Dahlia leaned back in her chair, gently patting her full belly, a satisfied smile spreading across her face. "Now I feel much better," she said, her expression softening with relief.

Sullivan, with his usual calm demeanor, placed a few coins on the table to settle the bill. He rose from his seat, motioning for her to follow. "Let's head to the rest house," he said, his voice steady but carrying a subtle urgency.

Without hesitation, Dahlia stood up, her energy renewed after the hearty meal. She quickly reached for Sullivan's arm, clutching it with a playful familiarity as they walked toward the door. Leaning in slightly, he whispered, "Don't cling to me like that."

She raised an eyebrow and smirked. "You said we needed to act like a lovely couple, didn't you?"

"Yes, I did," he replied, glancing at her from the corner of his eye. His tone was firm but with a trace of amusement. "Do you remember your promise to me?"
