"No wonder you thought I was an intruder," Jylan murmured with a smile. Then, he returned, "Other than having that pup force me to chase him around the loft for an hour, I suppose I was alright. I mean, at least he stopped licking the wardrobe."
"The stolen, fancy wardrobe."
"I didn't steal it!" Jylan snapped.
The pup yipped again.
"OKAY! MAYBE I DID STEAL IT!"
"I knew it."
"But you can't say that it wasn't worth it! One day I was at Princess 's castle, and her –
"Why were you at 's castle?!"
"My prince, I'm getting there. Patience!" Jylan scolded. "So… she was blabbering on about this random guy named Christopher and I just followed along, getting errands done – and then I saw this beauty! She said that nobody really used it and it was just there for decoration, so I'd thought that maybe I could put it to some use and put my valuables in there.
"That night, I'd slowly creaked that wardrobe out, heaved it into the back of my carriage, and rode away toward this cottage! The end! How romantic it sounds, doesn't it?"
