The Theory
"Here's your change, 700 yen," said a young teenage girl, smiling at the shop customers as they walked out carrying their groceries. The customer was quite an old lady, so the girl positioned herself slightly, ready to catch her in case she stumbled. But it seemed the old lady still had some fight left in her bones.
Usually, someone her age would be in high school, studying and hanging out with friends, not working at a minimarket. However, this girl wasn't skipping school; she had dropped out due to urgent economic conditions. Moreover, both of her parents had passed away several months ago. Despite this, she was determined to earn money. In a few months, she would have graduated from high school and received her diploma.
But now, at just 17 years old, Ijichi Miyoko was responsible for paying bills and taxes. She also took care of her little brother, who had recently turned 10. School supplies were expensive, and she needed to buy new uniforms and shoes for her growing brother.
It had been an exhausting month for her. The weight of responsibility pressed down on her young shoulders, and the minimarket became her refuge—a place where she could momentarily forget her struggles. As she stood behind the counter, counting change and offering smiles, she wondered if life would ever ease its grip on her. She vowed to keep going, even when the days blurred into nights, and fatigue threatened to consume her.
But, luckily today had been a slow day; not many customers came during the girl's afternoon shift. That mean she's can take a short break. After restocking some products on the shelves, cleaning others, and mopping the floor, the girl decided to take a nap.
Not long after 30 minutes passed, Miyoko's ears heard a familiar voice.
"-. Welcome!"
The sound of the Opening Bell Door of the iconic 7-Eleven woke her up suddenly from her little nap, and she automatically gave a respectful greeting to the store's customers. She saw two customers entering the store, one old man who looked like her next-door neighbor's grandpa and a man wearing an office suit.
Between the two customers, Miyoko's gaze fell on the man wearing the office suit. The facial appearance of the man was a little different from Japanese men in general (maybe he's Chinese or Korean), and from the looks of it, the man was around 25 to 30 years old and very tall.
The man seemed to just look at her for a second and then continued ignoring her welcoming, continuing to look for products around the aisle he wanted to buy. Miyoko wasn't offended by the male consumer's behavior. In her opinion, it was a very normal and common thing. From his appearance, the man could be an office employee on his lunch break and didn't want to be disturbed by others.
She said, "Next in line," in a bored tone. She was really tired and just wanted to go back to taking a nap because her headache didn't quite stop. She had been working all night at her part-time job and had barely slept before her morning shift started. The lack of sleep was starting to catch up with her, and she felt like she was running on fumes. She had been trying to stay awake, but her eyes kept closing, and she would drift off into a light sleep whenever she had a moment to herself.
"Anything else, Sir?"
"Hm, I take five boxes of this type of cigarettes," said the male customer as he handed Miyoko an empty box of cigarettes.
"I'm so sorry, sir. It seems we are out of stock of that type of brand. Do you want one from another brand?"
"...alright, just give me 5 boxes, also matches,"
"Is this all your items?"
"Hn,"
"Alright, then your total purchase is 1250 yen. Do you want cash or credit?"
"Cash, fuck everything is so goddamn expensive these days," said the man muttering to himself, and Miyoko just silently agreed in her mind about that. After she packed the man's groceries into a plastic bag, she gave him the change.
"Here is your change, Sir-...!"
Just before he handed the man his own money, the man suddenly gave back the groceries he had just bought a couple of seconds ago right into her hand.
"You can keep the change! But make sure to watch over my stuff. I will be right back!" Before Miyoko could reply to the man, he was seen running out of the shop in a hurry, as if being chased by a ghost or wild animal, while Miyoko herself was just contemplating what had just happened and what made the man just suddenly act like that.
'Maybe the man has a stomach ache and needs to go to the toilet,' thought Miyoko optimistically. She also didn't forget to put the man's groceries under the cashier's desk to make it safer.
The time on the wall clock showed 14:30 (half past 3 in the afternoon), and there were still around 5 hours before 19:00 (7 pm), before her afternoon shift was finished and she continued her other part-time job at night.
So, Miyoko decided to return to dreamland, which might be able to relieve the headache she was experiencing. She was exhausted, and all she wanted was a few more hours of sleep to recharge.

...
Tanaka Ryouka really regrets the decision she made a few days ago. She's not supposed to take this job at all. She should just find a job near her home city rather than wandering out of her hometown to look for work that can cover her little brother's hospital bills.
Now she's become a maid. A personal handmaid to be precise. She is now a handmaid to one of the most obnoxious and weirdest 11-year-old brats she's ever met in her 18 years of life.
I mean, who's right mind would give an 11-year-old a room that looks like a Star Wars movie set?!
There are five different brand new computers and five TVs and other electronic stuff inside this room! Seriously, this is like a rich person's problem. She can't relate to it at all.
"Oi, woman, massage the soles of my feet and feed me that cheese cake. Come on, chop-chop," said Gojo Satoru as he put his feet on the table.
In her heart, Ryouka grumbled, but she still obeyed the orders given to her by Young Master Gojo. She slowly massaged the soles of the 11-year-old kid's feet. Only after that did she take the cheese cake, which was her own personal creation, and slowly fed it to Young Master Gojo.
She really regretted accidentally telling Young Master Gojo that the one who made the dessert he had been eating for the past few days was Ryouka, so she was now appointed as a permanent handmaid and personal chef for Young Master Gojo. Which means she has to work 24/7, always near him at all times.
Yeah, it's not fun time for her at all.
While feeding Young Master Gojo, Ryouka glanced occasionally to see what Young Master Gojo was writing in a book in his hand. It looked like a very complicated math equation.
Without Ryouka realizing it, Satoru was well aware that Ryouka was glancing at the book he was writing. Satoru didn't feel too worried about his newest handmaid's behavior, because the number one reason is Satoru has already investigated the origins of his newest handmaid and found zero ties to the Elder of Gojo clan or Any Other Clans.
His newest handmaid is purely a non-jujutsu sorcerer who somehow got in to work at Gojo Clan was purely by accident and not at all planned or someone from the Gojo Clan elders recommended her. This is something that is unusual for the Gojo clan, where they will accept just anyone who wants to apply for a job as a servant in the Gojo Clan. Moreover, someone from non-jujutsu sorcerer descent and has an appearance similar to a gaijin (foreigner) .
Usually they are very reluctant to accept such criteria, because most of the servants who serve are not only those from the Gojo Clan, but the three largest Jujutsu Clans in Japan, including the Gojo Clan, will always want to look for subordinates who are also equal to them. So usually the servants employed by the three big clans, usually have indirect descendants with the clans in Jujutsu.
Mainly the bastard children that are born out of wedlock that have blood of the clans will usually be raised within the clan, so that when they grow up they will be made into a maid if it's a girl, or become a Gardener if it's a boy. And if you are lucky enough to be born with decent cursed energy inside of you, the boy will become a guard while the girl is probably becoming a mistress to produce more future jujutsu sorcerers.
Actually, Satoru's initial plan was to behave like this to reduce the presence of maids in his clan. According to him personally, many of them are acting so goddamn overbearing, stuck up two-faced bitch, and probably working as a double agent for another Clan just to spy on him.
Beside with not so many maids lingering around the clan mansion. At least right now, Satoru can feel a little more relieved to carry out this research, without feeling afraid that it will be leaked or known by the Elders of Jujutsu and with at least fewer young maids, this way the Elders will at least not produce another batch of Bastards into the Clan.
Apart from that, the Elders of the Gojo clan are reluctant to go outside their safe little bubble. Because leaving the estate meaning the Elders will passed by non-sorceres community along the way and they hate non-sorceres. They're had this old belief that non-sorceres are below their caste. Let alone having sex with non-Sorcerer whores. They're probably gonna die from the heart attack.
So it's understandable that to satisfy their desires, usually young maids who work in the Clan will be randomly selected to " help" satisfy their sexual desires.
How does Satoru know this?
His six eyes also have the ability to see everything around 5 km distance he's standing. Sometimes he even thinks of bleaching his own eyes to be blind, so he cannot see the hidden old dicks of elders trying to deflower some virgin maids.
Besides right now, he has more important things to discover Like, how the hell there is energy that can have different lengths of waves than the ones produced by cursed energy or negative energy!
How is Satoru so sure this energy has different waves than cursed or negative energy in everyday life?
Well, he sees it with his six eyes. Right before the energy emits its radiance light at his last fight with Naoya, he accidentally glimpses a different wave length on the northern region of the Sky.
Usually, the wave lengths emitted by cursed energy or negative energy sometimes emit occasional wave lengths that are similar to ultrasonic sound waves, which are usually used by animals to detect surrounding objects, like bats or dolphins. Therefore, why is it that cursed spirits that don't even have a sense of sight can pounce on someone right on target by detecting the cursed energy inside their prey using ultrasonic waves.
Just like what a sorcerer who doesn't have six eyes like Satoru does, they can detect abnormally cursed energy or the presence of cursed spirits around them by emitting the cursed energy in their body to the surrounding area so similar like a bat using ultrasonic waves.
Apart from that, this is also the reason why cursed spirits never reproduce outside of planet Earth because in the end, cursed spirits need negative and cursed energy to survive, which can only be produced by humans, and in this case, the cause doesn't exist or not. That is why reason, Cursed spirits will never come down from outer space to Earth due to someone who has a phobia of extraterrestrial creatures like aliens or objects.
After drawing according to his memory the length of the waves he saw, Satoru then compared it with the picture of the length of the waves produced by cursed energy and negative energy. And it's so completely different from each other!
The wavelengths produced by cursed energy and negative energy are similar to waves in the ocean, while the wavelengths produced by the strange energy that Satoru saw have a much higher frequency and are much closer together than the waves produced by cursed or negative energy.
It's a reminder of waves.... Ah shit! even though it was on the tip of his tongue, but Satoru forgot! Damn, his overworking brain! Why did it forget in this crucial time!.
" Oi, woman," said Satoru to Ryouka, who was now back massaging the soles of his feet. Ryouka, who heard Young Master Gojo's harsh call, took a deep breath and let it out to control her emotions so as not to hit the head of the boy in front of her.
"What's wrong, Young Master Gojo? How can I help?" Suddenly Young Master Gojo handed Ryouka a book containing scribbled drawings.
"What do you think this is?" Ryouka's eyes narrowed and focused on what Young Master Gojo's hand was pointing at.
"It looks like a picture of the frequency of radio waves? Ultrasonic, I think?" Ryouka answered, a little hesitant about the answer she gave.
"Then what about this?" Pointing to the picture at the bottom of the first picture.
"I'm probably guessing, that's an X-ray frequency? Wait, no, it looks like... Umm... Gamma Rays?" Young Master Gojo's eyebrows rose when he heard her answer.
" Oh, how can you be so sure about this?"
"Well, I may not be an expert or a doctor, but I like reading books at the local library, and I think it looks like the frequency of gamma rays. But wait, why are you asking me about this, Young Master Gojo?" Instead of answering Ryouka's question, Young Master Gojo turned his attention to the book containing the picture and just waved his hand at Ryouka's question.
"No reason at all, now I want you to go to the kitchen and make a full-course meal dinner and also dessert for me. And I want it finished before 8 o'clock in the evening," said Satoru, turning his back from his maid and getting busy again fiddling with the book he was holding while typing something on the computer in front of him.
"B-b-but this is 19:45? It means that..."
"It means you probably have 15 minutes to make it. I suggest you run to the kitchen, and if you do it late, you should say goodbye to your job," without further ado, Ryouka immediately ran out of the room and headed for the Gojo Clan Estate kitchen. Satoru just snorted at how his newest maid was already running like a track star girl to the kitchen just to keep the job.
' That should keep her away for a while. Now where are...' thought Satoru, returning to focus on his research.

"This better be a fucking emergency. What the fuck did you suddenly call me for while I was still on a mission?" Toji grumbled, his brows furrowing deeply as he approached Shi Woo, his jaw clenched tight. His shoulders were tense, and he walked with a purposeful stride, radiating irritation.
"...I got bad news, and it's about your wife." Toji's posture shifted instantly; he straightened up, his eyes narrowing as a serious expression replaced his earlier laziness.
" Explain."
Shi Woo swallowed hard, feeling the weight of Toji's intense gaze. This wasn't the usual Toji; this was The Famous Sorcerer Killer. Adjusting his collar nervously, he finally said, "...Your wife is pregnant."
Toji's expression flickered from serious to a mix of shock and joy, his eyes widening and mouth slightly agape. Megumi is going to be a big brother.
"That's great news, you bastard! Where's my wife? Is she okay?!"
Before he could ask more, Shi Woo revealed the truth. "But it's not yours!"
"... What? "
"The baby isn't yours; your wife cheated on you."

.....
Miyoko was walking along the side of the highway, sipping instant coffee to stay awake as she explored Sendai. The main road was quiet, with only a few shops open at night.
She figured people were probably having fun at the festival in the city parks. But what was she doing, walking alone on the street where nobody else was around? Well, she was doing her second part-time job as a window for the Jujutsu Sect. It wasn't too hard for her, as her job basically involved walking around Sendai City from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, monitoring cursed spirits in designated areas.
She was assigned to the North area of Sendai City specifically, where she would observe and record any unusual occurrences, such as strange noises or unexplained movements. Besides Miyoko, there were other windows working in the same area, but with different hours.
When her shift ended, she would write a report about the cursed spirits she had monitored. If she found any with a grade above 3 or 4, the manager would review her report and forward it to her superior at the Jujutsu Sect. The superiors would then send reinforcements in the form of Jujutsu Sorcerers to eradicate these cursed spirits.
One of the easiest ways is by observing their physical size. Grade 4 cursed spirits typically have a body size similar to a handful of a human hand or two human fists. Grade 3 cursed spirits can extend up to three sizes of a human foot, while Grade 2 cursed spirits can be half the height of an adult human in Japan. Grade 1 cursed spirits are usually the same size as an adult human, sometimes slightly taller. Special Grade cursed spirits, on the other hand, can reach the height of a building.
Another method to measure the grade of cursed spirits is by examining their physical appearance. The higher the grade, the more similar their form resembles humans, and they often possess intelligence and abilities similar to those of an adult human.
However, relying solely on body size and physical appearance can sometimes lead to incorrect categorization. There are various types of cursed spirits, and the actions of those who categorize them can have severe consequences.
For instance, there was a case where two Jujutsu Sorcerers were sent to eradicate Grade 2 cursed spirits in an abandoned school. However, in reality, they were fighting Grade 1 cursed spirits, while the Jujutsu Sorcerers were Grade 2. As a result, they lost the battle and the Jujutsu Sect lost two Grade 2 sorcerers and four managers. This highlights the importance of accurate identification and the potential dangers of misclassification by window.
During her work, she fortunately never met a cursed spirit higher than 3rd grade. However, two weeks ago, she found residual traces of special grade cursed spirits. But it seems it were already destroyed by a Jujutsu Sorcerer, leaving only large cracks in the highway from the battle. This caused the highway in Sendai to be stuck for several days due to road repairs.
So, she feels quite lucky, as she isn't the first to discover special grade cursed spirit. She can't imagine what would happen if that happened. Her little, extremely shy brother would be all alone inside their house. They only have each other in this world, and she can't let her little brother down. He deserves to be a child his age, even without parents. It's her job as a big sister to pick up the slack and be the family's backbone.
As her mind got stressed and her eyes looked downwards, Miyoko didn't realize she was walking towards a man standing in front of her. As a result, Miyoko's body collided with the man's body. The man didn't fall, but was shocked when Miyoko's body hit his. Meanwhile, her body fell to the ground. Head first.
"Ouch, my head, ugh…" Miyoko groaned as she gently rubbed the spot where her head had hit the ground. She felt the man nearby helping her to stand up slowly, his strong hands guiding her to her feet. As she stood up, she can feel his eyes scanning her face.
"Hey, you okay?" he asked. Miyoko could barely make out his face, but his voice and build reminded her of someone. She nodded, feeling a bit wobbly but trying to appear composed. His eyes lingered on her for a moment, and she felt a shiver run down her spine.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine, thanks—wait, aren't you the guy from the minimarket?-.. OMG, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?!?" Miyoko exclaimed, her vision clearing.
She couldn't believe it; the man who had been a customer at the minimarket where she worked now had the left side of his face bruised as if he'd been punched. His eyes widened in surprise, and he winced slightly as if the movement hurt.
"Don't worry, I just got attacked by a feral wild monkey," he replied casually, his tone light but his eyes betraying a hint of pain. Miyoko's expression turned serious, and she looked at him with concern.
"You need to get that treated right away You could have rabies, sir!" Instead of panicking, the man chuckled softly, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
"Why are you so worried about someone you don't even know? And stop calling me 'sir.' I'm only 23, you know," he said, looking amused.
"How can I not be worried?! Half of your face is bleeding and swollen It's just common sense to help others, even if they look like a shady old man like you," she shot back. A grin spread across his face at her response, and he nodded, his eyes twinkling with humor.
"My, my, the kitten actually has claws. But seriously, don't worry about me. Even though I was attacked by a wild monkey, I'm 1000% sure it didn't have rabies. I'll be fine. Nothing a cold beer and some bandages can't fix," Miyoko's eyes narrowed, and she crossed her arms over her chest.
"I don't think cold beer and some bandages are enough for those bruises, sir. You need antiseptics and antibiotics to help you heal. If you don't want to go to the doctor, at least hit up the pharmacy. There's a hospital just a few steps away, and their pharmacy is open 24 hours,"
"Looks like you're pretty smart too. As much as I'd love to get to know you better, I've got other things to do—like fixing my face and getting drunk. Oh, I just remembered I left my groceries with you—" Suddenly, Miyoko pulled the man into an alley, hiding them both in the shadow of a building.
"I know I'm handsome, and I appreciate the compliment, but aren't you a bit young to be trying to hook up—"
"Shhh! Be quiet and don't make a sound," Miyoko whispered, covering his mouth with her hand. Meanwhile, her eyes darted toward the hospital building not far from where they were hiding.
Miyoko's face was a picture of pure fear, her wide eyes and trembling lips betraying her panic. Cold sweat dripped from her temples as the intensity of her fear mounted.
She saw dozens, maybe even hundreds, of cursed spirits pouring out of the hospital building and spreading across the main road. Among them, she recognized several second-grade cursed spirits inching closer to where she and the man were hiding.
Fear mixed with panic and despair gripped Miyoko. She had no weapons to fight them off and lacked the cursed energy to exorcise them. She was just a part-time window clerk, not a Jujutsu Sorcerer She felt utterly helpless. Suddenly, she felt the man behind her wrap his arms around her in a protective embrace.
"Calm down. The more you panic, the easier it is for them to find us. Just breathe, listen to my heartbeat, and close your eyes," he whispered softly in her ear.
"I-I can't! T-there are too many! We're all going to die!" she stammered, her voice shaking.
"Hushhh.... Nobody is going to die. I'm still here. We're going to be alright. Just take deep breaths, stay calm, quiet, and listen to my heartbeat. Trust me," he urged, gently stroking her hair to soothe her rising panic.
Miyoko hesitated but eventually followed his advice. She closed her eyes and leaned into his warm embrace, feeling the aura of the cursed spirits drawing closer. Her heart raced, and she could feel the hair on the back of her neck stand up, signaling that the second-grade cursed spirits were very near. The man tightened his grip around her, offering comfort as time seemed to stretch endlessly. Eventually, the cursed energy began to fade.
"They're gone. You can open your eyes," he said gently. Miyoko slowly opened her eyelids and saw that he was right. The cursed spirits that had filled the streets were now sparse, moving away to other places. Though her panic had subsided, just as she began to relax, the headache she had felt earlier returned, this time sharper and more intense.
"Are you okay—OH, shit! " he exclaimed as she suddenly passed out in his arms.
