
My smile beaming from the corners of my mouth as I plopped to the floor. I was happy, but I was way more tired.
My eyes closed as IAS kept writing words for me to read. I should come up with a better name for him.
