Chapter 125 - Cao Cao's Attention

In an unknown town, on a grassy field full of blooming flowers, a young man was lying down with his hands behind his head and his eyes closed.

He wore a unique mix of a Japanese school uniform—a gakuran—and ancient Chinese hanfu, giving him a retro yet distinctive look.

Next to him was an oddly shaped long spear.

If any high-ranking member of the Three Factions saw it, they'd recognize it instantly.

Because this spear was very famous.

It was the Holy Spear of the Setting Sun, the strongest Longinus.

Also known in the Bible as the Spear of Longinus.

The young man was the wielder of this Holy Spear.

"Cao Cao, so this is where you're hiding?"

Another young man about the same age approached from a distance, calling out his name.

Cao Cao—the famous figure from the Three Kingdoms era.

This wasn't the historical Cao Cao, but his descendant who inherited his name.

The young man on the grass opened his eyes, glanced over lazily, and said, "Georg."

Cao Cao wielded the strongest Longinus, and the only one who could speak to him as an equal was someone of similar status.

The young man named Georg was also a wielder of a top-tier Longinus.

"You're just lounging around here? Haven't you heard? Big trouble in the Underworld," Georg said.

"The Underworld? What's up?" Cao Cao asked, slightly surprised. He hadn't been paying attention to the outside world.

Seeing Georg's expression, Cao Cao guessed, "Looks like something major happened."

"The Red Dragon Emperor has finally appeared, and the Underworld is buzzing about it," Georg said.

"Oh? That's unexpected," Cao Cao replied, a bit intrigued. "But it doesn't really concern us. The Red Dragon Emperor's opponent is the White Dragon Emperor."

"Vali won't sit still; it's his old rival after all. But with the Red Dragon Emperor showing up, Vali's attention will be divided, which makes things easier for us."

"There's more to it," Georg shook his head. "I heard the Red Dragon Emperor stole Riser Phenex's fiancée and then fought him."

"Riser Phenex? He's tough to handle," Cao Cao mused. He knew a bit about the Devils, especially the Phenex Clan and their super recovery potions, Phenex Tears.

Cao Cao chuckled, "So the Red Dragon Emperor actually took Riser's fiancée. Chasing after women—that's typical of past Red Dragon Emperors."

"So, what happened?" Cao Cao asked.

"Riser got defeated in seconds by the Red Dragon Emperor," Georg said.

"What?" Cao Cao was stunned.

"Riser brought all his servants to duel the Red Dragon Emperor. In just a minute, he was taken down," Georg explained.

"Did the Red Dragon Emperor use his Balance Breaker?" Cao Cao asked, surprised.

He figured only with the Balance Breaker could someone beat Riser so quickly. Otherwise, with a Phenex's immortality, defeating him in seconds would be impossible.

"He did achieve it," Georg nodded. "But believe it or not, he beat Riser without using the Balance Breaker—or even the Boosted Gear."

"Oh?" Cao Cao sat up, looking at Georg. "You're saying the Red Dragon Emperor beat Riser Phenex as a human?"

"Yes. Vali might have met his match this time. He's considered the strongest White Dragon Emperor in history, but this Red Dragon Emperor is even more terrifying than any before him," Georg said.

"Interesting. Where is this Red Dragon Emperor now?" Cao Cao asked.

"What? You're interested in him?" Georg looked surprised.

"Defeating a Devil like Riser in seconds as a human—that's hero material," Cao Cao said with a smile.

In his eyes, Devils were destined to be defeated by heroes.

"You want to invite him?" Georg asked, not expecting Cao Cao to consider recruiting the Red Dragon Emperor.

Their group was called the Hero Faction, made up of descendants of ancient heroes or those with the potential to become heroes.

By calling the Red Dragon Emperor a "hero," Cao Cao showed his high regard for him.

"Maybe we'll give it a shot," Cao Cao nodded. "It's a waste for someone like him to stay with the Devils. Only with us can he achieve true heroism."

"But it seems he's become the Gremory Clan's son-in-law. It won't be easy to bring him over," Georg said.

"Oh? So he was competing with Riser for the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess? She's quite famous among the Devils," Cao Cao was first surprised, then indifferent. "Every Red Dragon Emperor is surrounded by women. If the Gremory Clan wants to tie him down with their daughter, why can't we do the same?"

"What do we have that compares to the Crimson-Haired Ruin Princess?" Georg asked, puzzled. He didn't expect Cao Cao to suggest using a honey trap, but it was just like him.

"Jeanne's pretty good, isn't she?" Cao Cao said with a grin.

"She's beautiful by human standards, but her personality is a bit..." Georg made a face.

As his teammate, he knew Jeanne's character well.

In short, Jeanne wasn't the ideal woman—not as captivating as Rias Gremory.

"That's even better. A woman without her own personality gets boring fast. Only those with unique charm can truly attract men," Cao Cao said with a smile.
