Suddenly, a heavy dictionary slammed the guard in the face, denting his helmet. Lei's wrist was released, and she whirled around to see who had done it - Alderia. She grabbed the vials out of her pocket and threw them both at her parents. The glass broke.
She had done it.
Oh, but this is still a book. It wouldn't be fun without some chaos.
Lei whirled to Alderia, grabbed the dictionary from the knight, who had been knocked out and was now lying on the floor and tried to break the lock with it.
It didnt work.
Again Lei was grabbed and pushed to the ground. Her parents had now recovered and had cuffed her wrists tightly behind her arms. Lei was now struggling frantically, doing something, anything, kicking and shouting and screaming.
"You idiotic little princess." Her father said, and Lei closed her eyes and went limp. Her parents threw her into the same cage as Alderia, and they were about to close the door. Lei was thrown onto the floor, scraping her elbows and knees, and Alderia slowly helped her up.
I take it back.
This isn't fun anymore.
Guess I'll have to change it up a bit.
Just as the cell door was about the close, suddenly there was a shout. Lei turned to see a hooded figure shoving aside both her parents. Lei's blood froze, and Alderia muttered, "Who is it now…"
The hooded figure pulled back their hood to reveal the jester.
He smiled at Lei.
"Sorry, I'm late. Can you stand?"
