Chereads / Vampire Queen. / Chapter 19 - Save him

Chapter 19 - Save him

There aren't many purebred vampires in the vampire clan, as the majority of vampires are transformed from humans. Therefore, it is not difficult for the clan to find someone to turn into a vampire initially; what's difficult is finding the right person.

Camilla remained silent for a moment and mentioned two names from the vampire lineage that were not unfamiliar: "Are you referring to Cain and Felicity?"

Cain, of unknown age and male gender, was an ancient vampire emperor. He was the most outstanding leader among all vampire leaders, with unparalleled leadership abilities. He is revered as the progenitor of vampires by future generations.

During his reign, the vampire community laid the foundation for future development and signed a "perpetual peace treaty" with humans under his leadership, marking the beginning of thousands of years of vampire civilization.

In ancient times, Cain fell in love with a human woman named Felicity.

Felicity likes the green clothes and emerald bamboo, as well as the clear water and vast sky.

Cain dressed in a green robe and spent his days hiding among the cold bamboo and cypress forests, accompanying the woman who had captured his heart.

Afterwards,Felicity grew old and her beauty faded. Unable to bear the thought of parting with her, Cain bit her in order to attain eternal life and be together forever.

Afterwards, there was an additional beautiful goddess in the mortal realm, while the vampire clan lost a great leader.

When Helen first heard this legend, she found it amusing. "Camilla, humans are so funny" she said. "They claim that Felicity flew to the moon at a speed comparable to a rocket's, and couldn't be persuaded to come back."

Camilla slapped her forehead and sighed, "Didn't they mention Cain?"

"Of course there was. " Helen's eyes sparkled with silver light, and her smile deepened: "They said that back then, there were no phones or WeChat, so every year at that time, Cain would sit in the yard and watch the moon while eating cake."

"What about Felicity?" Camilla asked.

"Of course, it would be sitting in the moon, holding a rabbit and watching Cain eat cake." Helen laughed again, this story is widely talked about among people, but only she finds it funny.

Camilla said seriously, "Their The Embrace was a result of mutual affection. What about you? Do you really like him? Does he truly like you?"

Upon hearing these words, Helen's laughter abruptly ceased and her eyes gradually darkened. In her mind, a thread of thoughts scattered like broken flower bells in the wind, suddenly losing all interest in life.

"Helen, no matter what you think, I don't agree with you giving that man The Embrace. Unless a miracle happens." Camilla said seriously. Because that man is a vampire hunter!

Last night, that man set up a barrier outside the house, like electronic radiation, severely affecting her sleep quality.

Helen stopped talking and turned her head to look out the window. Just now, there was a figure running past outside. Was it Dennis?

Camilla followed Helen's gaze and blinked her eyes suddenly. After staring carefully for a while, she stood up abruptly and asked in confusion, "Helen, what do you see over there?"

Outside the window, on the rooftop of a distant shopping mall building, a plume of black smoke is swiftly moving against the intense afternoon sunlight.

In the black smoke, a faint figure of a person appeared. It was the icy and sharp face of a young boy, beautiful like a fleeting blossom, only lingering for a few seconds before hastily disappearing. Behind the boy, there was a strong wind following him. Someone was chasing after him.

Helen squinted slightly, a hint of silver coldness shining through her eyes. She pursed her lips and fell into silent contemplation, speculating in her mind. Among the entire vampire clan, perhaps only the one still sleeping could transform themselves into mist to escape.

It seems that, in the midst of a civil war, the vampires disregarded the consequences and insisted on awakening him. However, why did that person intrude into the human world?

Is it true, as Dennis said, that some vampires who have been dormant for thousands of years are no longer willing to be lonely and have openly started to violate the treaty of eternal peace? This would be an extremely dangerous phenomenon.

Although she doesn't want to have any association with that boy right now, she is a bit worried about a young child who hasn't even grown all their teeth sneaking into the human world.

Camilla also guessed the identity of that black smoke and said, "Helen, aren't you going to save him? He must have been caught by hunters, otherwise he wouldn't use his dark abilities to escape in broad daylight. This will attract even more hunters."

"Children do not understand the hardships of life, yet they insist on experiencing them. It has nothing to do with me." Helen snorted coldly, straightened her posture, and sat comfortably on the sofa. She took out a makeup mirror from her leisure bag, fixed her hair neatly, opened a pair of colored contact lenses, and chose a dark purple lens to put into her eyes.

Camilla widened her eyes in astonishment and disbelief, saying, "Really? You have the leisure to dress yourself up now? After all, that person is technically your own family member. If he were to die, you wouldn't benefit from it either."

Helen glanced at Camilla and said, "So if he doesn't die, I'll benefit from it?"

"At least, you won't become a widow..."

As soon as Camilla finished speaking, Helen's gaze turned icy and cold. She immediately fell silent.

"Shut up! If anyone else finds out, I will suck your blood." Helen threatened fiercely. Vampire blood is more delicious than human blood, especially purebred vampires.

"Okay, then you can wait for him to appear on TV. Those Star City police officers have been eagerly hoping for a quick resolution." Camila deliberately said, based on her understanding of Helen, she didn't believe Helen would remain indifferent.

Helen changed her wig and contact lenses, stood up and adjusted her collar, put on sunglasses, and walked outside. She said, "Why are you still sitting? It's time to go."

"Boss, is there a salary?" Camila followed behind Helen and asked with a smile. She knew that the vampire queen wouldn't ignore that young man or refuse to help him."

"It seems that you haven't paid me the rent from yesterday," Helen suddenly remembered, realizing that she was still a creditor now.

"Wait, I take back what I said." Camila touched her nose and chuckled awkwardly, admitting defeat. Although the house was in her name, it would be easy for Helen to take it back if she wanted to.

Helen and Camilla walked out of the shopping mall, hailed a taxi, showed the driver their location on the mobile map, and said, "I want to go here."

"Valley Wild Chicken Farm? That's in the outskirts." The driver stepped on the gas pedal and headed towards the western suburbs of Star City.
