Chapter 115 - The Attack

As Sullivan and Dahlia stepped out of the guesthouse early that morning, they were greeted by Arthur, who appeared surprised. "Leaving already?" he asked, his brows arching in curiosity. "I thought you were here for trade, Sully."

Sullivan shook his head. "No, Arthur. This was just a brief escape from our usual lives—a short visit to this town." His voice was calm, though his gaze remained cautious.

Arthur nodded thoughtfully. "I see. Well, I hope our paths cross again soon," he replied, stepping aside to let them pass. Sullivan and Dahlia offered a polite nod before walking past him, quickly disappearing from view.

Arthur watched them go, his expression hardening once they were out of sight. "Why are they leaving in such a hurry? I'll need to send someone after them before they cross the border," he muttered to himself before turning back inside the rest house.
