As Scarlett led Akashi through the bustling corridors of the Death-Hold, the members of the Fifth Division came into view one by one, each with their own unique presence.
"And now, allow me to introduce you to my seven generals," she declared, her tone carrying a weight of respect and authority that demanded attention.
Standing beside Scarlett, each of the seven generals exuded a sense of power and command, their presence imposing yet distinct in its own right. They were the backbone of the Fifth Division, each holding their own personal soldiers under their command, ready to carry out their leader's orders without question.
First up was Volt, the vice-captain, his lazy demeanour evident in every movement. "Sup, kid," he drawled lazily, a smirk playing on his lips as he sized up the newcomer.
Scarlett's fiery temper was quick to follow, her rough voice cutting through the air as she introduced the next member of their team. "This is Reyes," she announced, gesturing towards the burly man standing before them.
Reyes was a man of average height, his muscular frame commanding attention. A large, curly white moustache adorned his face, complementing the beard that framed his jawline. Dressed in traditional chef's attire, complete with a towering chef's hat, Reyes exuded an air of warmth and hospitality.
"Welcome, newcomer," Reyes boomed in a hearty voice, extending a hand towards Akashi. "Sorry you got the short stick of the divisions around here. But if there's anything you fancy, just let me know, and I'll whip it up for you."
Next in line was Livia, the archaeologist of the Fifth Division. With her pink hair and striking blue eyes, she stood out among the crowd, her aura one of intelligence and calmness. Clutching a large book to her chest, she exuded an air of quiet authority.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Livia greeted Akashi, her voice clear and soothing. "If you ever need information or assistance, don't hesitate to ask."
Just as Akashi was about to respond, two figures burst into the scene, their presence commanding attention.
Takai, the swordsman, cut an imposing figure in his black kimono, his sword glinting menacingly at his side. With a wheat stick dangling from his mouth, he exuded an aura of strength and confidence.
Beside him, Soren, the weapon-smith, was a stark contrast in appearance. With his energetic personality and youthful demeanour, he seemed to be the instigator of their dynamic duo. Covered in soot and sporting a mischievous grin, Soren's blue eyes sparkled with excitement.
Before anyone could react, Takai began to speak, only to be interrupted by a swift kick to the face from Soren.
"Are you strong, new guy?" Soren chirped, his smile never faltering despite the chaos he caused.
Takai's response was swift, but Soren effortlessly dodged his punch, his movements fluid and graceful.
As the chaos unfolded, Akashi could only watch with a mixture of concern and uncertainty, wondering what kind of environment he had found himself in.
But before he could dwell on it further, Scarlett introduced yet more members of the Fifth Division.
As the chaos settled, Scarlett motioned for the commotion to cease, her voice cutting through the air like a blade.
"Now, now, let's save the sparring for the training grounds," she commanded, her tone brooking no argument.
With a nod from Scarlett, two more figures stepped forward, their presence commanding attention in their own right.
Neon, the scientist, stood petite yet exuding an air of curiosity and wonder. Her silky smooth skin contrasted with her black hair and light brown eyes, and she wore an astronaut suit that seemed out of place in the bustling corridors of the Death-Hold.
"Hi there, kid," Neon greeted Akashi with a sweet and childlike voice, a smile lighting up her face.
Akashi, still processing the whirlwind of introductions, found himself unable to respond, his gaze fixed on the peculiar scientist before him.
With a chuckle, Neon continued, "I'm a third gen, you know," as if offering an explanation for her eccentric attire.
"Wait, wouldn't that make you over..." Akashi began, only to be swiftly interrupted by Neon.
"Yes, I'm 41 years old," Neon interjected with a playful smile, her voice carrying a hint of amusement.
Scarlett interjected with a smirk, her eyes dancing with amusement. "Stare all you want, Akashi. Science has truly come a long way," she remarked, her tone teasing.
"I beg to differ," Akashi replied with a stoic expression, his voice firm and unwavering.
Neon, visibly irritated by Akashi's comment, marched right up to him with a pouty expression. "You got a problem with science, huh?" she demanded, her voice tinged with annoyance.
Akashi met her gaze calmly. "No, madam," he replied evenly, refusing to back down despite the intensity of her stare.
"And last but not least, this is Lucien," Scarlett declared, gesturing towards the young man with stoic features.
Lucien stood tall and composed, his short black hair and tuxedo giving him an air of sophistication. It was revealed that he was the one who had recommended Akashi to Scarlett, he was considered one of her most reliable and trusted soldiers.
Scarlett's words echoed in the air, her confidence in Lucien's judgment unwavering.
Akashi's gaze shifted from one member to the next.
But one thing lingered on Akashi's mind: Lucien. Lucien didn't bat an eye away from Akashi, and a sense of unease emanated from the man. All Akashi could think of at the moment was, "Interesting," as Lucien seemed to be of particular interest to him.
