However, …
they held on to their grounds tight enough as the injuries that they received weren't a deal for them. Once more, their mouths were lit up as the fire inside was charged waiting for itself to be thrown out. The dragons blasted out the fire, unfortunately.
it took them long enough, Leon with his clones could see the upcoming enemy attack with ease. The clones dashed aside before they could come in contact with high-temperature flames which could melt them in seconds.
on the other hand, Leon the original kept his ground, he wasn't afraid to face the flames head-on. A grin came to his face before inhaling to fill his mouth with air. A mere second containing the cold air in mouth after that single digit passes by.
Leon forcefully exhaled the inside air out; the air formed its path to come in touch with the approaching flame. the flame of the dragon was dismissed. the fire couldn't take a further step due to the air becoming a wall for it.
Dragon nor Leon could continuously expel air and fire. Just like how a person can inhale and exhale a limited amount, the fire inside a dragon works similarly to a human process of respiration except for the part of inhaling.
A dragon can breathe out a certain amount afterward he has to wait patiently for a recharge until the only thing that remains is the use of physical power.
Leon no longer exhales air any further it goes for the dragon too. Once the contained air inside Leon finished, he dashed towards the dragon. on the opposite side, the dragon aware of the fast approach of his enemy closed his mouth.
forming a tight fist with his three fingers, he was inclined to strike his fist. Leon had a similar thought to attack the giant with a fist.
when Leon came on the radar of the dragon, a range where his arm's length was available to reach out to Leon. The giant lizard, quick with his move threw an energetic punch.
"Face my strength human!"
smirking but unfazed Leon replied, "Ah… small hand, isn't it?" His tone mocked the dragon.
Clash…
Leon's fist clashed with the giant's fist, although given how the giant had a large hand didn't give him any sort of advantage. the impact of the clash from each side was equal.
"Your cocky but the strength of yours is impressive." the dragon felt impressed by the display of the strength of the human. however, it wasn't enough to take down a massive lizard in a single hit.
"Keep your praise to yourself… I didn't feel like wasting my waste against a weak punch of yours."
Leon was set to display his arrogances against the beast in order to provoke him, what Leon had in his mind was a mystery. it may be a way to make the beast let go of his sense of attack.
in a simple way, to create several openings by driving the beast into a fury, one must make his enemy let go of his guard. it's a first formula tactic.
"Make the enemy's calmness fade away and the anger blinds him from all sides."
"You arrogant human, I will teach you a lesson for everything you have said to me" Finally he was in rage, however… there was trouble for Leon, causing the dragon to become furious boosted the strength of the beast.
"…"
Leon's hand was being pushed back bit by bit. the hand wasn't the only thing that was being pushed, Leon himself was moved back.
"Now face my power!" the dragon said with a little louder tone, heat waves radiating from his body. there was no rise in his body temperature which was already high enough to melt down an average living being.
it met nothing to Leon, whose job of distraction was completed. "Got you right on hands."
A clone of Leon emerged with a copy of Dragon Slayer, his gaze with the aim set on the back of the neck which was the beast's weakness.
if the aim is right on the calculated area, and the strike damages the specific place which is somewhere on the neck can make the dragon paralyzed for a period of time.
what the clone is supposed to do is locate and strike. the dragon distracted by Leon didn't have the time to cease the ongoing clash to put a stop to the attack from behind. The act to notice was momentarily late for the Fire-breather…
if he were to pause his fight with the original Leon then the fate to be successfully attacked from one side was certainly high…
D*mn this human… But no… I must think quick…
Woosh…
the sword was forcefully thrown from the clone's hand, the speed was so that the dragon had no chance to avoid it except to use his long tail…
with the quick shift of the tail from its place to the front where the sword was heading, the dragon had some level of possibility that his tail would slow down and stop the sword, nevertheless… he got himself fooled with no realization what the sword was made out of…
Slice…
the tail where the sword made its contact was sliced, and the disconnected part fell down. Thud… crashed down to the ground after a couple of times…
but before that, the giant was in severe pain from the tail side, "You…" his voice was deep… "I have shown enough mercy…" tone of threatening, filled with anger and pain.
Leon was unruffled by the threatening tone of the monster; Rather was amused to see the suffering from the inner site.
"I have heard so many bluffing words from you, yet none of your actions showed me any worth."
"Look around…" Leon instructed the dragon.
with the change of his iris and then his face, he was dazed with disbelief his fellow dragons had already fallen into the hands of clones… not even the real Leon.
"How can this be?" his eyes were filled with incredulity.
The mighty and Prideful Party of the dragons had failed to defeat a tiny opponent, which was the reason for their downfall in this battle. Believing that their strength could end anything that faced them, however, this had blinded their analysis process. In other words, Learning about the enemy's potential…
"What now pal? Wanna cry about your teammates defeat?"
silence it was for a couple of minutes, the dragon's gaze was locked on the scene of his defeated comrades. his attention from Leon wasn't mattering at this moment.
"Alright… I will show you what you, for so long waited for…"
"My true Form"
