I stared blankly at him for a few minutes, my voice failing me once again. His eyes remained locked with mine, and I couldn't help but wonder if he was truly the vampire lord mentioned by the Centaurs.
He didn't look scary at all. Apart from his blood-red eyes and skin as white as paper, there wasn't anything else frightening about him.
His husky voice jolted me out of my reverie.
"Am I that scary? Why do you have that look on your face?"
"Emmm… nothing! I'm just surprised you're so… cute. I was expecting an ugly creature with a bloodstained mouth," I quivered.
Valerius stared at me in awe for a second before bursting into a loud cackle. "Drooling already?"
"What! I never said that! What the… f ?"
" Women are always in denial!" he scoffed loudly and reached for my hurting ankle.
His grip on my ankle tightened with an ironclad hold and before I could react, he twisted my ankle sharply.
