Unfortunately, this story will be going on hiatus for an indefinite period of time. This is due to several reasons, the primary reason being my dissatisfaction with the story as it is. It is too dour without good reason, and has too many flaws for me to ignore. This has led to a lack of motivation to work on it. Secondly, I have had to reevaluate my plans for future events in the story, as my original plans had many flaws I grew to notice more and more of. Thirdly, I have generally been burnt out from dealing with real life responsibilities. Fourthly, I feel like TransWaifu is a story that, in many ways, I wrote the way I did to try and catch attention and please my readers, rather than writing it to simply be a story I myself would enjoy reading. TransWaifu lacks the necessary degree of self-indulgence a writer needs to add to their work to keep themselves interested in it. This all culminated in my decision to enact this hiatus.
I don't plan for this hiatus to last forever, especially given I spent half a year planning out this story before I started writing and posting it. Someday I will either continue this story from where I left off, or reboot it. Until then, I am planning out and will begin posting a new story utilizing the lessons this experience has taught me. I hope that those of you reading this will keep an eye on my profiles online for when my new series debuts.
As this is a perfect time to do so, I would encourage you all to give me any constructive criticism you have. You don't have to be nice or even truly constructive. I want to improve, and criticism is necessary for that. I want to know all the areas I need to improve in. Positive feedback about specific areas I show strength in would also be useful.
I thank all my readers for any time you gave to reading my story. It means the world to me that anyone would give my creations the time of day. I can't even find the words for how deeply thankful I am. I suppose that shows I still have a ways to go as a writer.
