Once it got dark and all the counselors were asleep, the campers got out of bed, put on their jackets and shoes, and returned to the graveyard. Once they got there, they all looked around for Harold with their flashlights. While they were looking around, a hand reached out from underground and grabbed Lindsay's ankle. Lindsay screamed when she felt the hand on her ankle, and Duncan smacked it off. Then, a zombie that looked like the camp founder crawled out of the ground, and the kids screamed and ran for their lives while the zombie chased them. Then they ran out of the cemetery screaming and ran back to camp.
The gusty wind blew on their way back to camp, and they shielded themselves. Then they started to hear howling. Lindsay said, "What's that?" Cody said, "Nothing. Probably just a coyote." Then, the werewolf they saw a few nights ago showed up because he smelled the kids' scent. Once they saw the werewolf, the kids hid in trees so the werewolf wouldn't find them. The werewolf sniffed around for them because he could still smell their scent. The werewolf followed the kids' scents to the trees, looked up, and saw the kids in the trees. Then he growled at them, grabbed the tree they were in, and climbed after the kids. Gwen kicked the werewolf off the branch he was on, and he fell into the river. Gwen said, "Well, that takes care of him." After they lost the werewolf, the kids all slept in the tree they were in for the night.
Once they woke up, they all jumped down from the trees and saw the werewolf was gone. Ben said, "OK, I do not know how raccoons sleep in trees." Luke said, "They must have their way of survival." Then, the campers heard the counselors shouting their names because when they woke up this morning, they saw the kids weren't in the mess hall for breakfast or sleeping in their cabins. Once they found them, they saw the campers stretching out in the woods since they slept in trees. Lina said, "Thank goodness we found you guys." Tina said, "Yeah, we went for a late-night stroll, ran into a zombie and a werewolf, and ended up sleeping in the woods." Marcia said, "Oh my." The campers and counselors walked back to camp together and didn't see any ghosts or monsters on the way.
Once they returned to camp, the campers and counselors all sat down for breakfast and were served pancakes. Once they finished breakfast, they all went ziplining with another counselor named Carter. Carter strapped Lindsay onto the cable first, and then she jumped off the ledge and ziplined back down to the ground. Carter strapped the twins in next; Sally jumped first, and Susan jumped second. Then, they both slid down the zipline and back to the bottom. Carter strapped Gwen in next, and then Gwen jumped off the ledge, slid down the zipline, and made it to the bottom with the others. Carter strapped Luke in next, and once he did, Luke jumped off the ledge and slid down the zipline to the bottom. Carter strapped Timmy in next, and once he did, Timmy jumped off the side, slid down the zipline, and made it to the bottom with the others. Tina was next to go down the zipline. Once Carter strapped her in, she jumped off the ledge and slid down the zipline to the bottom. Carter strapped Cody in next. Once strapped in, Cody jumped off the side, slid down the zipline, and reached the bottom with the others. Chris was the next one to go down the zipline. Once strapped in, he jumped off the ledge, slid down the zipline, and reached the bottom. Carter strapped Duncan in next. Once strapped in, Duncan jumped off the side and slid down the zipline, and the others caught him when he got to the bottom. Ben was the last one to jump. Once he did, he slid down the zipline, and the others caught him when he reached the bottom. Once Ben reached the bottom, Carter strapped himself in, jumped off the ledge, and slid down with the others. Carter said, "Well done, everybody. Now, let's return to camp; lunch should be ready." Carter walked all the campers back to camp and ensured they didn't run into anything.
Once they returned to camp, the campers and counselors all sat down for lunch. While eating, Tina looked at one of the paintings on the wall, which winked at her. Tina tapped Ben on his arm and said, "Did you see that?" Ben said, "See what?" Tina pointed at the painting that winked at her and said, "That painting just winked at me." Ben looked at the picture she was pointing at and saw it was just a portrait of one of the counselors who made it as counselor of the year. Ben said, "Well, it looks ordinary now." Susan couldn't eat because she was too confused about the case.
The mess hall started to fill with shimmering lights, and all the campers and counselors began to get confused. Then they started to hear laughing, and fog entered the room from under the door. Ben said, "Ghost fog." The mist spread throughout the room and across the campers' and counselors' feet. Then the wind blew the mess hall doors open, and a sheeted ghost flew into the room. Then, the campers and counselors screamed in terror when they saw the ghost and hid underneath the tables. They watched the spirit float all over the mess hall and look for people inside it. Duncan took a deep breath and said, "That was close." Tina started to get scared when she saw the ghost again. Tina whispered, "It's coming back, quiet." Then Duncan and Tina watched the spirit float by, leave the mess hall, and make the doors close and lock by themselves. All the campers and counselors said simultaneously, "Let's get out of here!" All the campers and counselors ran for the door, but then Sally ran into some green gunk and started to panic because she couldn't move. Susan said, "What are you doing?" Sally said, "I can't move; my feet got stuck." Susan got aggravated because Sally was stuck and ran up to her. Then Susan grabbed Sally and pulled her out of the gunk. Then they all ran for the door, but when Chris tried to open it, he found it locked. Chris said, "It's locked." Then they all saw a shadow in the window and figured the sheeted ghost was coming back, so the campers hid in the kitchen while the counselors hid underneath the tables in the mess hall.
While the kids were in the kitchen, they saw a door they could hide behind. Once they did, Cody opened the door, and a bunch of bats flew out. Then the kids screamed while the bats flew by them. Then, the bats chased them out of the kitchen and the mess hall. When the ghost in the mess hall saw them running and screaming, he chased after the campers, too. The campers returned to their cabins, and the spirit flew right by them. Once the campers saw the ghost's shadow fly by, they all took a deep breath and emerged from hiding. Ben said, "That was close."
