"Nana? Are you asleep?" Left alone with Yonah, Ross made light steps and approached the bed. Yonah was facing the windows, giving her back to him; hence, he couldn't determine whether she finally calmed down and no longer cried.
"Go away!"
Ross felt a sharp pang in his heart. Yonah still hated him. He couldn't stand that she didn't want to talk to him anymore.
"Can we talk first?" he pleaded.
"I hate you, so don't talk to me!"
Ross pursed his lips. He understood why Yonah was still making a fuss, and now she expressed her disappointment after he helped persuade her to give up her phone.
She assumed they banded together to aggrieve her.
"Please, can you give me a chance to make it up to you?" He knew he shouldn't give in to her tantrums, but he was in a dilemma.
