Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: The Title's Appeal

The revelation of Lin's solo conquest of the Hell Outpost was no secret among the professionals present. When Luo Gesi boasted of his intention to tackle the Hell Outpost alone for the title, the crowd could hardly contain their amusement. The title, after all, could only belong to one, and Lin had already claimed it. Luo Gesi's late realization turned his expression into a vivid display of frustration and embarrassment, much to the entertainment of onlookers.

His face cycling through shades of red and blue, Luo Gesi's pride seemed to take a direct hit. Yet, a dangerous glint in his eye and the emergence of a murderous intent signaled a shift in his demeanor. Fixated on the dungeon entrance, Luo Gesi decisively rallied his knights, disregarding any semblance of chivalry with a curt command.

The knights, hesitant but bound by duty, voiced their concerns about the implications of their actions. "Your Highness, are you certain? This could lead to serious repercussions," one cautioned, highlighting the potential fallout of attacking professionals from the Shenxia Empire on their own soil.

Undeterred, Luo Gesi unrolled a scroll, a tool among professionals capable of performing a variety of functions, from summoning skills to sealing spells. Shielded from prying eyes by his knights, Luo Gesi's preparations went unnoticed by the surrounding crowd, curious yet oblivious to the unfolding scheme.

"They've entered the dungeon," remarked a bystander, mistakenly assuming Luo Gesi's team sought a straightforward challenge, unaware of their true intention to confront Lin and Ning Yiyi within.

As Lin and Ning Yiyi continued their jaunt through the dungeon, their laughter and light-hearted banter filled the air, until the abrupt appearance of Luo Gesi and his entourage interrupted. Ning Yiyi, recognizing the use of a dungeon tracking scroll, quickly surmised their intentions. "They've used a dungeon tracking scroll," she explained, detailing how it allowed them to intrude upon their dungeon run.

Luo Gesi, not stopping there, activated another scroll to seal the dungeon, preventing any escape. Ning Yiyi's face fell as she realized their predicament, "He's used a teleportation seal scroll. We can't use our dungeon escape talismans now."

Lin, noticing the dimmed talisman, understood the gravity of their situation. Surrounded, yet undaunted, he faced Luo Gesi's smug proclamation of intent. "Didn't expect me to follow you in, did you?" Luo Gesi sneered, his true colors shining through as he relished their apparent desperation.

But Lin, with a cold smile, revealed his own countermeasure, "You've sealed the exit, but you've also trapped yourself with us." As if on cue, the dungeon filled with the clattering of bones — Lin's skeleton army, ready for battle, surrounded Luo Gesi and his knights, turning the hunters into the hunted.

Luo Gesi, momentarily confused, soon realized the tables had turned. His boastful confidence wavered under the menacing gaze of Lin's skeletal forces. "Just some skeletons think they can stop me? I am a Vulcan Warrior!" he declared, igniting his armor in a fiery display of defiance.

Yet, Lin's calm demeanor hinted at a deeper strategy. "Knowing your enemy is crucial. You came unprepared," he said, signaling the imminent clash.

Ning Yiyi, though outwardly calm, couldn't hide her irritation with Luo Gesi's arrogance. "It'll be interesting to see how you fare against the Hell Outpost without a title to claim," she quipped, her faith in Lin unwavering.

The standoff in the dungeon was more than a battle for survival — it was a clash of wills, with Lin and Ning Yiyi standing firm against the might of the Holy See of Guluo, ready to defend their honor and prove the true mettle of a Necromancer and his companion against the so-called divine might of a Vulcan Warrior.
