Ross looked at Yonah, her eyes shining with anticipation. The latter's heart beat fast momentarily, and Yonah wondered why she felt this way. On the other hand, Ross's heart skipped a beat.
"Is something wrong, Kuya Ross?" Curios, she asked again.
Ross blinked and smiled apologetically. He showed his phone screen and said, "I've run out of battery."
"Oh. It's been a long day for you already." It was understandable. Ross left the safe house earlier this morning and had been out all day.
"Don't worry. I will lend you my phone once it is fully charged," Ross said to comfort her disappointment.
Yonah waved her hand, saying, "It's okay, Kuya Ross. I will message sister Shenna tomorrow morning."
"Okay." Just then, Ross sighed with relief. He mentally wiped the invisible beads of sweat on his forehead, composed himself, and finished his plate. This time, dessert was about to be served. But he noticed Yonah constantly yawning.
