One of these things was that Vitaliana wasn't shaking anymore either. She had completely relaxed, having seen the vision of something else that was somewhat hidden from Solaria's view. It wasn't that Solaria was blind, no, she was just too focused on the battle her granddaughters were fighting. It was this that caused her to relax initially, enough for her to notice the second thing…
The earth quaked, shaking with a violent intensity such that none could avoid it. Solaria's protection kept the people around her safe, but they didn't need to feel it to know it was happening, no, because it was visible to the naked eye.
Coming with this violent quake was a heat wave so intense it melted the magically infused stone walls of ridgeline city into flows of cascading lava and set fire to several miles of forest. Anything burnable was set ablaze. Not even ash could remain unaffected. It was a truly terrible heat.
Due to the intense heat, the pressure plummeted forming a hurricane over land. Though there was a huge difference between natural hurricane's and this one, the element. For instead of commanding a flood of water, there was a sea of fire, consuming everything in its path. A truly ferocious storm.
"What the hell is this?!" The Vampire Count shouted in a confused panic as his skin began to sweat under the intensity of this heat, well, it looked like sweat. "Huh, what am I… Melting? I'm a Count! Flames that can mold Adamantite wouldn't be able to do a thing against me! Yet I'm melting." He all but screamed, in terror.
"Hehe, you're dead now… Well, I guess it's double death or something? Maybe it's purification…" Flariana said with a difficult glint in her eyes, pulling the attention of the Vampire directly towards her.
"Why you!" The Vampire Count grumbled angrily. I can't even see in this place! It's like my senses are incinerated past a couple inches.
"Oh? Is the dead man angry?" Flairiana continued taunting him.
"RAGH! DIE YOU DISGUSTING THING!" The Vampire screamed with rage, furiously launching attacks into the flames, directed at Flariana.
Flairiana, in this particular environment, was like a fish in water, completely at home. She couldn't defeat this foe. But no longer did she need the aid of her sisters to keep him preoccupied. Which was perfect, because they were not in any shape to do anything at the moment.
~ Acialia ~
"Huh, why are you here? Leave, it's dangerous." Acialia scolded, barely managing to get the words out, Remaining conscious while the scene around her changed in an instant, then she completely lost consciousness.
Soon Aieria, Fulgiana and Fernia had also appeared in the same place. Each lay next to the other, complete with wounds so severe, it didn't take a doctor to tell that they were barely holding on. Wounds like these required healing far beyond what Just about any Magus would be capable of, so Solaria began healing them, no longer concerned for their safety. After all, it's not like Solaria would just let them die like this, right in front of her.
Vitaliana on the other hand was in rather rough shape. Collapsed on the ground completely unresponsive. She didn't realize just how dangerous what she had done actually was. However, she couldn't keep herself from doing it, it was instinctual. Teleporting in and bringing her sisters out while the Vampire couldn't see nor sense anything.
Solaria glanced over at the mana drained Vitaliana with concern. "To think you could teleport away in such a hurry that I couldn't stop you. More than that, how did you manage to relax before doing that? So many surprises all wrapped up in one little bird…" She murmured.
Fernia, having utilized her element to stave off most of the damage she received, regained a degree of consciousness first. And looked around. "Grandmother? What happened?" She asked with a pained chirp.
"You were fighting a Vampire Count. But such a foe was too much for the five of you to handle. Using Eternia's true phoenix aura as cover, Flariana began distracting the Vampire on her own while Vitaliana pushed herself well beyond her limits to teleport all four of you out of the way." Solaria explained to the bewildered Fernia.
"Oh… Wait! Vitaliana! Is she hurt!?" Fernia asked, suddenly panicking.
"Don't be silly, she had my feather remember? It would take more than being surrounded by those flames to do any damage to her. Or have you forgotten? Your mother would never hurt you with her aura. That said, Vitaliana is exhausted. She's sleeping on the ground so peacefully…" Solaria answered, dispelling any worries in the process.
Fernia started getting up, slowly. She too was exhausted. A fight like that really takes its toll on someone. But for Fernia, it was personal and doubly so. "Grandmother, how is Flariana? Even in mother's fire, I doubt my sister can manage for long." She asked, as if she was preparing to head back in.
"If you're thinking of charging in there again, don't do that. Flariana is soon going to leave. Someone else is about to rise and obliterate the bastard." Solaria said, putting a pressure that kept Fernia from moving. "And even if by some freakish means, he survives a battle with her… I'll show him what it truly means to anger the sun." She continued, gritting her teeth.
It was right about now that the rest of them woke up, including Vitaliana which was quite weird. Flariana then came out from the flame engulfed city. Injured but alive and flying as fast as she possibly could. But there was a Vampire following after her.
"DIE!" The Vampire Count shouted, launching a blood ray as he was then destabilized mid air due to the sudden change in wind speed.
"No, I think I'll live a bit longer. But you on the other hand… Have fun dying!" Flairiana laughed as she took a dive straight for the ground, dodging the ray but… Come on little sister, I know you can pull out another one of those handy things.
"Ah!" Vitaliana realized what was going on. She used a sliver of what she had left to teleport onto Solaria's shoulder, now she had a bit more to work with, creating a portal directly beneath Flariana. Saving her just before hitting the ground.
"AH! DAMN YOU ALL!" The Vampire Count screamed with anger. Then a deathly terrifying shiver coursed through his body.
"You are going to pay dearly for what you've done." Eternia's voice sounded out with a deathly serious intent behind it. "SUFFER!" Her voice roared as the flames raged.
What the Vampire saw next made him lose hope of victory, managing to get away would already be impossible. He underestimated his foe.
