In Rise of the Worlds, there were many ways to summon demons as well as other types of creatures. Skills are one of them.
However, there were many limitations when using summoning skills. The main drawback was because most of the summoned creatures summoned by summoning skills have time limits.
After the time limit was passed, the summoned creatures would either die or disappear. Thus, the players cannot hoard them like items. There were also permanent summoning skills in the game but they were mostly for weaker summons.
To summon permanent high level creatures, the corresponding items or the unit production buildings are required.
For example, the summoning type building (Unit Production Building), the demon gate could summon a large amount demons directly from the demon world.
However, constructing a summoning type building like a demon gate took a lot of time and a large amount of resources. It was a tremendous investment.
In Rise of the Worlds, there were many types of unit production buildings aside from the demon gates. Player guilds could summon a large amount of pawns by constructing and using the unit production buildings.
However unit production buildings has it's own downsides. Not only constructing unit production buildings cost a lot of resources and time, many other players and rival guilds would also target them and try to destroy them.
Unit production buildings are way too eye catching and had always targeted even before they finished constructing.
Although the unit production buildings were powerful, too many of them were unnecessary as it will make the guild more vulnerable and targeted by the others. Even the wealthy large sized guilds did not construct too many unit production buildings.
Furthermore each summoning type buildings also had their own restrictions. For example, the demons summoned from the demon gate are originally not under the players' control.
When summoned, the demons are hostile to everyone including the summoners. The players had to subjugate them and control them using the skills, items or their own aura before they could use these demons in battles.
For some high tier demons that could not be subjugated, the players have no choices but to kill them. If the players were not strong enough, they would be wiped out by the demons.
There were rare cases of powerful demons appearing from the demon gate and wiping out the summoning players.
Using demon gates sometimes depend on luck since the demons came through the demon gate are completely random.
Still, despite the restrictions, demon gates were quite popular unit production buildings among the players.
The main reason was because the player does not have to be a summoner to subjugate the demons. Of cause, it would be easier if it was the summoner but the requirements were still looser than the other unit production buildings which need summoner class.
There were many unit production buildings for different units. The demon gates were only one of them. Demon gates, taming grounds, golem factory and other unit production buildings had it's own pros and cons.
The unit production buildings were among the category of summoning type which is one of the seven main types in the game.
In Rise of the Worlds, there were currently a total of seven general categories of play styles that the players could choose from. They were known as DPS, Tank, Burst, Control, Support, Summoning and Dualist.
DPS, Tank and Burst were the initial play styles when the game was first released. Others appeared one after another when their respective Mythical items were found lasting with the dualist style.
Adrosiean's play style could considered under the category of the control and summoning type.
One of the first ever type, DPS (Damage Per second) type players are the players who deal continuous damage to the enemies using their basic attacks or skills. The DPS type players were the primary damage dealers in battles.
Tanks are the front liners who could absorb a lot damage and cover their allies. They were meatshields with tons of HP and defenses.
Tank role was not very popular amount the players because of it's boring play style. However they are essential in most battles especially in boss raids.
The next, Burst type players were players who specialized in dealing a large amount of damage in a short amount of time. They were mostly assassins who use hit and run tactics.
Adrosiean was formerly a burst type assassin when he started playing the game. However he reset his talent tree and changed it to control class when he first got the control class mythical item and founded the new style.
The next one, Control type players were players who disturb the enemies focus and momentum. Their role was mainly crowd control. They specialized in debuffing, disabling and silencing the enemies' skills.
Control type was considered the most annoying by many players. It was introduced in the game when Adrosiean first discovered the Mythical item of Control type.
The control type players were not powerful in particular but they were truly annoying. Most players hated them. In fact Adrosiean received hatred from some players because he was the one who found the Control type Mythical item.
After the introduction of Control, Supports appeared came. It was a class known for healing and buffing their allies. Their roles are complete opposite of Control type.
The supports are extremely weak in solo battles but very powerful in team battles or wars. They would continuously heal and buff their allies if ignored.
It became a common knowledge in the Rise of the Worlds to take out the supports first before they could heal their allies endlessly. Some top tier supporters even used sub skills like teleportations and traps skillfully to not taken out early.
After support class was the summoners. The summoner class Mythical item was accidentals found by Adrosiean's rival and best friend, Neraras. Later, Adrosiesn exchanged it with his Mythical item.
Summoners were army type players who swarm their enemies with sheer numbers. Summoning class includes necromancers and tamers who lean on quantity instead of quality. They were masters of human wave tactics and prolong battles.
Because of the flashy play style, the summoners were famous among players. However they were the most expensive play style in the game to play and only players with guilds at their backing could afford to be summoners.
The last role was dualist that was said to be made for 1 vs 1 solo duals. It was the newest in Rise of the Worlds and only appeared recently when it's Mythical item was discovered by a player. That player was none other then Adrosiean himself.

"Is there any cemeteries or villages nearby?"
Adrosiean turned to the cult leader and asked.
"Yes, my lord. The nearest town from this forest is the border town from Aliridom kingdom. It is fairly a big town and a cemetery is just outside of the town. A few small villages were just around the border town."
The cult leader pointed at the map and answered.
"Tell the cult to prepare to depart to the border town. We won't be coming back here. So tell them to pack up all their valuables."
Adroseian ordered the cult leader.
"As you command, great one."
The cult leader bowed and walked out the room.
Shortly after, the cultists finished packing up their things. Adrosiean stepped out of the hideout. Behind him was dozens of demonic humans waiting for him.
"Let's go. We don't have much time. Lead the way to the cemetery."
Adrosiean said. The cult leader nodded and obeyed. He led Adrosiean towards the border town. The demonic cult members followed closely behind them.
The travel only took a short while before they reached the cemetery outside the border town. Adrosiean's gaze passed through the endless sight of headstones on the dead land.
The air was filled with eerie chill. Rustling of the leaves and howls of wolves could be heard from the darkness.
Adrosiean activated one of his skills.
"Scout Detection."
An invisible wave came out of his body and spread through the dead land. Scout detection is not a powerful detection skill. It cannot detect any high level invisibility.
The skill could only roughly scan the surroundings. However it has extremely wide range. The detection wave instantly covered the whole cemetery.
Adrosiean sensed the dead bodies buried under the ground. He nodded in satisfaction.
"Quite a lot. Although it is not much, this is better than I thought."
Adrosiean's hands reached his head. A dark crown appeared at his touch. This was a Mythical item and one of Adrosiean's equipments.
This is one of the two items that made him the most powerful player in the whole game, the Mythical item, the Crown of Aryumaya. According to the game, it is translated as Crown of Life and Death.
Adrosiean had always been wearing this the whole time. It just that he had concealed it's appearance in the settings. Strangely, the equipment setting still apply in this world and he could still hide his equipments.
Formerly, Adrosiean was worried that his items would not be summoned together with him. Without his items, his strength would be reduced to a large extend and he would have to start all over again.
Thankfully the inventory function is still here. Not only his equipments, everything in his inventory were brought together with him. Among them were some legendary grade items and many epic grade items.
They were all the fruits of his life long efforts. He had gotten them after playing Rise of the Worlds and grinding for many years.
