Chapter 149 - Sona: Mahiro, You Have To Be Careful!
"You have gone crazy!"
Sona's expression was extremely grim.
"Hahaha, have I?"
Kokabiel didn't get angry at Sona's insult but laughed and admitted, "Yeah, I've gone crazy, and these boring days are driving me insane!"
"Since the end of the Great War, every day has been unbearably dull. Especially that guy Azazel—he's even restrained the Fallen Angels from dealing with other factions and vowed not to start another war in the future."
Kokabiel's eyes were filled with madness, his narrow face hideous and terrifying.
"I can't help thinking that I'll waste away in such monotonous days. I want to destroy everything!" he exclaimed frantically.
He then restrained his crazed look and gave Sona a cold glance.
"Not long ago, I finally couldn't bear it anymore."
"Since everyone doesn't want to fight again, it means I'm the only one left. I will start the war, kill the four Satans, and kill Michael. No one can stop me!"
Kokabiel looked like a madman, but his determination was palpable.
Sona looked up at the sky and couldn't help shivering.
Mahiro, still supporting Sona, gave Kokabiel a helpless look.
"I'd really like to applaud your speech," he said.
"Oh, Red Dragon Emperor, aren't you also interested in my thoughts?"
Kokabiel looked down, showing a hint of interest.
It suddenly dawned on him that every generation of the Red Dragon Emperor was a militant, a fighting fanatic.
If this guy was the same, it wouldn't be surprising for him to be interested upon hearing his war declaration.
"No, I just wanted to applaud your clown-like performance."
Mahiro glanced at Kokabiel.
"As a Fallen Angel cadre, wouldn't it be too pitiful if you were always performing a one-man show with no one paying attention to you?"
"What did you say?!"
Kokabiel seemed stuck in his throat, burning with rage as he stared at Mahiro with incomparable anger.
"In just a few words, you turn to anger. Hmm, that really fits your personality," Mahiro said indifferently, facing Kokabiel.
"Or do you think I'm wrong?"
Mahiro sneered. "Your primary goal in taking the Holy Swords is actually to attract Michael, right?"
Hearing this, Kokabiel was stunned for a moment, then admitted frankly, "You actually know what I'm thinking?"
"Brat, I like you more and more. Do you want to consider joining me?"
"If the two of us join forces, we'll have a place in the Three Factions. Even Michael and Sirzechs can't stop us."
Kokabiel extended an invitation to Mahiro.
"So, you are nothing but a clown."
Mahiro smiled sarcastically. "A clown is a clown; even if given a stage, you still won't perform.
"Do you think you're worthy to invite me?"
Silence.
For a moment, the area around the church was quiet.
Both Valper and Sona looked at Mahiro in disbelief.
In their opinion, it was utterly irrational to anger Kokabiel at such a time.
Even though they knew Mahiro was the Red Dragon Emperor.
But Kokabiel, who had survived since ancient times, held a deterrent power not weaker than any Red Dragon Emperor in their hearts.
Kokabiel's face turned pale and flushed alternately, his breath fluctuating, and the surrounding space filled with a terrifying sense of oppression.
"You really know how to talk," Kokabiel looked at Mahiro through gritted teeth, wishing to tear him apart.
"Am I wrong? You've been performing a one-man show for so long."
"You think you can start a Great War with your own strength, but in others' eyes, you're just a struggling clown," Mahiro sneered mercilessly.
"You can't catch the attention of Michael and Sirzechs at all. Your so-called Holy Sword plan and provoking a Great War are just clown acts in their eyes!"
"They don't take you seriously at all!"
"If it weren't for the fact that you targeted Kuoh Town, even I wouldn't care about your clowning," Mahiro mocked without mercy.
"Bastard! I'll let you know what death is," Kokabiel's words were cold and murderous.
"Oh my, you piece of trash?"
Mahiro sneered, contempt shining in his eyes.
Kokabiel's eyes turned red—not because they were naturally so, but because he was so angry he almost lost his mind.
Mahiro's words were so piercing.
Not because they were false, but because every word was true.
The Holy Swords are treasures of the Church. Initially, Kokabiel wanted to steal them to lure out Michael, but Michael was indifferent to the theft.
Then, Kokabiel set his sights on Satan's sister and traveled to Kuoh Town.
However, he didn't even catch a glimpse of Serafall or Sirzechs.
"I will kill you before the fusion of Holy Swords are completed," Kokabiel quickly reined in his anger and swiftly recovered.
"If the son-in-law of the Gremory Clan dies, although not as impactful as Rias Gremory herself, it will still make Sirzechs furious."
Mahiro, holding Sona, set her down and let her lean against a large tree.
"Mahiro, you have to be careful..." Sona raised her hand and tugged at Mahiro's sleeve, tears filling her eyes.
"It's fine," Mahiro smiled confidently. "Sona, don't look away for a moment."
Mahiro turned around, and his aura suddenly changed.
"Otherwise, you'll miss the scene where I avenge you."
