Chapter 56 - Cost you the throne

King Iramo placed his signature on the document before pressing the royal seal beside it, handing it back to Daedric, who had been waiting patiently.

"Thank you, Father. I'll send this order to the border immediately, so the fortification work can begin," Daedric said, readying himself to leave.

"Wait a moment, if the Crown Prince isn't in too much of a hurry," King Iramo interjected.

Daedric hesitated, sensing his father had more to say. "Of course, Father," he replied, though his tone was wary. He sat down as the King gestured toward the empty chair.

King Iramo glanced at the valet stationed nearby, who bowed and swiftly exited the room, signaling for the two maidservants to follow him, leaving the King and his son alone in the chamber.
