Chapter 163 - Sad Church Trio

Chapter 163 - Sad Church Trio

It had been almost ten days since he returned to Kuoh Academy.

Mahiro had been worried that the delay caused by Kokabiel's incident would make him miss his chance to enter the dimensional world.

Fortunately, Kokabiel was reckless and didn't bother hiding.

In two more days, the cooldown for entering dimensional world will end.

Mahiro eagerly anticipates which dimensional world will refresh this time.

After pondering for a while, Mahiro took a shower and quickly fell asleep.

The next day was Sunday.

When Mahiro woke up, he found his room still empty.

"Is Asia not back yet?"

Mahiro glanced into Asia's room and saw that it was empty.

She probably hadn't returned home.

It seems Asia was busy late yesterday.

Closing the room, Mahiro prepared to go out for breakfast, and planned to meet Rias.

"Darling, are you awake yet?"

A magic circle appeared next to Mahiro's ear, and Rias's voice came through.

"I'm already up. I was going to find you after breakfast," Mahiro replied.

"I've prepared breakfast here. Come eat with us," Rias said, adding, "Also, there's a small issue here."

"An issue?" Mahiro wondered.

"You'll understand when you get here," Rias sighed.

"Alright, I'll be right over."

Mahiro cut off the connection, then teleport over there.

In Rias's villa, everyone except Yuuto had gathered.

"Good morning, Red Dragon Emperor," Jeanne greeted him casually, sitting at the large dining table and leisurely eating breakfast.

Upon seeing Mahiro, she smiled and nodded.

Despite her seemingly carefree personality, Jeanne's table manners were quite aristocratic.

She was far more elegant than her appearance suggested.

"Good morning, Jeanne," Mahiro nodded in response, then turned to Rias. "So, what's the issue?"

"Come with me," Rias said, leading Mahiro to Irina's room.

There, Mahiro saw a scene of three girls huddled together, crying.

The three were, of course, Irina, Xenovia, and Asia—girls who originally belonged to the church.

"That's it…" Rias glanced at the three girls weeping bitterly, then looked at Mahiro, her face filled with helplessness.

"So that's why Asia didn't come back yesterday..." Mahiro muttered.

"When Sona sent Asia back yesterday, it was very late, so I let her stay here."

"Since she's moving in today, I asked her to pick out a room last night," Rias explained.

"This morning, I asked her to wake up the others, and... well, this happened."

"In other words, Asia knows the news as well," Mahiro nodded slightly.

Although Asia could sometimes be sensitive, today's hoarse cries as she clung to Irina and Xenovia, who once considered her a heretic, suggested that she had learned of God's death.

"It appears so… They've been crying for almost half an hour," Rias said, looking tired.

Mahiro sighed, "They're like fountains. If no one stops them, they'll probably cry for another half hour."

"Forget it. Let's just leave some breakfast for them for when they're done," he said, resigned.

Rias looked at him speechlessly.

She had hoped he'd comfort them, but Mahiro seemed indifferent.

"Mahiro-kun…"

Asia noticed them after a while.

She let go of Irina and Xenovia, and ran to Mahiro, her tear-stained eyes filled with hope.

"Is God really dead?"

"Yes, he met a tragic end, beaten to death by the four Satans," Mahiro said with a mischievous glint.

Rias rolled her eyes at him.

Asia froze, uncertain whether to cry or laugh.

Her tears stopped as she looked at Mahiro in shock.

"Alright, crying won't help. Go wash your face and come out for breakfast," Mahiro said, ruffling her hair with a gentle smile.

Comforting people wasn't really his thing, but he figured this was enough.

Asia sniffled, nodded silently, and, feeling somewhat soothed, went to freshen up.

In Asia's heart, Mahiro was almost godlike to her, perhaps even ranking higher than any deity.

Naturally, seeing him made her feel secure.

"As for you two, stop crying!" he snapped at Irina and Xenovia.

Rias looked surprised.

After being scolded, Irina and Xenovia stopped, looking at Mahiro with tearful eyes, both confused and helpless.

Faced with their wide-eyed stares, Mahiro felt a bit awkward but kept his tone firm.

"Get dressed. After breakfast, both of you still need to work off your debt. Don't forget that," he added.

"Let's go, Rias."

As he turned to leave, Rias looked back at the church duo with a wry smile.

"Your way of comforting people leaves me speechless," she commented.

"It worked, didn't it? They're not crying now," Mahiro shrugged.

Rias rolled her eyes again, thinking to herself, 'They probably stopped crying because you scared them.'
