Chapter 70 - .

The next morning, Sebastian received a letter from Lei that she would be visiting, but, since she had been exiled from the kingdom, it would be under the disguise of a maid. This was because even though she was now queen of another kingdom, she had still pretty much thrown her parent's dignities out the window, and since they were now out for her throat, it was safer for her to come under a disguise and protected by Jylan's dukedom. Of course, the ball of chaos named Lei could not be stopped by a mere maid costume, which was why Sebastian told Jylan (Both of them were pretending nothing had happened that morning), who immediately burst into a grin. They were in his office, sitting on either side of a desk. Jylan and Sebastian were both doing paperwork, chattering eagerly while their fountain pens scribbled delicate letters on rolls of parchment.

"My Prince, that's wonderful!" Jylan said, beaming, and Sebastian, still sitting in an armchair, sighed.

"Yes, I'm sure it is, but somehow I can't shake the feeling that something will go horribly wrong…"

And that was correct, absolutely correct of Sebastian to say, (but you'll have to wait to see what exactly that means.) "Lei will be here by midnight, but I need to leave at midnight as well…" Sebastian said, looking at the letter again, and then suddenly, Jylan leaned forward from his desk, grabbed the paper between two hands, and tore it in half.

"My prince! Stop looking at the letter!" Jylan said, and Sebastian frowned. "You're taping that back together, Butler." Jylan opened his mouth to reply, but just then, a pebble bounced off the window. Both of them turned, and then Sebastian rushed to the window, followed by Jylan, and they peered down the castle walls to see someone scaling them with the help of a hooded figure on a horse. The hooded figure had red hair spilling out of the edges of the cloak, and the person scaling the wall had a maid costume on. As soon as the maid scaled the wall, she fell to the ground with a thud, right outside Jylan's window. Sebastian opened the window, and yelled, "Lei!" as it rang out of the courtyard. Instantly the maid leaped up and ran over to them, with Sebastian grabbing her hands and helping her through the window before anyone saw. He let go as soon as she reached the ground, and the maid now hurried into a formal bow, then lifted her head to reveal Lei, who was, as usual, smiling brightly.

"Care to explain what's happening, Sebas? It's good to see you again."

Sebastian led Lei to an empty room, with Jylan no longer there, and carefully explained everything that had happened. By the end. Lei was wailing on the floor, Sebastian couldn't tell if she was crying or laughing. She looked up, grabbed fistfuls of her hair, and screeched, "Sebas! You -did you lose your brains? Why didn't you ask the dang duke if he felt the same!" and Sebastian paused.

"I was scared of the answer, Lei." He said, looking at his feet, and Lei stopped laughing. Then, she stood up, dusted off her maid costume, and said, brightly, "You've always been a scaredy cat, Sebas! Don't fear, your bestie is here to save you!" Sebastian raised an eyebrow. "What are you going to do, Lei?" Now she winked and held up a finger.

"Oh, don't worry about that. Just make sure you tell the servants you'll be away for a liiiiiitle while more, okay?"
