Jin, sitting on top of the same old crappy building he has to live in since, well years ago. He look over the poor part of the capital then the one behind the walls. He didn't like those rich people, never felt the pain of work or of an empty stomach to save money.
While they could enjoy life, people like him, well not like him, but people around him had been nothing but hurt since the start of the next system, society. He never liked calling it that way, for him it was not the system but the people rulling over all and just getting everything.
Jin hated the baron in particular, the one who changed everything, for the better, for the one that followed him and the worst for everyone else.
But he did have a job in a bar with other people working with him but since it was in the bad part of the slum they needed to protected themself, they weren't that well equipe but they knew a lot of people. That helped so many time.
Talking about the rest of the diamant crew, he calls them that but there are more like his friend then anything else, partner actually.
" That makes us a crew " Carla
" Yes but no " I said
" We do work together and are friend, we are a crew " she said
" Yeah but we are more friend " I responded
" That doesn't... We are not more than this or that we are all ! We are a crew of friend ! " she said
" Okay its the between, that's fine by me " I responded
" Always fine for you when you are between my- " she tried to say
" We had that talk over Carla. I'm not interested- " I tried to say
" In having a love partner yes I know but I was just joking ! " she responded
" Don't joke with a guys feeling, better yet, play with anyone feelings ! " I said
" Ohhh your so sensitive ! "
" Shut up ! " I said pushing her over the side
She laugh a lot until Bos Mon, yes it was he's name, came out of the trapdoor leading to the roof and call us out. He didn't lived in the same building as Jin or Carla but did live next to his own bar, he was the owner of the Red Diamant. A famous bar in the criminal underground as the place to go when you need business done. Or to get high, or to get a slave, sorry, a girl for a night.
" What's up boss ? " I asked
" I need both of you down here for a dude name Kris, that man need a package that I have put inside your house Jin, after you've done that meet me at the bar 20 minute after the package has been take, got it ? " he said
" Yes but when will the dude come ? " I asked
" In about 30 minute or so " Bos said
" Wow he has really good stamina ! " Carla said laughing
" I'll see you at the bar " sign Bos
Then he leaved us. I looked at Carla and she leen over me. Lay on my shoulder and started to talk about whatever.
" Hey Jin, you ever wonder what- "
" I don't have time to wonder " I said
" ...Do you think one day we could go anywhere we want ? " she asked
" We can go anywhere we want Carla " I responded
" No I mean, like we can ACTUALY go anywhere, like in the continent, inside a cave full of mutants dwarf and orgre. Or anothere dimension. " she said
" Are you high ? " I asked her
" No its a genuie question " she said
" Well, find a better one because it doesn't seem serious to me " I responded
" Okay... do you...do you think we can actualy have a normal life ? "
" We have a normal life, we eat, we work, we take time for ourself and we sleep. " I said
" Yes but thats with all the things we done " she said
" Don't tell me you're feeling bad " I said
" No ! I just want to be able not to continue down our road. To choose ! " she said
" Well I don't know " I said
" You know nothing... " she said
Jin didn't want to say how much she was wrong, he did know a lot but he didn't want to make the effort or just to put idea in her head. He just wanted to keep his life as it was, but inside him, not so deep, he did wanted a different life, but thats was the things he knew nothing about.
He didn't have the choice.
