Chapter 4 - What Do You Think Of Me?

The next day.

Toma went to school sluggishly. He didn't sleep well all night. He spent most of the night preparing for quests; he could only sleep for a while.

However, when it was almost time, he immediately got up and washed up. After breakfast, he came to Kuoh Academy.

It was still early, and the popular characters had not yet arrived at the school. The school was sparsely populated and seemed a little quiet.

Coming to the shoe locker of the first grade, Toma changed his shoes and then came to the locker with the name 'Toujou Koneko' written on it.

Since it is only a shoe locker, it will not be locked.

Toma took a deep breath and opened it with some guilt, but after seeing what was inside, he couldn't help but twitch.

In addition to a pair of shoes, there are seven or eight letters lying around in the small cabinet.

Needless to say, it was definitely a love letter.

"I'm here so early..."

Toma had the urge to complain, and there were not many people in the school building, especially in the corridor. He is the only one now, and there are already seven or eight love letters lying in the locker, indicating that someone has placed the letter before him.

"Sure enough, it's not very reliable to confess to her through a letter."

No doubt, after a while, the number of such letters will increase and even fill the entire shoe cabinet.

However, sadly, it is very likely that they will be thrown aside.

Toma closed the cabinet.

With the passage of time, the number of students who came to the school gradually increased, and the deserted school building also became lively.

Toma saw Toujou Koneko's figure.

The petite figure was accompanied by Rias Gremory and Himejima Akeno, and after the first-year building, Koneko separated from the two.

Toma looked like he was going to give up. In fact, he was still resisting in his heart; after all, he was being forced by the system.

"Toujou-san, please wait a moment."

While Koneko was alone, Toma calmly chased after her.

"What's the matter?"

After hearing the voice, Toujou Koneko paused for a while, then turned and raised her head to look at Toma. With a cold expression on her delicate face, there was no fluctuation in her golden eyes.

"Do you have time at noon, Toujou-san? I have something to tell you."

Toma asked, without the slightest sloppiness, directly explaining the purpose.

Hearing this, Toujou Koneko was about to speak, but after Toma finished speaking, he immediately continued with the next sentence, "It won't waste your time too much."

"..."

Meeting Toma's gaze, Toujou Koneko was silent for a second.

"Okay, I got it."

Koneko sighed imperceptibly; the expression on her face remained unchanged, but she nodded in agreement.

"Is there anything else?"

After agreeing, Koneko inquired.

"Thank you; see you on the rooftop after class at noon."

Perceiving that Koneko's mood might be a little stiff, Toma was sensible and ready to leave.

"Well then, goodbye."

Looking at Koneko's petite back, Toma shrugged indifferently. The goal has been achieved anyway.

...

The bell rang at the end of class.

"President, I might be late today."

Koneko took out her phone and sent a text message.

Normally, during the lunch break, she would go to the old school building to spend time with Rias and others.

"Got it."

Soon, the opposite side replied and did not make too many inquiries.

After sending the text message, Koneko put away her phone, stood up from her seat, left the classroom, and walked towards the rooftop on the top floor.

Along the way, Koneko's expression remained indifferent; she had probably guessed what Toma wanted to say to her.

After a while, Koneko walked up the stairs to the top floor rooftop.

She could see a figure.

Of course, it was Toma.

In order to prevent some unexpected accidents, Toma skipped class to prepare for the trial quest.

After seeing Koneko coming, Toma greeted her, and she nodded indifferently.

"If you have something to say, just say it."

Koneko raised her eyes and stared at Toma. Although her tone did not fluctuate, Toma could hear a hint of impatience in her gentle tone.

"Toujou-san, it's very tiring to walk to the rooftop; let's sit down first."

Toma was in no hurry. He was here to delay time. What if he is rejected all of a sudden, and the person leaves?

[Trial Quest(1/3)]

[Countdown Started]

[10:00]

When Koneko came, the countdown for the confession appeared in Toma's eyes; the numbers kept jumping, and he smiled silently.

Hearing this, Koneko subconsciously twitched slightly. Toma's tone was neither gentle nor nervous.

Isn't it a confession?

Am I guessing wrong?

Such a thought came to Koneko's mind.

Since she entered high school, she has encountered a lot of situations where she was called out by many boys, so she naturally classified Toma as a boy who wanted to confess to her.

However, Toma's attitude made her suspicious.

"No, I'm not very tired."

Koneko shook her head and refused. She is a devil and a Nekoshou. Even if she had to fight for five hours straight, she wouldn't get tired at all.

Koneko looked at Toma and said, "I have to go to the club later. The club's members are still waiting for me. I don't have a lot of time. If you have anything else, just tell me quickly."

Occult Research Club!?

Toma was naturally familiar with what Koneko was referring to as a club. It was the club established by Rias and the others, one of the gathering places of devils in Kuoh Academy.

"Toujou-san, do you have a boyfriend?"

Toma spoke directly.

"..."

Hearing this question, Koneko's eyes trembled slightly, and she felt a little tired.

Sure enough, there was no mistake.

"No."

Koneko answered.

"Anyone you like?"

"No."

Koneko's answer was still the same.

"That's great."

Toma turned his head and looked at Koneko expectantly. "Then what do you think of me?"
