Ivy
Two months later...
The living room blurred around me as I paced back and forth, my heart pounding in my chest. My hand rested on the curve of my swollen belly, feeling the life inside of me shift and kick.
"Aidan," I said, my voice shaky with fear, "I'm scared about the due date. What if something goes wrong? What if I can't do this?"
He looked at me and narrowed my eyes. I could see the worry etched onto his face, but he tried to hide it behind a reassuring smile. "Ivy, you've got this," he replied.
Of course, he was so positive. He wasn't the one pushing a whole human out of her vagina!
My breathing hitched, and I couldn't help but feel a wave of doubt wash over me. I knew Aidan wanted to support me, but the thought of bringing our child into the world was utterly terrifying.
