Chapter 39 - Turn the tables

Queen Verlina didn't expect Sullivan to threaten her with such an excuse of tarnishing her son, Ainsley's reputation. She snickered and said, "Do whatever you want to! Do you think I'll get scared of you? Don't you know even your father hates the very existence of you? I think you should get ready to take the blame for Dahlia's death," she pronounced.

Sullivan laughed at her words and it shocked Queen Verlina.

"Hare dare you laugh before the Queen?" Verlina shouted while clutching the bolster tightly in her hold.

"Father still loves my mother. Do you think I'm alive because of your mercy? No! I'm alive till this date because of my father's love for my late mother. You have left me with no choice, Your Majesty. When Ainsley begs and cry before you, make sure to tell him that you were the one, who destroyed his life!" Sullivan retorted with a dark gaze.
