Chapter 47 - Trouble Ends

The Devil-Cry saw the darkened look on Clark's face making him even more satisfied by his revealing truth, his satisfaction didn't last more than a few passing seconds, and the grin he once had proudly turned to a grave expression.

That look… It seems that this guy is getting much more serious now. However, it's not that bad.

The Devil-Cry blinked his eyes knowing that even a blink would cause him to lose sight of his enemy, but it was just a mistake that he had made. Taking this opportunity, Clark dashed at the Devil-Cry although his initial step was to attack from behind the pattern of attacking this way already seemed to be predictable.

"Tsk… already coming at me without any warning"

Clark moved his sword at the Devil-Cry with full killing intent, seeing how the sword was approaching, the Devil-Cry threw his sword at him.

Cleng…

That was what Clark wanted to happen, the sword coming in contact with each other caused the sound, however, the dragon slayer slid down to the handle side from where Devil-Cry was holding his sword.

What's the point of this? It's gonna be blocked anyways…

The devil-cry didn't catch up to what was coming, his mind only relied on just striking but not thinking of what future attack would be. His face turned groan when he got what was about to happen next although it was a little late to take encounter action.

Clark pulls his sword blade down, releasing the touch between both swords because this Devil-Cry balance was a little off.

"Tsk…" I will have a chance to strike directly if not then his sword will f**k me up.

The devil-cry tried to condemn Clark as he darted at him, straightening his sword aimed at his head. Despite that, Clark saw it all that an edge of the sword was coming at him while his sword which he pulled down was moving down.

The unruffled Clark didn't even budge about the coming strike rather something else confronted the sword, 'cleng' came from the clash however this time it wasn't Clark dragon slayer that clashed with Devil-Cry.

"What—you had another sword"

Devil-cry felt astonished seeing a sword without an owner encountering him like an invisible person fighting him with a visible sword.

Stab…

Seeing the sword out of the way, Clark's falling sword was pushed forth and up into the rib of the Devil-Cry since they were close in strike.

"Kagh"

"There's more If you want some since I haven't finished. What you deserve isn't a light dead but the whole hell"

Once Clark finished, he pushed the sword deeper into the skin, the blood came out from the stabbed place as the sword went deeper. "Argh". Devil-cry felt pain with a suffering expression set on his face. Not only that but anger was bursting inside.

Clark gives a little grin causing that anger to burst hard like an erupting volcano, "You son of a— don't think that piercing my heart will kill me, you need to be a man to kill me"

He pulled his black sword away from the other sword and aimed at Clark once more without paying any attention to the advantages Clark was having like a person blinded by anger.

"Take this you f—"

He swung his sword well, though what surprised him was the sound of something shattering, his eyes widened in shock when he took a look at the sword he was holding.

"Say that again, you're nothing against me if you keep on fighting me like this, kid"

The other sword annihilated the black blade and stunned the Devil-Cry. His frustration got the best of him and he threw away the last remaining part of the sword he was holding and made a fist with his hand.

"Who cares if the sword is gone, my fist is still here"

"Too bad you wouldn't be able to hit me, I don't see anything there"

The moment Devil-Cry sent his fist to Clark, the hand at the end went off from the arm and began to descend to the ground. Only the arm remained with no hand attached except bleeding.

Even the fist thrown at Clark didn't reach him, "..Clark removed his sword from the body of the Devil-Cry causing a heavy pain to him.

"Eik"

On the other hand, Clark grabbed the Devil-Cry by the neck, as he suffocated the Devil-Cry mercilessly.

"Ha. Ha," the devil-cry laughed.

"This wouldn't kill me, what kind of a fool you are to think I would need oxygen to survive"

"That means I will have to stab you many times"

"Stab–?"

"Argh"

The devil was stabbed from the back several times with multiple swords that appeared out of nowhere. It was unexpected for the Devil-Cry to not think it through at all, all this time.

"Even having this much power, you do behave like a crazy eleven-year-old " Clark sneered like how the devil-cry did before.

The Devil-Cry was struck by many swords however, it wasn't a problem for him as his strength was still top-notch even after being stabbed he wasn't afraid at all nor any pale expression on his face but rather just a rough smile.

"I might be weaker than you but that doesn't mean you can do anything about what has happened— ha, ha, ha" the Devil-Cry laughed. "It was fun killing them, torturing them every single day until they started begging me to kill them"

Clark grabbed the handle tighter causing it to tremble, it was a clear sign of an irresistible anger, and even the grip on the neck got tighter.

"feel the anger, feel it as much as you want but you can't do anything about it"

Sigh…

Clark took a sigh and lighted his grip on the sword. His darkened look showed calmness which startled the villain who thought that Clark would cut off his head.

The villain didn't seem to fear death carrying it as a joke, however, Clark had another plan for this guy.

"I see, you are truly a chaotic person who enjoys killing people that much."

"Oh… are you trying to understand me?"

"Yes, now I will also be a little like you"

"Really?"

When the devil-cry said really, he felt an unendurable pain of sudden, "What's this!! Argh!!", something was happening to him as his body glowed bright like something was sucking energy out of him.

"I had figured this little bit out, the reason that you can't die easily is because of the continuous supply of energy in your body" Although the main source where this energy remained unknown, "why not just suck this energy out of you with a method that makes one feel like his soul is being sucked out"

"Hey–stop this" the Devil-Cry surprisingly begged, which was a little unexpected for Clark who had anticipated that he wouldn't be an easy beggar like that.

The Devil-Cry fell to the ground from the sky as Clark released his grip, 'thud' and his strength began to reduce but also kept increasing back but each time he got more energy the more it got sucked inside the sword that was stabbed at his back.

With this sucking, he felt tremendous pain that was unbearable even for the crazy devil.

"Stop this!"

The pain wouldn't end until all the energy was absorbed by the sword.

[You have gained energy]

[Your energy is increasing rapidly]

"I wonder how much energy does he have"

[I believe it to be more but the correct measure is unknown since the energy he's getting isn't his own but someone else]

"Did he get blessed?"

Clark landed on the ground and shifted his eyes at the hell-fair who seemed to be clueless with what reason Clark was looking at him. The hell-fair kept on smiling and waved a little hand to Clark.

"I think that guy is behind him"

[Yes, I believe so too that's why he knew about him too]

"It wouldn't be long since he will die from being energy sucked it's not like he will get unlimited energy"

[Correct, energy is being drained at a faster rate than energy entering]

Clark had a moment that he should cut off the devil's head but previously the way that Devil-Cry didn't care about his head being cut off made Clark realise letting his energy drain this way would be a better way to kill him than the other method.

It's more painful and better, now that this annoying child problem has settled, Clark moved with many steps towards the hell-fair who also noticed the approaching Clark, with a grin on the Hell-fair face.

"Is it my turn now?"

"Who knows that depends on your actions"

"Right, I didn't want to fight you know"

"Then answer what I want to know"

"Isn't it about what's inside the box"

Clark pausing once he came close enough, his stunned expression and a little wide eyes could tell the unpredictable thing he just heard.
