Soon, The Jester found Lei sitting at the rim of a fountain. The marble was slightly splattered with moss, but Lei didn't seem to notice it. He slowly sat down beside her. The wind was still blowing, making everything dance in a sacred ritual. Lei was staring at her hands.
"Is it over?" Lei asked. Her voice faltered. The Jester nodded.
"Then… can I ask something?" Lei asked. The Jester nodded again. He already knew what would happen next. After all, curiosity killed the cat.
"Who are you really?"
The Jester smiled sadly and then held a finger to his lips. A single leaf blew between them, landing safely in the water.
"You wouldn't like me if you found out."
