When the second inning started, The Boys' Team ran into the field, and Raven called her batters up to the plate one at a time. Raven said, "Alexis, you're first." Alexis grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Once she did, Joe pitched the ball, and Alexis hit it back to Joe, but he didn't catch it, so Alexis ran for first. Then Joe threw the ball to Alex on first base and grabbed it before Alexis made it to first. The referee said, "You're out." Alexis returned to her Team, and Raven called her next batter up. Raven said, "Ruby, you're up." Ruby grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Joe pitched the ball, and Thomas caught it. The referee said, "Ball 1." Thomas threw the ball back to Joe, and he grabbed it. Then Joe pitched the ball, and Ruby hit it to Chris in left field, but he didn't catch it. Ruby ran for first, and Chris picked up the ball and threw it to Alex on first base, but Alex didn't catch it. Then Ruby made it to first and ran for second. Alex picked up the ball and tried to get Ruby out by throwing the ball to David on second, but he missed. Then Ruby made it to second and ran for third. David picked up the ball and threw it to Daniel on third, but he didn't catch it. Ruby made it to third and ran for home base.
Joseph shouted, "Come on, Daniel. Just throw it to Tom, and you can get Ruby out." Daniel threw the ball to Thomas at Homeplate, but Thomas didn't catch the ball, and Ruby scored. Raven said, "We scored, yes. Angelica, you're up." Angelica grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Then Thomas threw the ball to Joe, but he didn't catch it. Then Joe picked the ball up and pitched it. Once he did, Angelica hit it to Joseph in the right field, and it landed in his glove. The referee said, "You're out." Angelica returned to her Team, and Joseph threw the ball back to Joe, but he didn't catch it. Raven said, "Meena, you're up." Meena grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Once she did, Joe pitched the ball, and Thomas caught it. The referee said, "Ball 1."
Thomas threw the ball back to Joe, and Joe caught it. Joe pitched the ball, and Meena hit it to Daniel on third, and he grabbed it. The referee said, "Three outs. The Boys Team are up." Raven said, "Alexis, you're the pitcher. Sheree, you're the umpire. Carolyn, you're on first. Meena, you're on second. Evelyn, you're on third. I'll be in the left field. Ruby, you're in the center field. And Paige, you're in the right field. The Girls' Team then ran into the field, and Joseph called his batters up to the plate individually. Joseph said, "Alex, you're first." Alex grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Alexis pitched the ball, and Alex hit it out of the park. The referee shouted, "Home Run!" Alex then ran around the bases and scored his Team their first point for the inning. Joseph said, "I'll go next." Alexis left and got a new ball. Then she returned to the pitcher's mound and pitched the ball to Joseph. Joseph hit the ball to Carolyn on first base, and she caught it. The referee said, "You're out."
Carolyn threw the ball back to Alexis, and she caught it. Joseph said, "Harold, you're up." Harold grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Alexis pitched the ball, and Harold hit it to Raven in the left field, but she didn't catch it. Then Harold ran for first base, made it, and ran for second. Raven picked up the ball and threw it to Meena on second, but Harold made it to second base before Meena caught the ball. Meena then grabbed the ball and threw it back to Alexis while Harold stayed on second base, and the ball landed in Alexis' glove. Joseph said, "Chase, you're up." Chase grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Then Alexis pitched the ball, and Chase hit it out of the park. Then Harold made it to home base, and Chase ran around the whole field, scoring them two points on the board, giving them three for the inning, and putting themselves in the lead by one run. Joseph said, "Yes, we have the lead. Alex, you're next."
Alex grabbed a bat and stepped to the plate while Alexis got another ball. Once she did, she returned to the pitcher's mound and pitched the ball. Once she did, Alex hit the ball to Raven in the left field, but she didn't catch it. Then Alex ran for first base, made it, and stayed there. Joseph said, "Yes. Chris, you're up." Chris grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Then Raven threw the ball back to Alexis, but Alexis missed. Then Alexis picked up the ball and pitched it. Once she did, Chris hit past the left foul line. The referee shouted, "Foul! Strike 1!" Evelyn got the ball and threw it back to Alexis, but she didn't catch it. Then Alexis pitched the ball, and Chris hit it out of the park.
Alex and Chris ran around the whole field and scored two more points. Raven said, "Great. Now they have twice as many runs as we do." Raven shouted, "Come on, everybody, let's get them out." Joseph said, "Highly unlikely. We scored three home runs and are up 6 to 3." Raven said, "We're only down by three runs." Joseph said, "Yeah, well, you only have one out, and David is up." David grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Then Alexis pitched the ball, and David hit it to first base. Carolyn then caught the ball and got David out. The referee said, "You're out!" David walked back to his Team. Joseph said, "Jacob, you're up and try not to get out." Jacob grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate. Then Carolyn threw the ball back to Alexis, but Alexis didn't catch it. Then she pitched the ball, but Sheree missed. The referee said, "Ball 1." Sheree threw the ball back to Alexis, but she didn't catch it. Joseph said, "You're a pretty lousy catch." Alexis picked up the ball and pitched it at Jacob, but Sheree didn't catch the ball. The referee said, "Ball 2." Sheree tossed Alexis the ball, but she missed. Alexis picked the ball up and pitched it. Then Jacob hit it to second base and ran to first. Meena tried to catch the ball, but she missed. Once Jacob made it to first base, he stayed there, and Meena threw the ball back to Alexis, and she caught it. Joseph said, "Tyree, you're up." Tyree grabbed a bat and stepped up to the plate.
Alexis pitched the ball and hit it past the left foul line. The referee shouted, "Foul! Strike 1" Sheree threw the ball back to Alexis, and she caught it. Alexis then threw the ball, but Sheree missed it. The referee said, "Ball 1." Sheree threw the ball back to Alexis, but she missed. Alexis threw the ball again, but she didn't catch it. The referee said, "Ball 2." Sheree threw the ball back to Alexis, but she missed. Then she pitched the ball, Tyree hit it to left field, and Raven caught it. The referee said, "Three outs. The girls are up." Joseph said, "Thomas, you pitch. Chase, you're the umpire. Chris, you're on first. Daniel, you're on second. Harold, you're on third. Alex, you're in the left field. Matthew, you play center field. And Joe, you're in the right field."
