Chapter 4 - naked infront of him

Amaya's POV

Seven years ago, when I went to jail, I couldn't believe that Adrien Markram, the richest person in America, was staying near that hotel room. At first, I didn't recognize him because he is not a social person, although news about him was everywhere. No one was allowed to capture his picture, but I knew how he looked because one of my friends works in the news industry and showed me his picture at that time.

Maybe these police know him because of their work; many police were under the control of the Markram family. So they might know what he looks like.

But I have to do something to get rid of these police. I was just in a towel, and I want them to leave so that afterward I can explain the situation to him, because I don't want him to go against me.

I got near him and tried my best so that the police would think it was his private moment by being in just towel, both the police were staring at us like they were so shocked to see him with any women. and then the police left after seeing us like that. But wait, he looked very angry.

I know I didn't have any right to do this, and he was angry, but I didn't know what to say to him. He closed the door very quickly; maybe he didn't like someone seeing us in that way.

He was looking at me in an aggressive way, and then he held my hands and dragged me into the room. I was worried about what he would do to me. He pinned me to the wall and held my wrists against it. I looked into his gray eyes, which demanded a perfect explanation about everything.

"I'm sorry, Adrien. I didn't want to do this, but I didn't have any other option," I said, but he still looked unsatisfied with my answer. Our bodies were very close, and I closed my eyes out of fear.

He came near my ear and said, "So, you already knew who I was, right? Then you also know what I can do to you. I want a proper explanation from you, If you don't want to go to jail."

I was scared after hearing him. No way, I don't want to go to jail again. I still have scars from my past life, and I remember everything that happened to me in jail.

He was still holding my hands tightly, pinning them against the wall. Wait, I hadn't committed any crime, so I didn't need to be scared of him. I looked into his eyes with anger and said, "If you really wanted me to go to jail, you could have done that when the police were here, but you supported my lie. Believe me or not, but I haven't done anything wrong..." I was continuing my sentence, but because I was just in a towel and he was holding my wrist against the wall, I couldn't hold onto my towel, and slowly its knot loosened, and the towel fell from my body.

I was shocked at that moment. My words got stuck in my throat. I wasn't even wearing any undergarments; my body was completely naked. I looked at his face in embarrassment and shyness. What the hell is happening between us? It was getting more and more awkward.

I looked at his face; he had the same expression as me. I glanced at his eyes; he was still looking into my eyes without once looking at my body. He released my hands and looked away, saying, "Go, first, wear your dress in the bathroom." Without waiting for a second, I grabbed the towels and went inside the bathroom, locking it from inside. My heartbeat was racing so fast that I could hear it clearly.

I stood there for a moment to calm my heartbeat. He was very different from other men. I put on my dress and stepped out of the bathroom, looking around the room, but he wasn't there. I thought he might be in the balcony, but he wasn't there either. I was confused about why he left so suddenly without even waiting. Maybe he wasn't interested in knowing about me; after all, he is the richest person. Why would it even bother him? I know he might think I'm a criminal.

I left the room and found myself in the hotel corridor. I glanced back at the room and remembered how, in my past, I was dragged by the police from that room to the corridor. Every staff member was looking at me disgustedly, and some female staff were gossiping about me.

Lost in thoughts about my past, I suddenly remembered that I needed to leave the hotel quickly. I didn't want to get involved in any trouble. After a minute, I stepped outside the hotel and saw my sister Kate standing there. She must have been waiting for me, expecting me to get dragged by the police, just like in the past. She was waiting outside and saw me, but she didn't offer to help. She once said that I was desperate to meet Director Lee, but thankfully, she didn't see me this time. That was good for me.

I hailed a taxi and went to my apartment, which I had bought by saving money for more than 10 years. I worked as Kate's assistant because my father forced me to do so. They didn't even pay me the salary I deserved; it was three times less than the salary of an assistant. But thank God, I saved up and bought an apartment.
