I felt like I couldn't breathe as I waited for my parents to arrive.
I felt emotional earlier and asked Aidan to invite them, but now that they were actually coming, I didn't know how to feel.
I had been keeping everything from my parents since I moved in with Aidan. I lied to them constantly when they asked for my whereabouts. They had no idea I was pregnant! And now they will be here and the truth will come out.

I watched the clock tick, each second feeling like an eternity as I waited for my parents to arrive. My nerves were on edge, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of suffocation.
But I couldn't keep living a lie. I didn't want to hide my pregnancy and relationship with Aidan anymore, and I wanted my parents to know the truth about my life.
The sound of the doorbell pulled me out of my thoughts, and I took a deep breath.
