Chapter 157 - Vali Arrives

Chapter 157 - Vali Arrives

Comparing the reactions of Xenovia and Irina, Jeanne's situation seemed very strange.

Not only was she unaffected, but she also appeared disdainful.

Is this really a believer?

"Don't stare at me like that. I've been through so many shocks since childhood that this doesn't affect me much," Jeanne explained unhappily, noticing everyone's gaze.

In reality, she had already defected from the Church and joined Hero Faction.

Moreover, she had learned this news from Cao Cao long ago and had already processed the shock.

At this moment, there was no reason for her to feel affected.

If Irina were still conscious, she would surely call Jeanne a heretic.

But in the current situation, no one scolded Jeanne; they just found her reaction strange.

"Hahahaha! It feels amazing to say it aloud! I've been holding this in for hundreds of years!" Kokabiel laughed heartily.

"Are those your final words?" Mahiro asked calmly.

"I'm just a small fry who has lived far too long. I've had my fill. Now, give me the final blow!" Kokabiel laughed wildly.

As a Fallen Angel who had lived for so long, Kokabiel no longer cared much about life.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have acted like a madman, provoking the three factions, attempting to start a war, and even planning to kill maou sisters.

Mahiro raised his hand, and Hyōrinmaru appeared in his grasp, ready to finish Kokabiel off.

BOOM!

Suddenly, Mahiro looked upwards, and a sharp noise came from front.

Mahiro's eyes narrowed as he sensed something approaching.

It felt like the instinctual awareness of a predator sensing a rival's presence.

Without hesitation, Mahiro moved Kokabiel out of harm's way.

WHOOSH!

At the same time, a sound of something cutting through the air echoed in the sky.

A light, like a falling meteor, streaked across the sky. In an instant, it crossed over and hurtled toward Mahiro and Kokabiel.

BOOM!

As the light struck the ground, a strong shockwave spread out, and in the crater where Kokabiel had been lying, a violent gust of wind surged, expanding in all directions.

Dust and smoke rose, covering the central area.

Through the haze, only faint flashes of silver light could be seen.

Rias and Akeno reacted, raising their hands to create a simple barrier, blocking the impact of the blast.

"Who is that?" Rias asked warily, watching the figure concealed within the smoke, trying to identify the intruder who dared to attack at this moment.

After a few moments, the smoke cleared.

The figure responsible for the attack finally emerged before them.

It was a figure clad entirely in silver-white armor. Blue gems embedded at key points of the armor radiated a dazzling light.

Behind the armor, a pair of blue wings spread out.

An overwhelmingly powerful aura emanated from the figure, making Rias and the others feel the breathless.

"White Dragon Emperor!!"

Sona quickly recognized the figure from memory and revealed his identity.

"The White Dragon Emperor?" Koneko asked in astonishment as she stared at the silver-white figure.

"It's really the White Dragon Emperor?" Akeno was equally shocked.

She knew well about the White Dragon Emperor, the eternal rival of the Red Dragon Emperor.

When both appeared at the same time, it always signaled a battle.

"It seems the aura of the Red Dragon Emperor attracted him," Xenovia commented, managing to regain her footing with the help of Excalibur Destruction.

"So strong," Rias said, frowning.

A trace of worry appeared in her heart as she realized how formidable this White Dragon Emperor was.

Mahiro had shown himself to be exceptional, but it seemed the White Dragon Emperor was not to be underestimated either.

This was going to be troublesome.

Rias didn't want Mahiro to be injured by the White Dragon Emperor.

"Hey, My old enemy, could you leave Kokabiel for me to deal with?"

Vali ignored Rias and the others, focusing only on Mahiro across the battlefield.

From more than ten meters away, Mahiro stood holding Kokabiel like a ragdoll, staring coldly at Vali.

"You want him?" Mahiro asked, shaking Kokabiel's limp body.

"Yes, hand him over," Vali's voice came from within the armor, his tone calm but commanding.

"No!" Mahiro replied firmly.

Without hesitation, Mahiro plunged hyōrinmaru into Kokabiel's body.

"Ugh!" Kokabiel groaned as the blade pierced him.

Vali: "You..."

Mahiro didn't pause. The moment the blade pierced Kokabiel, the full power of ice erupted inside him.

Had Kokabiel not been so severely injured, he might have withstood the onslaught.

But now, he was helpless.

As the power exploded within him, Kokabiel was instantly frozen solid, turned into an ice sculpture.

Boom!

With a slight flick of Mahiro's hand, the ice sculpture shattered into countless fragments, which fell to the ground.

Kokabiel died completely when the ice shattered.

"You killed him?" Vali asked, stunned by what he had just witnessed.

"And what of it?" Mahiro sneered.

"Coming to Kuoh Town and thinking he can touch my future wife?"

"Did you really believe I'd let him live?"
